Yes but sending it back would be no use for them. They can't sell it again and they would lose even more money paying for the return shipping costs, a full refund is the only thing acceptable in my opinion. If it was a regular blu-ray case, I'd accept a partial refund... But these are steelbooks, a collectors item, we buy them because of the steelbook.. If the steelbook is damaged, then what's the point of having it?

Yeah but a steelbook is better than no steelbook. I don't want to be left empty handed. I really want this. I'm willing to accept it but only this time. Amazon better not pull that crap on me again is all I can say.

I got my set today.
Luckily for me, my steelbook came with minor damage (one big ding and two small ones + a tiny scratch).

I can live with the damage.
If Amazon would initiate a replacement program, I will gladly send it back.
But with all honesty? I can be satisfied with a partial refund or not at all.

I prefer to have a damaged copy than no copy.
That's my opinion anyway.

I think he meant they offered 12 euros partial refund and you keep the item, or you can send it back for a full refund. I am still debating to send this back or not. If I return this and there be none in stock I be missing series 1 and have all the others and an incomplete set. I rather the whole set or nothing.

Amazon offered me 11 euros or a full refund (and to my understanding, without the need of sending it back).

I told them that this situation is very uncomfortable for me and thus I prefer that he will decide what is best.

In the end Amazon/he has decided to give me an 11 euros.
Am I feeling good with that decision? not quite, but I know for sure that I would have felt very bad with myself if I chose to receive a full refund.

They won't ask you to send it back because they would lose even more money on the return costs. I would demand a full refund. I know a lot of people who received a full refund for this and got to keep the defective item. That's a great compensation in my opinion.

Amazon are only offering partial refunds because they want to try their customers first, see if they can save money on their own mistake of sending the products like that.
 
I've contacted Amazon.de again and asked if they are planning a replacement program:

"I can confirm that we are currently in touch with the manufacturer in this regard. We will contact you by email as soon as we have found a solution for this very unpleasant matter. There is no need for action on your part."

If that's the case, I'm completely satisfied with my partial refund of 11 Euros.

Vulcan, I contacted them and they told me to return this, plain simple, and today I have done, that ding and paintmark missing is just a put off to keep.

For members who got to keep their items, they are lucky or over exaggerated on shipping costs to return an order to keep the item.

Im with you. If they decide to do a replacement plan great, if not ill accept a partial refund but i wont over exaggerate shipping costs in hopes of getting it for free thats what we like to call unethical.

Yup, I got this email too. Already entered my details for a brand new TNG steelbook w/episode guide. They already told me to keep my damaged one for free so might sell that once I receive the replacement.:scat:

so whats the difference between house number and street on the form? because Im at school in an apartment so i also have an apartment number.

Street name would be the name of your street and the number would be the physical address of the street. So if you live in an apartment something like:
Elm St. apt 4 : 5555

5555 Elm St. apt 4
