There are two different order descriptions for each Steelboook:
1. Star Trek XI - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray] (Black)
2. Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray] (White)

so, a carbon copy of the original, but with no bonus disc.
so now a decision!
do i keep the play.com one? with its scratches.
do i keep the zavvi one? with no bonus disc.
do i swap the front and back off my play.com one with mint front and back off the zavvi one?
do i keep both? seems silly to keep 2 almost identiacal steels, especially with the black cover release arriving in a couple of weeks.
i dont NEED the bonus disc (and i will pick up the maray with slip at some point anyway)
and tbh i think the inside art is nicer without 3 discs obscuring it.
and the data sheet is a lot better/more substantial on the zavvi release.
decisions decisions!

Mine turned up with a big lump of something on the top left of the front cover just left of the S in Star Trek. It is really difficult to tell if it is a big blob of paint or a blob of glue. I wanted to keep this sealed for a while but it looks like the only to resolve the issue is by opening it I suppose

Mine had the same issue mate. Opened it and it was just the sticky stuffy that holds the J-Card

Mines got a small white paint defect on the enterprise which sticks out like a sore thumb when I look at it. Got another on the way today so hopefully that will be perfect

I can't believe they put the blu-banner on the top. I mean honestly when was the last time a steelbook came out with a blu-banner? They had to start again on the former rarest steelbook in the UK. Blu-banners are suppose to be a novelty design now.

That is why I still believe these are leftovers from the 2009 run. Apart from Germany, nobody puts blue banners on their Steelbooks anymore. Especially high profile releases.

I find that hard to believe. All that extra stock would take up so much room and play.com needed all the cash they could get. If they go with a blu-banner they at least needed to print on the rating stickers like Germany does.

I lost most of my respect towards Zavvi with this release. I'm glad Asia is printing the same steels most of the time so I don't have to give Zavvi any cash.

How big was that batch of whites that came in stock the other day. I ordered well before they took down the listing and they haven't been shipped yet. I got an email that they were sorry they had not been shipped and they had been checking with suppliers still.....
