i understand what your saying but if they were really worried about re-sell and ebayers than they would drop the limit to 2 or 3 but its not so as long as the order is 5 and under, then the order no matter for how many titles should be valid

I agree with you, I don't understand the reason to put a maximum of 5 steelbooks of the same release, if when you order more than 3 your order is deleted.

The rules are the rules, and you shouldn't be punished if you don't break them.

I think zavvi, should maybe change the order section to only allow you to purchase a maximum of two, that way at least they can't just go and cancel your account. I still have a few titles on order where I have ordered two copies, but this is mainly because I still don't trust their packaging, as I received Silence of the Lambs last week in a bloody jiffy bag, luckily steelbook ok, but they still need to address this properly and until they do, I am sure many people will still order more than one copy.

Yes It should be fixed by putting a limit on any limited release to max of 2 per customer that would to me be fair and no multi account allowed with same name or bank card details problem with pay pal and pre paid credit cards is its easy to abuse this
Why should any customer have to pay more than the retail price of a steelbook only to see it on ebay and have to pay double or more its wrong to me its that simple
Ok a bit off the form here but is related i work in retail security now and one areas i work is a supermarket
Drink promotions were there is qty of 2 or 4 max allowed per person to purchase
We often get persons wanting to buy 10 or 15 bottles of vodka or 15 cases of beer
its quite clear its a person who owns a pub and is trying to buy drinks cheaper than them going to supplier and buying then ripping of cutomers in there pub with massive mark up and vat man dont know
its the same with blu ray or dvd or any product no person needs more than 1 of same title now different yes when there is different releases with different covers i used to buyer for a major record store back in the 90's and use to sell to collectors same product only difference was artwork was different
But come on be real buying more than 1 of a product with no difference in all 5 of them is very clear its to re sell at face value or as a profit or buying for others if its to buy for others get them buy it not you

I don't reckon this is going to have the same glossy finish as the originals. Looks like the exact same art (going by the pic in the JP thread) including the blue banner (why?!) but the originals are just very good quality steels which I can't see these re-releases bettering

I do hope they remove the blue banner. At least that way there will be an instantly noticeable difference between it and the play release.

If Zavvi aren't happy to honour the 5 per title rule they have set then they need to reduce the limit. It's a bit ridiculous how an account can have all of its orders cancelled when none of them are over the limit per item.

Me too, but it looks like it has been left on the artwork if you look in the thread for the Japanese release with the same art

the blue banner looks good on this steel imo, it would look a bit plain otherwise but I do hope there is some debossing or something but that's prob unlikely.

Look at it from this point of view you buy 5 copies of star trek why you need 5 copies be real its not for your own use only 1 of them is for your use
when you buy 5 you deprive 4 other customers from buying and if you get lot of people doing this buying 5 copies you get a lot of customers not getting a chance to buy at retail price and miss out on getting
Last year i missed out on Titanic box set and Iron Man 1 and 2 Braveheart steelbooks etc
I dont see in my collection at home 5 steelbooks of roger rabbit steelbook ony my shelf i see 1 copy of roger rabbit and i have star trek the new zavvi black one on order you wont see 5 of them on my shelf no one needs more than 1 copy lets be real here anyone ordering more than 1 is depriving others and out to make a profit

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind blue banners. But I do hate re-releases with the exact same artwork and in this case it seems that Paramount have just dug out the original template for the art and sent them off to Scanavo to be reprinted. To me that really lacks effort.

This release will not be equal or better, even if it's the same art and finish. Steels are getting thinner. This is 1 disc not 3 like the original was.

Since Zavvi ships worldwide, the need to buy multiple copies is less than when Play was king. My UK buddy had a Play list a mile long for him, me and his CA buddy. I am able to get them on my own now. He still needs US steels, so I order multiples here, hoping to get a decent copy, and it doesn't always happen. I'm able to return the extras, which is not the case if the seller is not in the US.
