For those that received their 1st shipment scratched because the pin was just taped to the front, here is an example of how a replacement was sent.

I am worried about this set, as I got 2 in hand right now

One I have left unopened, the one I did remove the cling film has a tiny dent with the paint still intact where they put the pin, the dent is so small that its not noticeable until you see it an angle with light overhead.

Would like to know what we can do to get the faulty soundtracked discs swapped out or whether just ask for a refund on both of them :wtf:

From what I've read about the US amaray edition is that the corrected version should have a Stafleet symbol on the spine. Now I'm not sure if that goes for the German edition or even the German steelbook edition but if it doesn't have one I would use the contact info below to obtain corrected discs.
We now also have contact information for Europe/UK sets :
E-mail [email protected] OR call 01992 657 739 (UK)

The steelbook version will already have the new discs inside as that is why this set was delayed.

Was looking at this again last night and noticed that the sticker on the spine hasn't been applied correctly. Does anyone else have this?

Now I have to consider re-applying it myself (which I'll probably screw up), because it will look out of place when next to the other seasons' spines. Assuming those are applied correctly of course...

Also, the clear plastic that coats the sticker looks like it's coming away in the center.

So, not the best release then. :(

I think you need to contact them, you can't honestly be keeping that can you? Your better off ordering the box set instead!

Did you get that small paint chip and ding on the front?

I got a tiny ding on the front, but no paint scratched off. You can hardly see the ding - I got lucky with that I think!

Sounds like if I contact them I won't be given a replacement - just a refund. I'm going to see what Amazon does for those that have already contacted them.

Did you go through normal returns process or you email the customer support?

I sent them an email to customer services. When they said to return it for a refund I told them it will cost about 30gbp to send it back as I wanted it tracked by courier. They then sent me another email stating that it wouldn't be worth it for them to also refund a huge shipping bill so they told me to keep it, they have refunded me 72 euros too.

Well I got this today with a nasty ding and some paint missing. :(

Going to contact Amazon.de and see what they say

At least my spine sticker is OK

Got an e-mail from amazon.de offering me 8 EUR refund.

Anyone else want to share what they got from amazon.de?

How does it cost 30GBP tracked??

It weights about 300grams for the steel, 200 gram packaging, it costs £11 to return it from the UK and that is Royal Mail Airsure tracking.

Yup I got that as well - 'send back for a full refund + a further 8 euro discount - they'll also pay for the cost of sending it back to them'

I stated to them that I would send it by UPS or Parcelforce or Fedex, that's where the costly price comes in.

Is it just me or does 8 EUR seems a bit low? I mean I read here that some get a full refund?

I mean sure, I could accept that I won't get a full refund. But come on.. 8 EUR...

Couldn't they just send me the Pin Box instead? That would be nice.

Just an update .... I had 2 copies ordered, the first one is ok with a very small ding but very unnoticeable unless at a steep angle and as there are no paint chipping (thank god) ... the 2nd copy is being returned to Amazon.de as its got scratches due to the pin attached.

After much emailing, I explained that the cost of sending back the item tracked with signature (royalmail airsure has no signature so be aware of this) was roughly 29 pounds. The customer support has put a note on the RMA to have shipping refunded for 32 euros for me. They had already given me a discount/refund of 5 euros initially.

After all that I've only really paid for 1 set which is in very good condition, haven't watched it yet so I don't know if the soundtracks are faulty or not.

cudzndrips, you were very lucky to get full refund without sending them back ... although I think Amazon.de have been deluged by the number of returns/refunds on this particular product by now.

Got another e-mail from amazon.de

On the other hand, the Steelbook is not available right now, because they check it for errors and work on
it to bring it on again. If you like and you have the patiance you can have an replacement, when it is back on the website.
Or you sent the demaged back and get a full refund.

I don't know if that means they will find some that are not damaged or something like that. I asked them about it and I'm waiting for an answer.

Sounds to me like there still trying to work out the audio anomalies on the discs. So what have you decided? I sure hope mine isn't all screwed up.

If they work it out I'll take a damage free steelbook, just need to get more info from them first.

But I'm guessing the whole batch is damaged in one way or another. I mean it's possible they would make a new batch of steelbook, possible but not likely.

I'll just watch the episodes while they figure it out :movie:
