No kidding, that is seriously one of the coolest Star Wars statues I have ever seen! Heck, I'm tempted even though I'm out of the Star Wars statue game.

Hope everything works out with the contact, he's a good guy. He was posting video from the convention today.

I'm doing good. The fires are over by Missoula on the other side of the state. Of course, we are still getting the smoke and it's aggravating my eyes so I look like I'm constantly stoned. And we are stupidly driving to Missoula next weekend for a football game. My friend in Oregon was telling me about ash falling there. This fire season is bad, one of the worst I can remember. Are you still out riding in all the smoke?

Nah, I made that mistake during the massive smoke we got from Canada. My air filter was almost black when I changed it out. Thankfully I changed it early instead of waiting. Be safe driving man. My wife drove to Wall Walla going through the smoke down in Oregon, and she could see the massive fire from the road. She took a bunch if pics, and it reminded me of armageddon. It has cleared up here thankfully. We are now getting rain.

I don't even think I've seen any of the XM TF stuff. But then again I'm not a big TF fan. How does it compare to Prime 1's TF stuff?

I wouldn't really do that, that would be terrible lol.

That's going to be super expensive, but it would be a center piece to end all center pieces. Do you like Marvel or DC more?

I wish I was secretly rich lol. I really wasn't planning on this Joker coming out for another couple of years since they haven't even shipped their Arkham Origins one yet. Its not really that fun when they release statues out of nowhere that you want when they are nearly $1K or more a crack.



I agree its a complete masterpiece. I was kind of expecting to be letdown, but it looks so much better than I ever hoped for. I wonder how much people are going to jack the price up on this when they try to sell it.

I miss the mixed media too, as much as I hate on SS, they are really good at that. But the sculpted robe on Maul also looks really good IMO.



Even over here the moon was bright orange the other night due to the smoke from all of the fires. It was crazy!

Damn! That's pretty amazing how far it traveled. Hopefully it isn't as thick as it was here. Going outside felt like walking into a hot oven with a sticky thermal blanket on. Five minutes outside and I felt gross! Not to mention all the ash falling from the sky like snow.

I have to be honest, I will miss it too. Have even thought of going with Hot Toys despite the smaller scale. Or, maybe just doing a Maul themed room.

Ughh that does sound gross . No it wasn't thick at all here, actually I don't even think it was visible at all, it just somehow changed the color of the moon. I didn't know wtf was going on that night lol. It was bizarre.

Oooooh I vote for a Maul themed room!

I like Luke a bit more after seeing this video, but their Maul is on a whole 'nother level! I'm so glad we finally got to see these, it seemed like an eternity. Now I can't wait to see Grievous!

I never thought of that. Thats a good idea.

But transforming them is so much more fun than staring at a 2 foot statue lol. Sometimes I wonder why I'm collecting statues and not figures lol.

SS actually made a really freaking sweet Yoda vs Dooku dio, the only downside is that its 1:9 scale or something. I'm still pissed they abandoned that line. If XM could make it in quarter scale it would be so awesome, as long as they could nail Dooku's likeness.

I just want an Optimus statue. No clue if I will get one though. I like the Imaginarium designs the best, but I just keep reading horror stories about how terrible their customer service is (people waiting 2 years for replacement parts). Plus they just posted on their official Facebook page a bunch of screen shots of a spat they are having with a customer...seems really unprofessional.

Yeah, I would love if XM made a Dooku vs. Yoda in 1/4 scale. The likeness is scary though, they still haven't quite figured that out.

You can't go wrong with Hot Toys or a Maul themed room! I would love to see a collection of either. I'm having a heck of a time keeping up with 1/6 figures right now, there are so many! Hot Toys shipped 4 at the same time! Of course 4 Hot Toys figures is basically like getting 1 premium format these days, ha.

Are you thinking of getting the XM Luke as well?

Hot Toys is pouring way too much effort into their cosbabies line by the way. Guess they are jumping onto the Funko Pop hype.

I didn't get around to opening my figures. I know, I'm crazy for leaving the greatest SW character of all time in the box still. I'll get around to it eventually. I'm starting to get overrun with figures, I need to figure out a display case ASAP!

Did you build your Lego? My nephew didn't manage to get that FO walker set together and even lost pieces already. That was a waste of a crap ton of money.

I did and its glorious! Its pretty freaking big, a lot bigger than I was expecting. His TIE fighter is a cross between an Interceptor and Vader's TIE with a little bit of Kylo's shuttle from TFA thrown in their too. I think this will go down as my favorite TIE of all time.

That makes sense. I have to admit I am not familiar with Imaginarium at all or any licenses they have. Now I'll more than likely just associate them with that Facebook spat they had with the customer.

Ha! Hopefully none but I'm sure I'll get another. These things are perfect at quenching my craving for a new Star Wars toy need when a new SW movie comes out. Legos are definitely one of my favorite toys of all time, and getting a new Star Wars thing plus getting a Lego set really kills two birds with one stone when I'm trying to recapture something nostalgic. I hope they can at least find the pieces so you can build it for him and glue it together .

I can't wait to see the Grievous, it's going to be epic hopefully. I love XM because they aren't afraid to just go for it and take chances with their poses. Sometimes it doesn't work, but other times it's glorious.

Hot Toys are definitely the best option likeness wise. I've had no complaints so far...other than it's difficult to keep pace.

So did you guys see they're bringing J.J. Abrams back for Episode IX? Not sure how I feel about that. I guess we're going to get Starkiller base 2.0 and a remake of Return of the Jedi. Sigh.

If I could get him for retail thats one thing, but more than likely everyone is going to jack that one way up plus I'm looking at least $300 in shipping. I just can't justify that for only 1:4 scale. Maybe if I find a reasonable US seller down the road.

Well, I guess it could be worse. I'd rather have JJ than Trevorrow, but after seeing VIII maybe I will have wanted Rian Johnson to come back. I think this being good will come down to if they are willing to create a new story, or if they play it safe and just remake RotJ with Stariller Base II.

I'd probably be a quantity over quality person if I wouldn't have bought my first PF. I was fully planning to buy Hot Toys but that damn Batman PF got me hooked on big pieces.

It definitely needs to be displayed out in the open. I just checked the Specfictionshop website and they are now quoting between $380 - $550 shipping on the newest XM pieces from the Con that they just put up for p.o., and they aren't that huge on top of it. I'm definitely not going to be buying an XM piece.

Its a good thing you've got an XM contact because the couple of places in the US that sell them are fully aware of how much they can r*** the wallets of collectors. Hopefully if BBTS carries the DC Dio they will get some kind of shipping discount, if not they will more than likely just jack up the product price to cover it.

Probably be like $800. Those XM Transformers pieces already cost $1400 so after shipping you're looking at $2K per statue. I just can't do that. I still want that Imaginarium Soundwave, but that company is scaring me off. Of course if I ordered through BBTS and had issues, I would just send it back to them right?

Bwhaaahaaaa! Thats too funny! That thing is never coming. I'm starting to wonder with them deciding to bring JJ back for IX instead of just letting Rian continue the saga if that means they think VIII sucks. Maybe thats the real reason we aren't getting a trailer.

How are you keeping up with all of this stuff. Are you still buying HTs too? And what about those plans for a Superman shrine?

Isn't Secret Compass that place that was trying to sell the 1:3 Iron Studios Batman for like $3k or something? I'd steer clear of Immaginarium at all costs, but BBTS should have your back if you decide to do something crazy .

I'm not keeping up. I have a list of 1/6 figures I want and I'm getting behind with Hot Toys. And yeah, I haven't even started on the Superman stuff yet. I'm hoping after the XM Doc Ock and SS Thanos then I can be done with Marvel and start working on Superman. I am trying to keep up with Tweeterhead's line right now though. They have priority over everything else at the moment. I probably won't order that Soundwave just because I don't have the funds right now. Oh well.

Secret Compass was that place. I'm sure they had to pay secondary prices to get it from Brazil so can't really blame them there. But they have XM Magdalena for $450 less than BBTS. The XM 1/6 Marvel statues are also $100 cheaper on there compared to BBTS. I'm still annoyed that Iron Studios products weren't available in the U.S. when that Doomsday-Superman statue came out. I would have bought it for a reasonable price.

That HT Harley gets my vote for the worst modern day Hot Toys figure. I don't know what they were thinking there. Although I haven't seen any good pictures of their recent Wonder Woman either. I'm glad they've stuck with sculpted hair on Rey and Jyn. Hey if they're still releasing figures from Suicide Squad then maybe Cassian and Krennic have a shot!

Yeah, I really am insane with all these collectibles I want. I'm sure there are much better things I could spend my money on! Oh well, there are much worse things too. At least I'm not on drugs or at the bar all the time.

I don't know who Magdalena is either. I just know it was a license with worldwide availability and BBTS is charging $1450 while SC is charging $1000. Those XM 1/6 Marvel pieces are weird, I don't know what the inspiration was for those. They look like they were based off of a cartoon. The Red Skull looks terrible. Yeah, the Superman on that dio was a bit of a fail. He had a hulk face.

Krennic would put you over the edge before Cassian? I really want a Cassian! Of course I just want Baze to actually get released.
