Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

I'm on the fence on this one. I'm all in for the BluFans Exclusive and jumped the gun on the FS version which i'll honor. Just dont know if I should go for this one knowing there will be Korean and Taiwan versions not far away. Not a official just guessing...

Saw the Blu-Fans post first and thoght wow that is crazy 3 different SB for 1 movie and now I see the UK is also having 3 Version. Anyway good that the Pictures used are the same worldwide, so I guess I will go with the UK releases and maybe get another one of the Blu-Fans. It`s getting expensive.

This is definitely my preferred artwork. Having a ship on the front will also match nicely with my play.com steelie of Star Trek.

Not a big fan of the 2D Blu-ray art, the heads shoe-horned into the pre-existing art. The other ship shot for the 3D I agree would also have worked well.

Having not seen the film yet is the front cover a spoiler in anyway? Part of me doesn't want to know the answer to my question.

Will prob pick up the Amazon steel as I'm guessing it will be cheaper and personally couldn't care less about the 3D. Shame as I think the art work on this is the best for the UK so far.

It's a spoiler as much as the cinema release posters and nearly every trailer did.

I don't think you get to know what happens in the movie by the cover art. As "jdslater" said, every trailer/posters contain this images.

OMG! I can't wait to get this in my possession :)

I'm hoping the special packaging will include a lenticular slip that changes from Chris Pine to Benedict Cumberpatch. That or Enterprise to USS Vengeance.

Wow, just found this site, it's great!

That artwork is fantastic! Would love to participate in a GB but the site won't let me go to any of those threads b/c I don't have 20 posts. Any of you know if there's a way around that? Thanks!

It's 30 posts FYI and welcome aboard
