My Zavvi copy doesn't look like that - mine looks identical in every way and the finish is the same.

Mine too, I think the confusion over the size of the blu banner/logo is because in the comparison pic the steel is still shrinkwrapped and the 'banner' is in fact the j card, not the printed banner on the steelbook itself, the banner on the steelbook is thinner and the bluray logo is smaller than the one on the j card

I cant see any difference between the play one and the zavvi one at all in the artwork or finish, Im happy to finally have a steelbook Ive wanted for a long time (I always been a fan of the artwork and wasnt buying blurays when the play one was released) Im not fussed about it being a single disk edition, I dont care about disks I'll never use and stickers Id peel off and throw away

Exactly. The shade and size difference is on the J-Card, not the steel.

My copy arrived yesterday from Zavvi with a spine slash and a whole lot of hair thin scratches on the back

In regards to why zavvi cancelled, they said something to do with stock. How it should have happened baffles me as I ordered mine way back in February.

They just gave me a 10% discount, which is quite shocking to be honest and they still haven't replied to an email I had sent 3 days ago

I got that 10% discount mail also, however it doesn't seem to work on pre-order steelbooks, which is a bit crap considering thats what was cancelled.

Since my used FS steels never had the backing card (hate that), I'm glad to have the card finally. DON'T THROW THE CARD AWAY. Don't cut it to fit inside either. Unless you're keeping it forever.

My last Zavvi pre-order had the spine slash, so I was pretty happy this time.

Opened it last night, brushed my hand over the top to feel the finish, now got loads of hairline swipey scrapes across the front. Tried to rub them away with a soft cloth, now got even morE!

I've still not received my two copies that were dispatched on the 8th. Now I am genuinely worried that they will not show up, I've not had this since prometheus from play.

I'm going to contact them if it's not here on monday as it's been 10 days now since dispactch, is anyone else still waiting for their copy?
