Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

Haha see i'm very happy about the front cover literally identical to the one i designed back in may. looks like entertainment copied me :p a beautiful steelbook is thanks enough though ...shame about the probably high price but i'd rather give my money to ES then zavvi.

this is what i'd like to see for star trek into darkness. want it to be the spiritual successor to the play/futureshop steel. SO wanted something that'd work well with them. I've also taken a page out of the dark knight rises 1st release, by taking a part of artwork then extending it to create the front and back, as well as inside. excuse the unclean edges of the images was just a quick mock up.

The 'but we have really special plans for the packaging.' makes me edge towards wanting this one. Aswell as the artwork being much nicer. I think this will be the release to get.

Lol didn't realise there are two versions! still prefer the Walmart version :D but got a feeling this art will grow on me soon enough.

WOW! love that UK getting a 3D release of this, let alone 2, plus a possible 2D HMV edition, both arts are exclusive, even the other ES one differs from the similar artworks (back and location of text)...

But, how many different arts are they for this, i mean there is ES#1, ES#2, Wall-Mart, Dutch Saturn, Dutch trade-wide, French/Spanish, Blufans (possible), not to mention the other 2 arts in the poll for the China version

Whoever said ES were falling behind :p
