Yeah, even my mom said that it just didn't feel like the Donner films. I told her, "They aren't supposed to." Just like Batman, there are plenty of versions out there for everyone when it comes to Supes. Even if this is the version of Bats and Supes for the next few years, there are plenty of older movies to keep fans happy while others who enjoy the current version enjoy their time.

I have 3 of them. One for the gym, one for whenever, and one for riding. I'm taking Josh's idea though of the Twi' lek girl on a motorcycle t-shirt though. Currently working on the design with my oldest daughter.

Yeah, no way SS could do that kind of work on a production figure. I can't wait to see what they do with the SW line. Congrats man.

Same, I don't know if I'd ever say a statue is worth the grand I've paid for it, but if it is something I really want, and the quality is there, I'm all over it!

Crossing my fingers and toes! LOL!

Like I said, I'm not going off anything the Net has to say about it. If it were you guys, then ok, but anyone else, nope!

I have to many expensive hobbies as it is. Plus, nothing has influenced my life or has my heart like Star Wars does. But, there is really some amazing stuff out there from movies I really like.

WORD! LOL! Go see it!

The SS 1/4 Cody is nice. Not asking price nice, but nice nonetheless. One of my favorite troopers so I had to have it.

LOL! That's awesome! I have SW pj's too. My entire wardrobe is SW related.

I don't see why. Donner's Superman movies are what a majority of us grew up with. Still, though, my favorite version is the current one. I even teared up during MOS which I've never done before on any Superman movie. My favorite Bats is the Keaton version, but I also really like what Nolan did with the character.

I liked Superman Returns better than any of the Donner movies. That plane/ shuttle scene was just epic! Oh and FWIW, two of my kids love Batman Forever.

April 1st for digital, and April 5th for BD.

See, I feel different. MOS seemed to be a what if this actually happened and these "super" beings actually fought in a metropolitan area the destruction would be enormous. I'm glad that Snyder didn't follow the formulas from the Donner movies and Superman Returns. That said, my only knowledge of these characters is from the movies and cartoons. I'm not a hardcore comic fan, so take my opinion of it with a grain of salt, LOL! I love what they did with MOS from story to visuals and everything in between.

A Twi'lek on a motorcycle huh? I'm intrigued. :p

I'll admit I'm being a total comic book fan boy when it comes to Superman and want the version I read on the screen. Wonder Woman is the only one of the three characters I've ever seen kill in the comics and she appears to be the only one who hasn't in Snyder's version, ha. I don't know how to describe what I want in the movies, but there's something about how Alex Ross approaches these characters and his appreciation for their history that I would love to see on screen. Even the 90s Superman stuff is enjoyable. Snyder's movies and the new 52 both feel like they've thrown out decades of character development and I guess I'm not enjoying the change. I hope you liked the movie though.

So what version of TFA are you buying? Seems like there's a lot of them out there, I'm thinking the BB8 cover from WalMart. I guess it doesn't really matter since I'll just buy the trilogy box set in a few years, ha ha.

Well I'll give you an opinion on B&R you won't find online anywhere, I think its 2 hours of pretty much nonstop fun. There is some heavy camp and even cringe worthy scenes in it, but overall its extremely fun, it moves much faster than a Nolan or Snyder movie, and there is lots of visual eye candy in it. I like it, I understand why others hate it, but I think the hate is a bit extreme.

The airplane scene from Superman Retuns is one of my favorites in all of the Superman movies. That was so freaking amazing.

Snyder definitely has an obsession with the video game type of visuals. This worked in 300 for me kind of, but thats about it. I think there is good in MOS, I actually liked most of the actors, but as a whole it just wasn't for me.

Yup, TFA comes out on blu April 5th. :D

I saw that earlier today, I freaking love those!

You just had a whole bunch of posts to catch up on!

Hell yeah! I can't wait to see the Twi'lek chick with the titties! lol.

I think the very fact that BvS has Batman in it means I'm sure I'll be liking it at least a little bit :).

I like what Nolan did with Batman as well for the most part, Begins is my favorite one of his. I'm just not a fan of how snobby the Nolan fans usually are online. They are really pompous. Oh, and 2 of your kids are really awesome for loving Batman Forever! You need to work on the third one though LMAO!

I got the TFA Steelbook preordered from Best Buy :D.

I think I would have liked to have seen Metropolis a bit more of a place of fantasy, I think having Nolan producing MOS really grounded stuff a bit too much for my taste. But too each their own, I'm glad you have a Superman movie you love all the way through. I think BvS is going to feel and look a bit less grounded.

Did you guys see SS put up the Armored Batman PF from BvS up for Preorder? That literally came out of nowhere. Now why the hell can they get all of their **** together for DC, but when there was a brand new Star Wars movie coming out they were just sitting on their ass?

I'm actually surprised I haven't seen Batman and Robin because I've watched a lot of Arnold movies, some that were pretty bad (Hercules in New York anybody?). One of these days I'll check it out!

That's pretty much how I felt about MoS. I actually really liked Cavill and all of the flashback scenes to a younger Clark were well done, but the rest of it didn't do anything for me. I really hated that Lois discovered his secret identity before she had even met him! Two of my friends saw BvS last night and neither were enthusiastic about it. One said it was "all over the place and poorly directed" and the other compared it to braiding hair: he said "the process is interesting and the end product is cool, but watching someone set up the strands is just a bit disjointed and choppy."

I can't believe SS put up a movie PF for pre-order at the time the movie came out, that is unheard of! I'm used to them casually announcing a statue is in development when a movie comes out then just letting it disappear from existence months later. I'm surprised they are following through with the Kylo Ren. Seriously another company with U.S. distribution rights needs the 1/4 SW license!

Well, you know, because Disney! LOL! That thing is awesome. Looks like he's about the really F up that apple! Plus, the eyes light up!

Yeah Batman Begins is my favorite of the 3 Nolan ones. Although, that chase scene from the bank in Rises that ends with Bats flying the Batwing is one of my most favorite movie scenes ever.

My youngest, yeah, she doesn't care much for any of the Batman movies. She's more of a horror girl. The other 2 grew up with Forever & B&R, so it's more nostalgic.

When ROTS same out, they had the 1/4 General Grievous up for PO. That's the last time I remember them doing anything like that.

LOL! I ended up missing it last night, but we are going today at 2pm. My middle child, the huge Batman fan, saw it though, and she sent me this text, "The movie was super cool! No idea what the bad reviews are for." She's about as hardcore as it gets when it comes to Batman, and she is critical of most movies, so if she likes it, I know I will. 3 hours to go!

Batman and Robin is alot of fun! I can't stand Chris O'Donnell, and it was still fun. Arnold with his one liners = priceless!

Not sure which version of TFA I'm getting. My supplier is getting me this in hand early next week, so I assume it is the general one.

Yeah, it's Josh's idea, LOL! I can't wait to get it printed on a t-shirt.

Okay this is awesome

That looks good! Kinda the shot at the start of the film where he stops the laser blast mid air.

If you like Ahnuld at all you'll love him in B&R, its non-stop fun and one liners. Its obviously not serious so if you go into it hoping for something really dark and edgy you'll be disappointed.

Yeah her discovering that he was Superman so quickly was kind of a bummer. But I loved Amy Adams as Lois, that could possibly be because I love Amy Adams! LOL. I think she's super cute. The all over the place is the most common complaint I've seen about BvS, but it seems at least parts of it are enjoyable.

I loved the first fight between Bane and Batman from TDKR, and I loved the way Anne Hathaway looked in her CW outfit from that movie :p. Ledger's Joker was my favorite thing out of TDK, and I loved pretty much everything out of Batman Begins.

I used to really be into horror stuff when I was really young. Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th, etc. but I just outgrew it I guess. I thankfully never outgrew SW or superhero stuff.

Awesome news! I can't wait to hear what you think about it!

Arnold was the king of the one liners! I always liked when he punched animals in the Conan movies, ha ha.

You'll have to let us know how the Blu-ray looks when you get it...and how many times you watch it in one week!

General Grievous was before my Sideshow collecting began. I was aware of Sideshow back when the early Star Wars stuff was coming out, but mainly collected action figures back then. It wasn't until they got the DC license that I started buying from them.

That Kylo pose is similar to the beginning of the movie. I really feel they nailed this one...although I'm not quite sure what's up with that red button on the base. I've decided the only thing bothering me about the Sandtrooper is that it looks like he skipped leg day one too many times!

I would definitely not expect B&R to be serious. I remember my brothers watching it when I was younger so I've seen bits and pieces. Did you see the Adam West PF they previewed? It looks pretty good. Looked like there was a Catwoman behind him too.

Joker and Harvey Dent were easily the best part of TDK. I actually thought TDKR was a pretty well done movie, but it doesn't seem to get the same love as the first two.

Amy Adams is a cutie...and those pants she wears in Night at the Museum. Yowza.

Mmm.. Amy Adams . LOL.

I was going to say the Sandies legs looked really skinny LOL.

The main problem I have with TDKR is its a nearly 3 hour movie and it's only got Batman in it for like 20 minutes.

I saw the '66 Batman and Catwoman and they look pretty sweet. I always liked Julie Newmar Catwoman. Speaking of Catwoman, I just got my Tweeterhead Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman about 10 minutes ago but won't have a chance to open her till later. I should have pics up in my thread later tonight.

Ok, it is awesome! Just awesome! I won't drop any spoilers, or what I think are spoilers. Keep in mind that what I may think is "known" may differ from what you do, but if you've read a few reviews, I don't think anything I can put will be any more of a spoiler; so, with that said. The beginning, everything leading up to the fight, and especially the end battle were awesome! The fight itself isn't what I thought it would be, but my fault for expecting it to be more than it was. Still good though with a couple holy S moments! The "all over the place" comments you read about, I can see it, but it's no different than MOS or the Nolan Batman films TBH. They did their best showing past events, and things that weighed heavy on both characters minds, and they did it well IMO through images and scenes. Not to mention the similarities that both Bats and Supes shared. They did a good job showing the audience that. Wonder Womans entrance was f'ing spectacular! I had a hard time seeing Gal as WW, but God Damn! She was just awesome. Don't confuse this with Diana's entrance which is early in the film. When WW appears, in WW attire, F yeah! The special FX is just amazing of course. When the movie gets into the meat of the battle, it's nothing short of spectacular. Lex Luthor, not what I thought it would be. Better actually. We've seen Lex bad. A bad guy. Somewhat charming. A "genius." Eisenbergs Luthor is pure evil, and Eisenberg does an excellent job of bringing that across. Maniacal I would call it. There are cameos, but I won't say from who or how you see them. The best way I can describe this movie is comparing it to a puzzle. You start with the corner and outer pieces and you work your way in filling the empty space until the puzzle is complete. This movie is more thriller and drama with a touch of horror than superhero movie. It's PG13 for a reason, and I mean a HARD PG13! A few parents had to take their 5-8 year olds out due to the movie getting really dark and graphic. Ok, I'll stop here. Now, GO SEE IT SO WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT!

And, Josh, if you love Amy Adams, it'll be worth it to see it just to "see" her. ;)

Arnold was the king of the one liners! I always liked when he punched animals in the Conan movies, ha ha.

I feel like they nailed Kylo too. The red things on the base to me seem Starkiller Base inspired since the planet had that big red eye. Other than that, the base is kinda boring, but the figure itself looks great! The saber looks really good too! The Sandie looks top heavy because of the backpack. Gives it a light bulb look, much like a guy who doesn't work his legs, only upper body. IMO, the legs seem proportionate since most men are top heavy much in the same way most women are bottom heavy. Some are a little, and some are alot. Sandie seems ok to me.

I'll probably watch it about 100 times before I put anything else in the PS3, LOL!

Mmm.. Amy Adams . LOL.

Nice! Can't wait to see it man. Between you and Adam getting new stuff, I'm kinda feeling left out, LOL!

And, Josh, if you love Amy Adams, it'll be worth it to see it just to "see" her. ;)

Nice! Can't wait to see it man. Between you and Adam getting new stuff, I'm kinda feeling left out, LOL!

Okay, your review definitely got me more excited to see it. I hear the theaters have been exploding with applause during WW's entrance. I'm looking forward to that. There is an R rated edition of this coming out on Blu, so I know this movie is pretty hardcore as it is at PG-13.

Oh and I totally heard about the Amy part. I'm already giddy for it :D

I heard on the forum apparently there will be three of those red dot things around Kylo's base when its done. Its supposed to symbolize his 3 lightsaber blades? At leasts thats what somebody said that Igo said lol.

Its awesome getting other stuff, but I totally have SW PF withdrawals though. I haven't gotten one of those since last June.

LMAO! Really? I don't get that at all! The should have just left on big red eye on the front and called it a day.

Yeah, don't expect this to be like the Marvel movies where it's an obvious superhero movie. Like I said, it is more thriller than anything. Some drama, and a touch of horror, just with superheros. People get F'd up in this movie!

It doesn't make sense to me either, but neither does even 1 red eye LOL! I've come to the realization its Sideshow, the laws of the universe do no apply lol.

Excellent!

I posted pics up of Pfeiffer in my thread if you haven't seen them yet.

Cool! On my way to check'em out!

Well, with one red eye it would literally be a STARKILLER BASE! LOL!

It's all about that Base! Ok, I'm done, LOL!

That ****ing song! Lmao!

Well I just saw BvS. I liked it a hell of a lot more than I thought I would. Batfleck is a straight up beast! Wow, was he awesome! I thought the movie was quite a bit better than MOS, but also after seeing this it somehow made me like MOS more than I did before. Supes was in it more than I thought he'd be. For some reason I don't know why I thought this movie was going to be like 65% Batman but that wasn't the case at all. I enjoyed Cavill as Supes more this time around. I also loved that Lois was in this a ton. I was even surprised I didn't hate Eisenberg as Lex. I actually found him completely tolerable, considering I absolutely hated what I'd seen from him in the trailers. I still like Gene Hackman way better though. I guess the only real negative for me was once Doomsday made his entrance the pace of the movie got pretty erratic for 25 minutes or so. The movie was long, but it still didn't feel that long. I wish they would have taken a little more time with that part though. At the end of the day I really don't see what all the complaining from the critics was all about. It was blown way out of proportion. I will be buying this on Blu day 1.

Yeah, that was one pissed off Batman. And, to me, it makes sense. That scene where Bats is hiding in the upper corner of the room and the way he kinda slithers across the ceiling was creepy AF!

No mention of WW? That part with the lasso was epic!

I absolutely loved that scene where Batman is up in the corner of the ceiling. I love that they really focused on making Batman more of a predator attacking from the shadows or appearing out of nowhere to attack. It felt like I was watching a live action version of how Batman is in the Arkham games. I really liked Gadot's WW, I was pretty sure I was going to anyways, but I think she needed to be in the movie more.

*** Spoiler alert, if you're reading this Adam, and you haven't see the movie, don't click this***
I would have changed the ending a bit though. Instead of that ending shot with the dirt moving on top of Supes casket making everyone thinking he's alive, I would have actually not lead the audience to believe he was alive at all. I would instead have brought in Enchantress from Suicide Squad in another movie and have her use her magic to bring Supes back from the dead. I just think that would have been even better to integrate the DCCU together as a whole.

I have to agree with that. I'll be honest though, for about a minute solid,I thought for sure
Superman was dead! For real! I could see Goyer and Nolan doing it when everyone is expecting a 3rd superman movie, and for him to appear in Justice League. That said, I agree with your comment about making the audience think he was really dead. For real the 2nd time at least, LOL!

Agreed about Bats and the Arkham games. You nailed it!

I know I've said it before, but for me, when WW appeared and that music kicked in, I F'ing lost it, had goose bumps galore, and a smile as big as sh*t! LOL! Really great job with what they did with her.

Hey at least it's a red eye and not a brown eye! Too far? Anyhow I heard on the other forum that the lightsaber doesn't light up. Wouldn't this be the first Jedi/Sith PF without a light up lightsaber?

So you've both given the movie your stamp of approval, I guess I need to get my butt to the theater. I'm still not planning on seeing it for a couple weeks though unless one of my friends here wants to go. Even my friend who wasn't too impressed with it said that Wonder Woman is awesome, she must make a heck of an entrance.

Here is a video about Snyder talking about the ending:

I would have loved to have seen him brought back to life during Justice League and then make a surprise appearance to the team during a battle. Maybe they'll do something like that anyways, because we still haven't seen him get out of the casket yet.

I'd say this portrayal of Batman may be the closest thing to the comics yet, I really can't wait to see a solo Batman film. Affleck is supposedly going to direct one himself.

What? The saber isn't going to lightup? Thats weak!

I definitely enjoyed it more than MOS. I thought it had a lot more awesome scenes, including Batman, but I'll admit I am biased when it comes to Batman lol. The WW entrance was cool, and the shot was very Snydery, but I really liked the shot.
