For those that received their 1st shipment scratched because the pin was just taped to the front, here is an example of how a replacement was sent.

So its been confirmed that the German steelbook release has audio issues?

Just contacted them via email (they responded withing the hour!!!).
I've asked them if the steelbook already includes the corrected discs and this was their reply:


"Yes, the correct Discs are already inside the steelbook."

P.S: the email that was posted here belongs to a Paramount "UK ONLY help centre"
They gave me the German counter parts email which is: [email protected]

So I contacted Amazon about the damage to my steelbook. They replied that they are working on a solution and that they will be sending out an email to everyone in German with the next steps. This is what they said when I asked them if I could return it and re-order a new one once the issue is resolved.

"I do not know if the price for the item will change therefore I suggest until the investigation is done as we maybe can issue a replacement free of charge. Unfortunately we have to wait until the investigation is completed so we know how to proceed further."

So now, I hope we can get replacements. It just sucks that we can't just get replacement front covers as they are really easy to swap out and a cheaper option over cross shipping.

Thats not just a ding. The pin broke through the backing and made an actual hole in the steelbook. Just contacted Amazon because thats just unacceptable. How hard would it have been to put the pin with the flat surface facing down so as not to damage the steel?!?!?!

DAMN! EEK! Thats bad. Sorry to hear/see that. Man, I dread now when mine rolls in, I hope it's not like that.
 
They tried to offer my the 8,00 EUR refund, and i told that that because the pin poked through and scratched the bonus disc that the amount was totally unacceptable for such an expensive item. If the hole had been on the back i would have taken it, but its such a disappointment right there in your face on the front.

Well they offered me no compensation at all and told to return this for a refunds and shipping costs.
 
I got mine today and of course it had the dent. :( After a couple of emails I was only refunded 20% which is roughly 12 euros. Unfortunately they don't have anymore so I couldn't get a replacement. I'll just have to live with it, but I'll be damned if this happens again on season 2, I won't be so forgiving. :twisted:

What... you agreed to 12 euros!? EEK! Should've received a full refund.

Yeah I know, I tried to negotiate with them but they were steadfast in there decision. You win some and you lose some. I mean I could have sent it back for a full refund but because they don't have anymore I would be left empty handed and I really want all the pins. With the regular amarays you don't get the pins I don't think.
 
I got an email this morning telling me that they are working to fix the issue and give out new ones. What it seemed like is that they will re-issue new copies to people who said they the ones they received were damaged.

Yes but sending it back would be no use for them. They can't sell it again and they would lose even more money paying for the return shipping costs, a full refund is the only thing acceptable in my opinion. If it was a regular blu-ray case, I'd accept a partial refund... But these are steelbooks, a collectors item, we buy them because of the steelbook.. If the steelbook is damaged, then what's the point of having it?
