While i'm happy to buy this and The Empire Strikes Back, the only two I'm interested in. I do feel a missed opportunity here. I watched the original version of Star Wars on a CAV laserdisc set last week and I'd forgotten how good it was both as a film and technically. It really is an eye stopper in its original version. A 4k version of the original theatrical print would have been sweet.

I thought officially that the Red Carpet 10% discount was only supposed to be for in stock items?
Getting the discount on pre-orders was just a limited time deal like the old WELCOME346 code.

It’s been a while since Zavvi released something I HAD to preorder as soon as it goes live. So this secret is still new to me.

The reason this proves RC is a scam is:

Free Shipping? - You can type ACFREE and get free shipping anyway.

Early Access? - Well in theory, RC members get early access because if it sells out, they will be ok because they ordered earlier. But wait, it sold out and now they are making more quantity for general public? Well, theres the whole reason for getting early access gone.

Well you'll have to pry the prints (if they still exist) from George Lucas' cold dead hands after he passes.
Disney doesn't have them.

Yep, feel an idiot for buying into the whole RC thing now. Had my doubts in the beginning like many others, but it seemed a good deal at the time IMO. There's always a free shipping voucher flying around and the 10% off codes never work for me, so we're not getting anything for our money. Zavvi never change.

I think the RC program should be scrapped anyway as it’s unfair to anyone who lives outside the UK.
Either scrap it, or just scrap all orders from outside the UK & have UK only shipping.

Especially after they are available for pre-order from other retailers around the world. Then the cancellations will start.
And as far as eBay re-sellers go? Anybody who orders off an eBay re-seller can cancel their order anytime before delivery.
