You definitely gotta get and keep what you like. Like I said, even if a story or character isn't in the official canon right now, that does not make it/them irrelevant or non-enjoyable. A character like Talon is definitely awesome and the PF looks incredible. If you let her go you might come to regret it sooner than you would think and then you'd have to come up with a lot more money to get her back from the aftermarket than you did when you first bought her. Same with some of the others you might be looking to sell. I'm sticking to the movie canon characters just because to me they are the most iconic and I don't nearly have a collection large enough yet to where I'd want to go and search out the kind of obscure characters, or different versions of the main characters. Thats why I decided to get rid of my Mythos pieces. Well, that and the subpar paintjobs LOL! And I want to streamline my SW stuff to quarter scale only. I would never completely rule out getting a character like Talon but its going to be quite awhile before I go that deep into the SW lore. I'd highly encourage you to keep everything, or at least take enough time to make sure you want to sell the thing you're about to sell.

Edit: I posted a pic from HT that I thought was the First Order 1:6 Stormtrooper, but it was just the new Stormtrooper costume displayed at the HT display at Ani-Com lol.

True, while it certainly doesn't make it less enjoyable, it does make me think how much of these things should I have in my collection especially with new, canon, pieces coming. Take the McQ pieces. Seeing the WIP's I really want to get'em, but again, I'll be using space for "concept art" pieces when it could be used for canon pieces. I buy what I love, but that is the problem, I love it all, LOL! At some point, a decision needs to be made as there is only so much space I have. I'm not nearly there yet, but think about it nevertheless.

Anyway, if I do sell, I'd always check with friends first, and friends always get first crack at it for what I paid.

Thats true, you can only display so much stuff. And when you love it all it makes it so hard to choose what to keep. But with the amount of SW characters SS still hasn't done yet in PF form I just wonder how many new ones we'll be getting from the new Trilogy and spinoffs. I'm still shocked they haven't done more of the popular Jedi from the prequels. With SS coming out with their McQ line that makes me think they are now going to devote even less focus on SW PFs. But now you've also got XM coming into the quarter scale game, but they will all be fully sculpted and we still have no idea on prices yet. And I think they will start out with most of the characters SS has already done. I think the good news is you will probably have awhile before you'll have to start worrying about space. I did read that Cody is supposed to start shipping within 3 to 5 weeks though. 2 freaking years after you ordered it dude LOL. I hope they put Jango up for order this year. If he fits in a Besta cube I will be ordering him. If they ever get to TFA stuff they'll probably be shipping around 2025 LOL!

That would be so awesome of you to offer stuff up to your friends first. But I still say, keep Talon at all costs!!! LOL. She is way too awesome of a piece to let go of, and she is worth a freaking ton.

I read that about Cody too. I remember when notifications were for 1-2 weeks out, LOL! I'll believe it when I see it. As for Talon, I'd sell it to a friend at my cost, but if they were going to sell it at some point, it'd be back to me for the same price.

I'm wondering if they sent a notice for Cody this far in advance out just to leave themselves enough time to send another one that says there is going to be another delay LOL. I seriously can't figure out why it took so long with Cody, it doesn't look that complicated of a piece. I think they are really giving their DC license top priority over everything at the factory right now. Man whoever gets that Talon at retail is going to be a freaking steal. I don't think they'd ever sell it after a deal like that though LOL!

I don't doubt it! The next email from SS will be saying Cody has been delayed 2-3 weeks. Watch!

HAHA! I knew it! Although, that may just be for Flexers.

Thats true. I wish both flexers and non-flexers would all at least be able to ship in the same month. When ordering directly through them its a gamble if you'll have to wait longer or not if SS chooses to fulfill the flex or non-flex first, and it always seems random.

But anyways, I hope this piece ships soon as I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out. The Phase II Cody helmet is probably my favorite looking helmet of all of the clones.

Alot of Commanders and regular clones with unique helmets they could do. You'd think they'd be pumping these out. Gree, Bacara, Fox, Wolffe, Bly not to mention all the unique clones like Tup, Fives & Echo, Waxer & Boil.

Hell, by the time Cody ships, they may be shipping the new Boba too! LMAO!

I really like the Wolffe and Bacara designs as well.

If this doesn't ship until Boba does, that will be so ****ed up. But nothing would surprise me. Savage went up for p.o. 7 months after Cody and still shipped 6 months sooner than this one is currently supposed to. I just can't figure out what is so complicated with this piece that it needed so many delays. It has a tiny ES on top of it.

I think they just had other things they wanted to work on and keep putting this on the back burner.

BTW, am I the only one getting sick of the whole "practical effects" push for TFA?

You definitely aren't the only one. They are really trying to go above and beyond to please the "OT only" crowd. I just watched a video yesterday with Simon Pegg in it and he was saying they haven't made a good SW movie in 30 years :meh:. I get irritated when I hear this over and over by supposed fans who love to turn and bash GL all over the place. I really don't care how the effects are done in the movie just as long as the movie is good. I really don't need to hear them constantly boasting about how they are doing practical effects any more than if I was hearing how they were boasting about using CGI. I guess I'm hoping for a nice blend of both practical and CGI effects similar to how they did Episode 1. They should be able to please all the fan bases that way as far as effects go.

What the hell does Simon Pegg know. He hasn't made a good movie, ever! Ok, I liked Shaun of the Dead, but it sure ain't Star Wars or anything as high profile as that. I read he wrote the next Star Trek movie, so he sure as hell better hope the net is as kind to him as he has been to fans of the PT.

Yeah, the whole "practical effects" thing has gotten old. One PT movie had more "practical effects" in it than the entire OT, but you sure as hell didn't hear LF going on and on about it.

LMAO! I did like Hot Fuzz but other than that I don't think I've seen that many Simon Pegg movies to be honest. Or if I did I don't remember them lol.

I get so pissed off when I read some of the comments whenever people are arguing about the PT or PT fans. Its like 1 person makes a pro-PT comment and then someone always comes out and says something like "the rest of everyone else only likes the OT" or "nobody else likes the prequels either", when its so clear that so many fans do like the prequels but so many fans try to make it look like nobody likes them. I just don't get how someone liking the prequels is somehow damaging their love of the OT or something so they feel the need that they have to cast out anyone who does.

It seems so many people have forgotten just how many practical effects were in the PT, or maybe they just never knew they were practical in the first place. They made so many freaking models for those movies.

They rather focus on the whole "too much CGI" thing and avoid the fact about the practical effects. And, you're right. The bashers totally get their undies in a wad when others make positive comments regarding the PT. They can't handle it for some reason. I guess that is why I'm the way I am now. I have zero tolerance for it after dealing with those types on multiple forums who troll and bash others who like the PT for so many years. It's nice to see that there are so many on FB who come and say positive things about it even more than the negative nancys. I tell you what I do love though is the same people who have bashed the PT for so many years are now crying foul when Rebels gets bashed. Sometimes Karma is a great thing, but I'm glad people like the show.

I so wish I could be in front of Pegg, nose to nose, looking right into his eyes and say, "I'm a PT fan. Go ahead, say some thing negative about it. I dare you!"

LMAO! That would be awesome!

Can't say I blame you for being the way you are now, because I'm the pretty much the exact same way because of all the PT/GL bashers. I really wouldn't mind if these people didn't like the movies or whatever because I think everyone is entitled to like or not like whatever, but its the way they get their jabs in at the PT fans that really gets me. Like with the Simon Pegg thing, the interviewer was just asking what he could tell us about the new SW movie, and then he had to go and make the comment "We have been waiting 33 years for a good SW film". He had to go and include everyone, and not think about the fans that actually do like the prequels. If he would have said "I have been waiting 33 years" I wouldn't have cared nearly as much, although I still think its pretty poor taste to bash a large part of the saga from a company that he is now involved with, and wanted to get involved with. Its as bad as that Garry Whitta thing, but thankfully he is now gone.

Yeah, it is one thing to not like it, but the constant bashing along with bashing the fans is crossing the line. I guess you can say I've declared war on those types. I sure as hell don't go into the Rebels threads and bash it. No! I know there are fans who like it, so good for them. And, you're right! Pegg uses the same "we" that all bashers use to try and give their opinion some weight. I hope hope hope Pegg comes to one of the conventions up here. While I absolutely despise driving in Seattle, I will make the trip just so I can throw a giant slurpee in his face. Then I wanna see that punk try and run his mouth. Damn I'm fired up! Will probably have to go run the track before bed, LOL!

LMAO! I know exactly what you mean. I've been reading SW message boards on top of it over the last couple of days, which I rarely ever do, and its just been adding to my nerd outrage that was started by Pegg. Although luckily I have read that some fans are just as upset as I am, and I also heard a reaction very similar to mine about Pegg's statement in a SW podcast. I'm glad there are others who are voicing their outrage over his remarks. But there are still lots of people who are making the same kind of "we" or "the rest of us" statements about their distaste of the prequels.

Yeah, I've learned to stay of those type of message boards. Too many faceless spoons in a big pot of crap. It's cool to see so many PT supporters on FB though. Far more than there are bashers. I'm going to see if I can post a message on Pegg's FB page, and if so would encourage others who are upset with him to do so as well.

Today as a sudden flip, I've actually seen a bunch of people against Pegg's statements in the boards. I guess it all comes down to which boards you go on and which sections, or specific threads. But anyways someone made a good point about the over emphasis it seems there is with the cast and crew really stating that they are putting a lot of care and love going into this new movie. Does that mean they are saying that there wasn't a lot of care and love put into the prequels? Or the entire saga for that matter? I have to admit I could be reading too much into this because I'm so used to so many people crapping on the prequel fans, but it almost feels like they are going out of their way to make sure they are really appealing to the OT only fan base without acknowledging that any care was put into the PT. I have never really heard Kathleen Kennedy or JJ really embrace the saga as a whole. I haven't heard them specifically bash the prequels, but I just don't hear them offering up any acknowledgement for the PT fans, or the whole saga fans. And there was that quote where JJ was joking about putting the bones of Jar Jar in the desert :cautious:. Since this is Ep VII I do think this movie should share more DNA with the OT than the PT, but it concerns me that they could just completely shun the PT fan base from this point forward just by choosing to not comment about it.
