I've seen splash years ago, I used to have it on VHS. It's not the same at all. Spring was about a mermaid, remember?

Maybe a similar concept, but I still think Spring had an original idea using a century's old monster

You're being literal...Of course it's about the concept and the inner characters positions.You cannot copy an idea literally.One's a blonde and the other one is a brunette.From your perspective,it is already a different idea lol.You have to look beyond the physical aspects and look at it from within. They both go through the same ordeals and struggles.It's there and are other movies have had similar themes.I liked this movie "Spring" but it's nothing groundbreaking.The lead character was very impressive and I'm looking forward to other movies she will be in.

I Loved the movie, and the story seemed pretty original to me so I can't wait to have SA 001 in my collection.

Seriously? Comparing 'Splash' & 'Spring'? One is a goofy comedy, the other a horror movie...
With that weird logic, you could say: if you Love 'The Exorcist' you will love 'A Little Princess'... They are both about a little girl who can't leave her room....
