Ultra limited print run as we know does not guarantee ultra quick "Sold out" status and animation is not a big seller unless it's one of the Disney or Pixar classics and even those that are no longer available took a fair old time to sell out except for the BIG titles like "Frozen" or "Inside Out" which took much less time.
All 4 animated Marvel steels from seven months back are still around (now priced @GBP 9.99) and these were showing as "Sold out" for ages (2,000 print run).
Even "The Ultimate Avengers Collection" steel from six months back and now priced @GBP 7.99 (cheaper than the Amaray !) is still around ( ? print run)

Really nice-looking steelbook but colour me surprised if this sells out - really sells out - before release.

I agree, animation does generally sell slower. Ultimate Avengers isn't a Zavvi Exclusive, it is part of the series but technically not part of the set. It doesn't have the titles on the spine like the others either. I think there are lots of Ultimate Avengers as you can buy it almost anywhere online; which would explain the pricing.

A lot of adults sadly see cartoon and animation for kids only and can't get their heads around that idea. The Marvel series sell slow because they aren't completely kid friendly so the majority are the minority of adults who buy them.

Star Wars Rebels however is kid friendly and Star Wars appeals to Adults too which opens up the market tenfold. These may sell slow due to Animation/Popularity but are sought after due to Branding and Family nature.

I hate to think what prices they will go for once sold out due to this and the print run :s.

Doctor Strange for example will likely be the slowest seller as not the most popular character, not completely kid friendly and won't appeal to a lot of adults due to animation but once eventually sold out you will find this at an even more stupidly high price because it is rarer as only the people who want it for themselves are buying it.

Unlike some of us most people still buy steelbooks only for the movie inside

Talked myself out of it and canceled my copy. Thinking they may release season 2 & 3 eventually and hurt my wallet in the future.

Judt ordered it, shocked its still available! Animated or not its still Star Wars!

Back to the future trilogy (limited to 1000) is back and has been back a while. I can no longer trust Zavvi's numbers or anything they do actually. These should be sold out in my opinion.
