There is no proof of this, jungle book and little mermaid highlighted zavvi extending the print run and it failing badly. This could be a case of zavvi showing sold out and cancelling thrm bulk orders to make it available again

Actually kinda glad this sold out so fast... knowing me I'd have pre-ordered it despite strongly preferring the glossy throwback/hybrid North American art over this, and kept said pre-order because this sold out so fast, then would have come to find out how disappointing it really is in-hand after it's already been dispatched (this is Studio Canal after all), and been stuck footing the return shipping to Zavvi or bothering to trade/sell it, neither of which I'm fond of. So it all worked out then.

Interesting, this new 2k print run strategy though. Shame they're focusing on limiting quantity instead of improving quality, but hey, take what you can get I guess.
