Old Updates & infos:
NEW UPDATE 8/13/2013:
We have a short update on the finish details for our 2 exclusive Star Trek Into Darkness steelbooks. Both the steelbook in the Villain Edition and the Hero Edition steelbook will have debossed title treatments and be matte finishes. We had some fantastic ideas for the ***8220;special packaging***8221; we promised for the Hero Edition, but unfortunately the time constraints of turning this around in just over a month before the release date meant that none of them were possible. The Entertainment Store exclusive sticker that has been on our previous releases will be on these releases too, and we can only apologise for being able to make the Hero Edition special rather than extra special.

All is not lost though ***8211; some of the special packaging we had planned for Star Trek Into Darkness will be present on our next release, which we will be announcing exclusively via HDN on Tuesday 20th August. You won***8217;t be disappointed, I promise!

PREVIOUS UPDATE:
A stunning 2D and 3D blu-ray plus digital copy steelbook. Limited to 4,000 copies and available exclusively from The Entertainment Store. Finish, embossing, release date and pricing TBC, but we have really special plans for the packaging.

Original infos:From our friends at Entertainment Store in the UK:
The Entertainment Store Boldly goes where other E-tailers cannot

The fastest growing Entertainment E-tailer on the Marketplace, The Entertainment Store, continues its strong exclusive packaging offering in September 2013 with the introduction of 2 2D and 3D Blu Ray Steelbooks for Star Trek: Into Darkness Home Entertainment release.

The limited edition Steelbooks are limited to 4,000 copies each, and will be available to Pre-order from The Entertainment Store on Play.com from midday Friday July 19th 2013.

Since its arrival in March 2013 The Entertainment Store has been working closely with Paramount Home Entertainment and have already teamed up to bring us exclusive Blu Ray SKUs such as GI Joe and Hansel and Gretel but this latest batch of releases look to be the most interesting yet. The E-tailer distributes product directly from the Studio warehouses so the product is guaranteed as authentic and of the highest quality.

Is there anything the trading standards office can do? It's obvious that they lied to everyone about dispatch dates. I have 3 people depending on me. If I have to refund I have to pay fees. I'm holding ES responsible for any costs I incur.

I would doubt there is anything trading standards can do. Whilst it might be annoying they lied about the shipping the dates. They did ship the item, that it failed to arrive in time for release date is down to the courier. So long as it arrives and is in the condition as described then ES have fufiled the distance selling regulations. They merely said shipped for delivery on day of release. If they had said guranteed delivery on day of release that might be a different story. Without the word gurantee then it can arrive late without penalty.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations however ES are responsible for it whilst it is in the post, so if it arrives with a massive dent in it, then ES under the DSR's are responsibile for either replacing it or refunding you.

Good luck with that. You should have read the T&C you agreed to when you ordered.

Have look at delivery and misc sections:http://www.play.com/Helpdesk/Genera...Terms_and_Conditions.aspx#delivery_title_risk

And if you sold something on eBay without having it in hand, it was your choice to take the risk.

Well that isnt really true as i only orderdd 1 copy that was sent last tuesday and i only recieved it tues this week

Who was trying to make a quick buck exactly? These were for friends on this forum, not ebay.

Then why would you incur any fees and hold them liable?

Play (and by extension the market place sellers) have had that delivery disclaimer there for as long as I've been buying DVDs. I stopped using them altogether about 10 years ago as stuff was arriving 6 days after release that I could pick up in store anywhere.

This is one of the nicest steelbook designs I have seen. It will look great next to the Zavvi re-release of the white steelbook cover-art, with the ship flying upward. It's a nice, smart contrast art-wise.

Until you compare the finished of the steelbooks. High grade steel and finish on the original compared to a lifeless dull image on the new film.

I haven got this yet :( but have the villain steel and found the image to be low res and the amazon version looked lacking with its matte finish. I have nothing against matte but after #1 and the zavvi. Black version this should have been gloss or even spot gloss on the title and maybe on the focus I.e. Ship or khan.

There's no way all of these have been lost in the postal system. These are all gonna turn up in a couple of weeks and people will have multiples.
