just FYI group buy folks, thanks to @cooey for working with me on this, it looks like we've got most of the challenges associated with the oversells solved. we did a recent upgrade of the system to add this functionality.

the expected behavior would be for members to attempt to purchase - when they come back from paypal, we validate that there is still stock left before confirming with paypal to accept your payment.

so if you see "sold out" or the button to buy is not available, the listing will truly be sold out until it's restocked (if there is any stock left).

Thanks had a panic on my 1st run as I cleared PayPal and then said sold out. So worried I was going to be charged for it but not have it. But on my second attempt at the restock it all went through.

Thanks to the team for making the group buy happen.

@apsmith21 I am not sure if I understand correctly.

Group Buy Usual Procedure;

1) we purchase from the group buy Ressource like Usual
2) re-directed to paypal to complete payment, once payment is done we get our usual confirmation that out copy is secured

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Now New Group Buy would be

1) purchase from group buy
2)re-directed to paypal to complete payment
3)re-directed to HDN where we have to click for a 2nd time on the Purchase button (NEW ADDITIONAL STEP) ???

confused !

No Steve, here's how it works.

2) re-directed to paypal to complete payment, once payment is done we get our usual confirmation that out copy is secured OR message received that the listing sold out and you missed out on a copy.

Shiiiiiiit. DL came back, ordered as thought would be better than nowt.... now SL has come back in stock

Ordered the SL, any chance you guys (@cooey , @apsmith21) could cancel my DL to free up for someone else please?

Hey bud, you have to be fast. We only listed 5 copies of the SL for sale in the first stock round and I can tell you we don't have many of those...

At first time I was fast))) Missed...
But! the second time I was even faster :naughty:, my friend!)))
SL secured! Than You and all the best wishes from Ukraine!))

Ok so like usual ? o_0

Previously it would tell you that you got a copy, even if you were #21 out of 20 copies available.

Ah ok same procedure as usual but once out of stock this way you don't get the confirmation email !
So basically fixing that glitch that was telling you, you had a copy even if you purchased over the allocation.

Exactly.

Seems quite simple but actually harder than that to implement. ;)
