SS is just used to the collector always bending over for whatever SS does, and I've seen it for so long, but there really has been a shift, almost universally, finally on the forums. Even the people who buy everything are saying nope. I think $500 is really the limit a lot of the collectors are just not willing to exceed, at least not for what they are getting. And now they have to beg and plead with SS on the forums just to get the lightup features added to the SW PFs.

That was the appeal of SS from the start. High-end figures with excellent detail, tailored, etc. and even though the QC wasn't always that great, they had excellent customer service and returns. All for a good price. Some stuff has stayed the same, some has gotten much worse, and now they want more cash for it. Nope!

Why couldn't they have gotten on this SW roll of theirs while their prices were still low and QC was still high. So many figures they didn't make, and now they are just recreating the super popular ones. No sign of Mace, Lando, Qui-Gon or Ewan Obi-Wan anywhere. They probably won't do a 1:4 Yoda by himself either. Its scary because PF prices have now gotten to where I only half jokingly predicted they'd be 2 years ago. If they finally get to these characters a couple years from now what will they cost, $800? $900?

It'll probably stay this price for a while, then jump by a couple hundred dollars in a few years. Someone will come along though, and start making these as well or better than Sideshow with far better prices. SS did it to Attakus, so it's just a matter of time.

I like quite a lot of those Attakus pieces. Their Grievous was really awesome, and they had an AOTC Padme in that outfit I really like :D.

Yeah, same here. Except they were charging almost double what SS did at the time. I'm sure another company will come in eventually that will knock SS out.

I guess I never really looked into their original pricing. Some of their original 1/5 scale stuff still sells for quite a lot on eBay.

After seeing how awesome Iron Studio's 1:10 Palps turned out, that would be one company I'd really love to see get a 1:4 SW license. Palpatine is one character I really want in 1:4 scale, but I won't be paying the $1400+ the PF goes for on eBay.

Well, if IR does make a 1/4 Palps, it probably will cost $1400+, LOL! I hope not, but damn just look at their 1:10 stuff at BBTS. I understand the whole import thing, but damn it's crazy!

TBH, I may not get anything this year except one XM piece if it makes it out in time. Just too focused on the bike. Not to mention the service costs on this thing. I have a 7500 mile service coming up that's $350, plus I just got new tires for them to install which was $200 (half price sale) and the labor to install the tires is $155. Back in the day, that would have been 2-3 statues, LOL!

Well I was hoping IR would get a US distribution license, but you're right if they don't that thing would be like $1400+. You can actually find most of their 1:10 SW stuff on eBay for like $100 less than what BBTS charges, even with shipping from Brasil. BBTS is marking them up almost twice as much as MSRP.

Is it sad when we look at prices of stuff, and pause to think how many statues we could get instead?. I know I do that all the time.

I hope you put your old tires to good use before you install the new ones, and make a burnout video :D.

LOL! I did one the other day, and after about 10 seconds my bike almost came out from under me. I need to get better at it. Maybe once the new tires wear I'll do another and video it this time.

Yeah, it seems like everything is always, $300-$500 a pop. I was just talking about that with my buddy I rode with to St. Helens the other day. Stuff ain't cheap!

I forgot about that. I hope they do too along with XM. It just needs to happen.

You hear that people, ugh I mean the Internet, is still making the R1 reshoots a bigger deal than it is? FFS! You gotta love the Internet man. I'm sure Disney is loving all the free publicity too.

I've heard a lot of people complaining about the reshoots saying the movie must be complete ****. I'm sure this stuff is just minor stuff that was scheduled all along anyways. Although if it is something major I really hope they are putting more Vader in it :D. I don't think I could ever get enough Vader. They should do a Vader trilogy that takes place before Ep. IV. It could take place during the same time as the Obi-Wan trilogy they should make.

I do think they could have done a better job on the early marketing of R1 though. I've seen a lot of people online, that aren't hardcore SW fans, think that R1 is Episode VIII. If thats not bad enough I heard there were a couple of news anchors out there also referring to it as Ep. VIII.

That is hilarious! I had a guy that I see at the gym all the time come up to me and say the same thing, that he heard EPVIII is coming out in December. When I tried to tell him it was Rogue 1, he said, "Nuh-uh! It's EPVIII. I heard it on the news." I'm just like, "MF'er are you for real? You must be out your damn mind!" Question me about when a SW movie is coming out. What's this world coming to. Haha!

Well, the thing is, they had scheduled reshoots in the first place. Not sure what "source" said the movie was in trouble, but of course you got the damn Internet who will believe anything from any anonymous source. When people who work on the movie come out and debunk it though, they say, "damage control" and of course don't believe it. Bunch of knuckleheads! I'm just sitting here reading these peoples comments about how the movie is in so much trouble and the sources of course are always anonymous. Maybe I should anonymously say that Jar Jar is going to be in it to watch the OT worshiping fanboys lose their minds! LOL!

BTW, forgot to mention, went up to St Helens on Wednesday, again. Was even better this time:

These are your most EPIC shots yet!!! So freaking awesome!

I also watched the video you uploaded a little while ago. That ride looked absolutely phenomenal. So how long was this ride from your house until you got there?

LMAO! He obviously had no idea who he was dealing with. Its still messed up that these people delivering the SW news on the news have no idea wtf they are talking about either. But this is one of the reasons why I thought Disney should have held off until after the ST was finished before starting the spinoffs. I just knew this would confuse the **** out of the casual SW fan.

You should tell them Jar Jar will be the main character of the next movie ;).

I would watch that! Seriously!

Yeah, I'm just like, dude! Are you serious right now? LOL! I'm just glad that they didn't do away with the "episode" what ever thing. Imagine how confused the general public would be then.

Thanks man. From my house to the mountain takes about an hour and half if you go the speed limit. We probably shave a good 15-20 mins off of that though.FaLLenAEnGeL is a far better rider than I am though, so I have to push it a little harder. Plus, I don't do heights very well, so when some of those views or bridges come around, it kinda messes with my mind a bit. Those are the times you'll see me slow a little extra in the turns, just in case.

Glad you like the shots man. I agree. It's from FaLLen's camera. The clouds really make everything pop!

I was so worried they were going to get rid of the episode thing. From the first VII trailer forward there was no sign that they were going to use it, they even removed the episode part from the blu's packaging when they just re-released them last year. I was so relieved when I saw it in the VII opening crawl. If they would have removed that it would have really been a nightmare for the casual fan, trying to differentiate the episodes from the spinoffs.

I'm sure you'll gain a lot more confidence with time. I would think even in a car I'd still be taking it easy in some of those turns that high up.

Yeah man. You hit that guard rail there's no guarantee it'll keep you from going over the edge. In the vid, you can see us passing a Porsche on the left, and he was pushing it too, but once we got up high, he was braking before those corners hard! We went up again yesterday to take a guy I met at the MSF course whos tour of duty is ending here, and I was going the same thing. Breaking before the corners hard! It's a blast most of the time, but there are times it is scary AF!

I remember thinking it'd be stupid of Disney to do that. Especially since it is a continuation of the Saga.

I saw you guys zooming past that Porsche lol.

I read on SSF that MYC is going to make a custom more accurate cloak for the new Maul PF. Now I'm starting to think about this piece again :banghead:

It would have to be bang on man. Seriously! After you mention how inaccurate the last one was, I looked up the cloak from the movie, and that's some serious tailoring. I hope they can do it.

I agree. But it shouldn't be that hard. Hasbro has cranked out some great looking Maul cloaks on their 12" figures, if they can do it a customizer definitely should be able to too. The last MYC one though, I swear he just made a generic black cloak. Like I said before, the quality looked nice though. Hope he can bring that quality to a screen accurate version.

You know, you are right. I still have that figure in a box somewhere, but I did have one opened way back in the day, and the cloak on that was pretty spot on. I'm sure he can do it. I can't wait to see his Starkiller 1/4 statue.

Is he still making it? I admit I haven't been following his customs. If he makes him are you going to get him? I know you were talking about selling off your non-canon stuff, but I know how much you love the TFU games and the character, so I'd figure that would be the centerpiece of your collection. I've gotta play those games again. I was fortunate to score the steelbook edition of the first one from Gamestop last year.

Edit: So apparently the new Darth Maul PF is only 6 lbs.??? I'm wondering if thats a misprint or if they are making another statue out of plastic instead of poly. If they reveal its plastic at $520, there is going to be a new form of outrage at SS in the forums.
