@Sigill so you are actually telling us that it is ok for a GB host to do that, right?
No I stated that group buy hosts help members here. As these may be extras from that Group buy he has the rights to sell them as anyone else would. There are many factors involved so unless the full story is known nobody should be branded a scalper, especially someone who goes out of the way to help the forum first and foremost. Anyway enough with the negativity, let's get back to the Steelbook itself!

I wish people would and they've been asked to by a mod a few times but certain people just won't leave it alone.

Anyways loved the film and will be trying to get the Blufans release of this when it appears later this year. Which will take my number of copies of this film into the double digits :wow:

One thing I will say and i don't give a sh*t who attacks me but so many are sticking up for aniv because they don't want to risk their chances of getting on his future GBs

It can't be one rule for one and one rule for another like the Ricardo situation. Regardless of what aniv might do for the community

I'll stand by that too

This.

Despite the real reason for Aniv's action, which only he alone can clarify, I find it funny that people with a problem with it, which is understandable, being called "childish" or "not respecting the community".

I also think that if a mod is not holding every nessesary information, he should not take sides or condemn anyone.

I'm out here. Night.

I don't like how the other case was handled, either. But nevertheless that was a different case, because the FA GBs clearly say that it is against the rules to resell the item on ebay. Karel only wants to support the true collectors. There is no general rule, that you are not allowed to purchase steelbooks from any retailer and sell them at the bay.

You don't understand what I mean, actually; I'm not opposed to the group buy at all, just to the holding back of several copies which could've gone to those on the reserve list.
To hold back several copies? Lol he could have held back several dozen one clicks or 100+ one clicks and there is nothing YOU or ANYONE here can do about it! Now buzz offfffff!!!!

Both situations are in my eyes unacceptable. But Ricardo went pretty fast in and explained himself. And @PKAVFC said it perfectly. No one need a example of what will happen, this was unprofessional. Everyone knows the FAC rules. Just send a PM and ban.

With Aniv, I don't care what he did, to degrade people with personal information and photos is unacceptable. This is mobbing and we all read newspapers. This is a serious issue. Not acceptable in this community no matter what you're problem with the guy is. Act grown and talk it out. But no witch hunt around here with anyone.

And Force Awakens was ******* amazing :woot::woot::woot: But I passed on this because I don't like the WWA steel enough to pay premium :stop:

Actually, there is something I can do it about, and I've already done it. I'll be "buzzing off" soon enough simply because I'm not a regular steelbook collector, but in my own time (unless I'm banned for revealing information which most members seem interested to know, which wouldn't bother me, since, again, I'm not a regular steelbook collector). Also, if he held back several dozen or over one hundred, how many people do you think would participate in a group buy from him ever again? Over one hundred held back would mean less than ten people would have received one-clicks. LOL.

Haha yeah well I HOPE @Aniv does hold back more next time and makes a killing on his web store :) Not only that, but I hope he does a "Private GB" like how FAC's Carl is doing; picking and choosing who gets to be the privledged few...and by invite only. Then you really won't have a chance and probably end up buying from him on eBay again lolol

@Cosmoterran did I come peddle my goods to you ;) Or look up who you are and offer a deal outside of eBay? I know you know @JCC and he gave you the info. First of all the GB allocation for HDN was completed. I am selling on ebay since 2005, long before I even joined HDN.

Now here is the thing I can get anything I want and sell wherever I want (excluding Filmarenas which I dont sell unless my copy came damaged and that too at cost). Money speaks, you are just hurt you couldnt get it at cost. Oh well too bad. You can request on eBay to cancel your order and I will gladly cancel it but stop wasting your time posting my private info which is my email etc.

I also dont ban GB requests even when I know they are eBay resellers ;) I dont care what you do with your purchase. I completed my obligation by allocating the # of copies I had for the GB; If I have 300 more one clicks I will burn them or sell them for however much I like and truth of the matter is nobody can do anything about it.

So anymore questions or concerns? A member approached me yesterday and asked me if I had any one clicks left. I said not for HDN GB and said not at the GB price. I also refused to sell it at inflated prices on HDN because that is against my policy. I also have purchased stuff from both eBay and HDN members at eBay prices - eBay fees. I will trade you dollar per dollar if you have some grails I need. How about you give me Melancholia DVD prime @$45 and I give you Star Wars 1 click @$174 so essentially you will owe me $129. Do we have a deal?

Also one last thing; Even before I hosted GB's on here things would sell out and there would be a lot crying. Nothing has changed or will change.

Forgot to mention dont contact me on HDN for discounts off eBay prices. Best Offer options available on eBay quite a bit cheaper on my webstore as well since I may be shrewd but not heartless. If I really like you I will give you one for cost but if I dont I wont respond so you try your luck through secondary channels.

Posting someone's personal information, including their photo with borderline libelous implications attached to it, over a meaningless piece of steel is ridiculous. It leads to internet mobbing and harassment.

The fact is no one knows the exact circumstances involved except Aniv. What happened with Ricardo was wrong, even though it was done with good intentions. You're just **** stirring.

You could have brought your concerns to Aniv directly through PMs with mods added to the conversation to get an explanation before considering going public, so that there'd be a full story for everyone to make a proper judgement call on. The fact is this release has caused a lot of bad behavior from people since the print run + number of editions was announced and you seem pretty gleeful about adding to it.

I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to Star Wars on media, I still have the UK VHS silver release of the original trilogy and the gold release and the Executor Boxset. 2 x sets of original trilogy on DVD 1 x set of the prequels. Both trilogies on Bluray and all the steelbooks. And I got rid of the original fox VHS set to a friend that wanted them.

The thing is there are a number of members here that have been scalping for years without being hassled on the forum. A lot of members regularly purchase spare copies to 'trade' and that isn't considered an issue. It really is a terrible shame that two otherwise respected members of the forum have been castigated for something that is a lot more widespread than many would care to admit.

Aniv, JCC told me at the same time I was going through PayPal payment to you, so his telling me made no difference since I would've discovered myself when I read the "ANIVDAS" PayPal username at checkout. LOL.

JCC wasn't the only one who knew before, either; someone else referenced that the seller I bought from would "have a garage full of them."

Nothing I posted is private because any member of the public can proceed through checkout at your eBay store and see all the information I posted (whether or not they complete a purchase, even).

As I said, I'm more amused than annoyed by this, especially with "ANIVDAS" in all caps showing itself at PayPal checkout. I had a good laugh out loud when I saw that.

I don't normally buy steelbooks and these will be the first rare ones I'll have. I also have no interest in future steelbook purchases outside of Star Wars and Star Trek.

Again, I support rather than oppose the group buys, and I also said that your eBay markup wasn't huge. I just think the community deserved to know about your "secret stash." Sorry, and thanks for the one-click. :)

I held back 289 one clicks. Everyone will still join the GB as they will get what they are paying for at clearly disclosed prices. You however wont be one of them and I dont think you will be banned either but you can watch as others secure it at cost and you miss out.
