To be honest I have a few on pre-order but it look's like I will cancel them all my mate plans to do the same what was a ltd uk release has now been given to Germany which is just wasted this opportunity for zavvi also the german release will be same only cheaper most likely i don't know what zavvi were thinking here they will lose sales to the cheaper sold german release leaving zavvi with the larger priced stock that they will find hard to shift, they may find all those pre-orders will soon be cancellations truly a missed opportunity for another zavvi exclusive and a star trek one at that.

The clues in your post, its a Zavvi UK exclusive and Germany isnt in the UK....

Then it's a zavvi exclusive? not a uk exclusive correct?
Oh wait it's not even that since amazon Germany is getting it so not a

zavvi exclusive and not a uk exclusive hmm how many more lies.

zavvi exclusive = only zavvi will have this (e.g. hmv, play exclusive)
u.k. exclusive = only available in the u.k (that would exclude germany right?)
Zavvi u.k exclusive = clearly no such thing of the sort.

Now what was a zavvi u.k exclusive was roger rabbit only at zavvi only

in the u.k that's how star trek and all others advertised as such should

be otherwise it's just not true.

I will happily spend my money on an exclusive as i'm sure others would

if that's infact what it is and not some marketing scam to take your

money just be honest don't lie it makes you look untrustworthy and looks as

if you trying to con us out of our hard earned cash people are not stupid and steelbook collectors are certainly not we will catch you out.

End of rant.EEK!

That's not how exclusives work. If it's UK exclusive that means only that one store (zavvi in this case) can carry it. That doesn't mean another country cannot carry it. Uk exclusive and zavvi exclusive mean the same thing in this instance. If it was a worldwide exclusive (which this title is not) then no other country could carry it.

Roger rabbit is a worldwide exclusive.

We can have US Exclusives and then Canadian Exclusives of the same movie, even though we are neighboring countries. Exclusive doesn't mean it's the only one they'll ever make.

Ah ok so it works backwards then zavvi release RR and it's WW exclusive so effectively it locks out the rest of the world from getting/using it and a u.k exclusive means that store gets it and the rest of the u.k are locked out but the rest of the world is open? ok I get it thanks for clearing that up for me strange it's done that way and there's so many ways to word it as well but thx again it will help in the future and I now know that the star trek is available to be used in the rest of the world then ill stick with the white it's too much like double dipping with the black now and I much prefer the white art the side affect is now the market is saturated with star trek shame.:(

Since Zavvi operates in the UK, it must be a UK exclusive.

Not really.

Zavvi is based in the UK, and is offering it for sale within (and outside) the UK territory. It's a Zavvi exclusive as far as the UK market is concerned, but is also available in other territories be it a store exclusive or otherwise.

People get hung up on the word exclusive. HMV had the UK exclusive of Resident Evil: Retrubution, but it was also available pretty much everywhere else in the world. It might have had different discs, or a slip added, but strip that away and the steelbook itself would have been identical.

Also, just because a steelbook is listed as an exclusive, doesn't mean it'll stay that way either worldwide or even within the original country. As we've seen, Zavvi picked up a lot of Play's leftover stock, and steelbooks get reissued all the time in identical (or as near as) designs.
