In a similar boat mate, when I look at my collection and net spend the last 3 months, I was like

There is a fine line between hobby and addiction and I was leaning more towards the latter. I have two kids and a wife, so with Mother's Day and my daughters birthday coming up, I have had to take a look at what I am spending. Plus the car needing some work, does not help.

I cancelled TWBB, TBITSP, Star Gate, Alien, Alien 3. That's just over £70. That's a lot of cash.

If I do the same in May, it's a similar amount. There are too many releases to keep up!

I figure if I want them in six months, i will end ultra paying about £10 more for the Zavvi ultra limited runs anyway.

Im in the same boat as you. Ive already got a little girl so with mothers day coming up its a bugger. Also its the other halfs birthday next month.

She gets a mothers day and a birthday within the space of two weeks. Lucky for some.

There was no mention of glossy detail in the Zavvi description at any stage

There was a lot of posts in this thread wishing it will be glossy
We don't know yet it could be glossy or the usual matte finish

No one expected The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas to be glossy
So we will just have to wait till next week or following week to find out

It will look fantastic if it is glossy but it was not advertised as glossy

I don't even know if I have this ordered!

I placed it via zavvi.nl, and I've heard mixed reports about shipping to the US. Will be interesting to see if it arrives... if not, I won't be crushed as I have the glossy Best Buy version.

Will be a shame if it's matte in this case... but at least I'll know if I can order via .NL in the future!

Cancelled. It's a good looking Steel, but not great. Funds are limited, so I would rather put that money to some of the other ones popping up. I've been on the fence the whole time. Sounds like there should be a nice lot up for purchase soon for those who missed it.

Last I heard GeekTragedy was taking a break from Steelbooks and HDN. I'm sure he'll be back sooner or later... hopefully!

As for the steel... I can't wait to get my hands on it! I've only ever seen parts of this movie and always meant to get around to picking up the Blu-ray and watching the entire thing, so now's my chance.
