Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

Just arrived in perfect condition at long last .... one week from posting ... I DON'T THINK SO !!
Invoice in the box had 29th August on it but was posted on the 27th ... think I smell bullshit somewhere :hilarious:

Took a week since dispatch and arrived a day late, but it's here and it's scratch and dent free. Not even a spine slash!

Mine finally turned up today too, and thankfully undamaged (they seriously need to revise their packaging though), apart from a fairly long paint chip running down the edge of the spine... luckily it's on a black part of the artwork, so I can just cover it up with a sharpie, but for the price we've paid, I feel these should arrive well packaged and in PERFECT condition. That aside, I really like the steelbook overall.

Get on the site and leave them feedback , I just have ... packaging was not brilliant either considering they were £25 a pop !

Agreed, this was poor packaging, i really don't want to knock these guys as they are new and not part of the bigger e-tailers, but having charged the prices they are and, obviously, reading from this forum, i expected them to take note, shame they haven't.

As such, and as always save for Amazon, it is always profit at the expense of service....

Why is everyone constantly annoyed with something or other? So it won't arrive as early as everyone had hoped, it's not the end of the World, what difference is a day or two extra? Spare a thought for those in the group buys who have an anxious wait for the next couple of weeks.

I really can't believe some of the comments I read on here. Any casual observer would find it hard to believe that more than a handful of members of this forum actually enjoy collecting at the moment.

personally, I was initially annoyed they ****ed up the 'amend your payment details' thing (after taking payment a few days early, which I hadnt planned for: I expected tues/wed at earliest and planned for that, as thats when pre-order's have always been processed/charged in the past, so why would these guys be any different all of a sudden?) - and then they have clearly been lying with dispatch/shipping status - if they didnt lie with the status the order was in, then I wouldnt be so bothered here either. In fact, they claimed they dispatched mine y'day and I was all ready to wait until the end of the week for delivery, but they arrived today = they lie and/or hadnt been bothered to correctly update my order status, so it stuck at 'processing in warehouse' for 5 days (which is another minor gripe-why take so long to pack and ship?)
Sure I'm happy they arrived sooner than I expect from y'day's update, but I'm annoyed they lied to me, again!
They tell me to update/amend card details and that my good would be reserved until I do so, but clearly this is a lie as 350 odd steels re-appeared for sale on their site. The gave me no link to amend details and when I click 'amend' on the order history page, there is no where to go to do what they ask = incorrect advice .
Luckily I didnt chance that their email was correct, and simply re-ordered to get my 2 copies, but what if I trusted them and stuck with trying to amend card details? I'd have lost out as they are no OOS again!
Its not that hard to scan an item when its packed and then shipped. 2 status' and they cant even seem to get that right!

sure, had ONE of these things happened, it wouldn't be a big deal, but its one cock up after another and has put me right off ordering with them again - oh and lets not start on the flimsy card packaging....and I thought Zavvi were bad (then again, I've not dealt with the ES CS yet, which could be as gleaming good as Amazon's so maybe the comparison could be unfair...)

so, in answer to 'why am I annoyed at one thing or another'? take your pick
