I actually got a call from amazon.de today. You can't blame their level of customer service at least.

They told me that a special steelbook division within amazon are working on a solution with the manufacturer. I don't know what the solution will be, they told me to wait and expect an e-mail from them.

You noticed anything wrong with the audio tracks yet?

I sent them an email to customer services. When they said to return it for a refund I told them it will cost about 30gbp to send it back as I wanted it tracked by courier. They then sent me another email stating that it wouldn't be worth it for them to also refund a huge shipping bill so they told me to keep it, they have refunded me 72 euros too.

This is incorrect - it only costs £11 to send back in a trackable method.

To members, please do not take advantage of Amazon's return policies.

This type of behavior is not sanctioned by HDN. Future posts about something like this will be deleted.

Note that there are repercussions for customers that do frequent returns or obscure the true cost of sending items back.

To other members, you should note that if amazon finds out, it is not unusual for them to block you and your account from purchasing from them ever again. This happens to customers that have large amounts of returns and complain many, many times about damaged items, price matching, etc. Amazon is not in the business of giving out things to people for free.

Hey I checked online for sending to Germany with full trackable within 2 days and cheapest came back was 27 gbp so that's what I told them. Not my problem that they just told me to dispose of it or keep it,

There is no need to send via the expedited method, as you know. Amazon will accept returns for a larger time frame than two days after receipt to you.

There are fully trackable methods for the cheaper price I quoted above.

I contacted Amazon.de to return mine. They will refund my postage costs of £11.78 at 500gram weight to return.

I sent 1 copy back in its original amazon box from an actual Royalmail post office using Parcelforce Globalpriority, cost was £34 with receipt if ever Amazon.de want proof ...... Airsure does not provide a signature upon delivery and considering how much the set costs, I didn't want to take chance is that something would happen hat would make both Royal Mail & Amazon.de not take responsibility.

Got mine today ........with a ding in the front.

When I initially opened the box it looked good since it was double shrink wrapped, but sure enough it was dented with some paint loss.

I wish Amazon could just ship us the front part of the case since it can be easily swapped out, like the replacement discs which had the audio issue. It would be cheaper and easier for everyone.

Also, I didn't see it mentioned here, or may have missed it, but does everyone else have a glue like dull residue / streak on the spine?
