There are two different order descriptions for each Steelboook:

1. Star Trek XI - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]
2. Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]

No 1 (The 'Zavvi Exclusive') is the black one.

And this is not the steelbook but just giving you idea on how it would look with the front and back. ie. giving the collector the choice of which side they want as front so you can switch the plates.

I Pre-ordered the zavvi exclusive white 1 Disc Steelbook , which you cant find anymore on Zavvi...

Now you just find the black one... So i contacted the Support and this is what they wrote:

The features for both of these steelbooks is the same, as is the price. It looks like the one you pre ordered was an early listing, and this was then re listed with the cover art shown in the link you sent over.

The artwork is subject to change, and until we receive these steelbooks in our warehouse we won't know exactly which artwork we will receive.

If there's anything else we can do please don't hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Does the support staff understand what they are saying? This feels ridiculous tbh.. Artwork subject to change and we don't know what we'll receive :angry:

how many times does it need to be said ..... there is a white and a black version if you ordered the white one you will get the white one, if you missed out on the white one and have ordered the black one you are getting the black one. If you ordered 1 of each you will get one of each ... holy moley its not rocket science

Yet Zavvi's own staff are unable to clarify the situation 100%. No need to get worked up, it was a simple question and for me we need a definitive answer from Wreck since he's the only one who we know (I mean out of him and Zavvi) that doesn't give us false/inaccurate/partial information.

im not getting worked up but there is 2 separate threads created by Wreck it was confirmed in the other thread.

You seem to be missing the point. When people who don't even work for Zavvi know more about their products than their own staff do it doesn't help when people have questions or concerns about said products, does it?

Whether Wreck confirmed TWO seperate steelbooks is irrelevant, if there are conflicting answers from either side there will always be confusion!!

i completely agree that zavvi staff should know their products ... queue Wreck to try and sort this mess out :thumbs:
 
The Staff surely has a funny way of answering support questions.. Reminds me of XFX and GPU-Support LOL...

But what i dont get in Mind is... How can someone bring out an exclusive Steelbook and not know what he is bringing out ...LOL...

Since i order from Germany it does matter what i get .. Since recieving and sending back items do take a while.. especially with zavvi and co ;)

If it is really true, that they bring out 2 different exclusive Steelbooks , then i can still cancel one order and re-order the new one so i have both...

ok, i get that there will be 2 editions at Zavvi but:

ordered white version, account shows "Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]"
ordered black version, account shows "Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]"

how will anyone know the difference?

My account shows the black version as "Star Trek XI - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]"

And the white one as "Star Trek XI - Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook [Blu-ray]"

So there is a difference.
 
Yes the Zavvi staff should be more helpful, however im sure theyre not all super duper steelbook collectors so probably dont know every tiny detail about every product they stock just as any shops employee wont know everything about every product they sell! Maybe people should calm down and stop acting like these are the only thing important in the world....
