Lol. This is based on my observation in the past 6 months. Almost every Steelbook from Taiwan or Asia have sold for less than retail price or going rate, some shockingly low. So I have decided to try my luck in fleebay instead of jumping the gun and pre-ordering. Finances are tight at the moment and have to be mindful with splashing cash.;) The market is overcrowded with Steelbooks and there is plenty of time and ways to snatch a copy at a reasonable price.

@....DJ

The slip is great bud but I am really cutting down now and don't need every release from TW including The Smurfs 2.......:hilarious: :hilarious: :naughty:

Like Mr Igans said " more then likely pick it up on flee bay for cost or less". :p

It's not a must have like FMC....:D

I agree, I think values on most recent Asian steels have plummeted recently. Taiwan releases seem permanently in stock these days, and print runs on many Korean releases seem higher now too. Only a few select Japanese releases (SkyFall, Iron Sky) and the exclusives from Kimchidvd and Blufans seem to be holding their values reasonably well.

I think the new UK exclusives from the likes of ES and Zavvi, and the higher print run quantities of Asian steels have all contributed to the drop-off in their value and desirability. I'm willing to bet that diehard completists of either Korean, Taiwanese or Japanese releases are few and far between now.

Ahem :hilarious:

Like that spine.....what I'm going to do? Have ordered the ES, tempted by Walmart villain case and that ship... :ohno:
If you a fan of slips this is def the one to get man (Blufans too), I'd cancel the rest and get this beauty, but beware once you pop you simply won't be able to stop :D

My mission is simply ignore every other world-wide release and get Taiwan version (Blufans is the exception here, so will be double-dipping) ;)

I am pretty sure DJ is going to spend his Afterlife in Taiwan whilst we find solace in eBay.:hilarious:

Back to topic, I might still grab this down the line if comes with a wicked slip like Hansel and Gretel and I still have a soft spot for Taiwan slips.;)

For me, I don't care about the value whether this turns out to be high or low in the future. This is my fav movie of this year so far.

I plan on double-dipping on this movie but torn between this or wait for Blufans version.

The slip on this one is just eye-candy, can't wait to display this beauty on my 'Made In Taiwan' shelf :movie:

Guess this one will be a top slip. Maybe it will be silver foil, and will have a cut out of the ship in the back ground. Or better yet, full slip, but I doubt that will happen.
