interesting tidbit.
loads of the Star Trek got damaged back in the day but no confirmed number tbh. In the region of a few thousand units / a pallet load, as a result of a fork lift error!! The warehouse ended up destroying them as they were un-returnable and no good to send to customers

This is overrated to an extent,
it's definatly not worth the price that some people are paying.
But nonetheless it's an excellent steel! Even if you're not the biggest Trek fan like me.
What would a second hand one set me back? Minor damage okay is fine.

...about £55 unsealed.

I was on the hunt for an unsealed one of these not so long ago, and most on eBay went for somewhere around the £50 mark. I managed to snag one for £40 and thought I'd got myself a great deal, until it arrived with two dents on the front. They're not too bad though, so I shrugged it off and kept it... plus this was just after I'd gone through a month of trying to get a refund for another damaged steel, so I couldn't be bothered with the hassle again.

Good luck with the hunt!

I had this when i pre ordered it off play.com, watched it once, I was thinking the other day shall i sell it. so i checked the steelbook and never noticed before but its got a gash on the spine and a ding on the front. I dont think I was as fussy as checking over my steels when I got this. Im now gonna go and check all my old steels over again and see how many are damaged! :(

I love the look of this steelbook and would def of pre ordered it back then if i had a blu ray player, but didn't get into bluray til way after and now this goes for a fortune, hope to get it one day though lol

Seems to be around the £50 mark on ebay.

One (sealed) went for £118 the other weekEEK!

I've got the FS one. Think they're pretty much the same. No idea what they go for though.

yeah £118 think i saw that before and if i remember correctly i seen one for £130 odd quid, don't think i fancy paying that:hilarious:

I found it in CeX for £6 a few months ago, but sold it for £50 as I was in need of funds, and while a good movie, wasnt too keen on keeping it....

Amazing to think that there were 15k copies of this, it goes to show that it's not only the ultra limited editions that rise in value so much.

How much did you pay?

Gotta love CEX. They haven't got a clue about prices.

I've picked up some right bargains from there including Hannah SB for £4, T2 SB for £8 & Back To The Future Tin £20 (after it sold out).
