Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

Why is everyone constantly annoyed with something or other? So it won't arrive as early as everyone had hoped, it's not the end of the World, what difference is a day or two extra? Spare a thought for those in the group buys who have an anxious wait for the next couple of weeks.

I really can't believe some of the comments I read on here. Any casual observer would find it hard to believe that more than a handful of members of this forum actually enjoy collecting at the moment.

I come to these threads to read about the release and gather information and they're filled with whining, bitching, worrying about print runs, customs fees, future price speculation, greed, and "how many copies are left?"

Go back to Blu-ray.com :p

ES ships by Second Class in the downsized cardboard packaging which is designed to fit Large Letter. Second Class usually takes 3~5 working days which means it is perfectly fine to allow a week for delivery. I received my first copy Saturday and hoping the remaining 2 copies would show up today or tomorrow which is perfectly normal. I would be worried if the package doesn't show up by end of this week or damaged.

oh my! EEK!

iTunes version that comes with Amazon UK Steelbook includes the visual commentary

I see. The ES one also is an Itunes digital copy as well as a Windows media copy. Strange that they would do this unless it's their way of pushing digital downloads, I would much prefer to have this on the disc. Anyway thanks for the info and I have added this to the video.

Well no steelbook today for me either , not bad since it was posted a week ago tomorrow.
Ordered the new blu of THE FUGITIVE from the USA last Tuesday and I got it delivered SATURDAY ! .... go figure.

Why is our postal service so **** ?

Well mine arrived today. :D

On the plus side it's arrived by day of release. On the downside it was shipped on Tuesday and you would expect 2nd Class post to be 2-3 days for Royal Mail at least. But technically it was still within their estimate of 3-4 working days.

Royal Mail might get some flak but they do deliver on Saturday. TNT don't unless you pay extra for it.

Though on a side note I think working days should include weekends. Times have changed a lot since the majority of people only worked Mon-Fri.

For those complaining that they didn't receive theirs early on Saturday, I didn't even receive mine today, release day.
Looks like the decision has been made for me, in watching Deadline Day tonight instead of Star Trek.

Shoot me if this is a daft question - wasn't this supposed to include a UV copy? But it says "digital copy" now it's arrived..... is there a difference?

(By the way, i would've expected something that was posted last Tuesday to have arrived before today as well, sorry for those who still haven't got theirs yet)

No sign of mine either
Even though they took my money last Monday so a week ago
Despatch was supposed to have been Tuesday according to my email
3-4 days was the delivery time so that means tomorrow it will be late.

When I ordered Jack Reacher from ES it took about a fortnight to arrive. Whoever they are using as their courier are obviously incompetent.
