That pic is awesome, I just ordered it. I ordered BvS right away too. I was going to get them regardless anyways so I figured why not.

Dang! Do you collect steelbooks? I only have 3, I'm usually a big fan of waiting until blu-rays drop to at least $10 before I'll buy them.

LOL! Well, It started off as a mild/ moderate day, but I was feeling good right up until my last deadlift set. I should have been taking longer rests than 60 seconds to a minute and a half for recovery once I started going over 225, but at that point I just wanted to get through the rest of the workout. 315 has never been so difficult, LOL! If I start out with squats (after 10 mins on the stairmaster) I can knock out 315 for 8-12 reps depending on my rest time. I tell you what though, once I get to 405, it's like my body just doesn't want to do the weight no matter how long my rest is. I can get it if I go just about parallel, but if I go any lower, I'm done! I'm pretty much at the end of doing these though. I feel that the machines I use give me better results, and there's less risk of hurting myself. That deadlift bar is awesome BTW. It's heavier than a regular bar (60lbs rather than 45) but the handles are far easier to hold on to than having the bar in front of you. And, yeah, no skinned shins, LOL!

Never got to watch another episode of DD unfortunately. Watched some TFA again. ;) :D About to eat some pizza and the next episode though.

LMK how it sounds man. :D

Yeah, I'm sorry dude. Don't mean to trash Joss, I just don't like him. Probably the same way you guys don't like Snyder, LOL! It's all good though, I do like what Joss has done with the Avenger movies.

You are stronger than I, that's for sure. Must be all that old man strength. ;) Me and another guy in the gym decided our goal was to get to 400 lb. squats by the end of the year, I'll let you know how that goes! I would love a deadlift bar, seems like it's easier to keep your form because you don't have to bend forward as much to get past your knees. Two Fridays ago when I got done my shins were bleeding in three different spots, ha. Of course my gym is dirt cheap and doesn't have everything. I had to go buy my own weighted dip belt because theirs kept disappearing.

Okay just watched it. First impression is that it is one gorgeous blu ray. Out of the previous 6 SW blu ray movies, I would have said that ROTS was the best looking one, and I could have even made an argument that it was the best looking blu I had ever seen. To me, this matched it. The sound was also very good, and it was dynamic. I think you'll love it! But I do think some of the other SW movies did have a slightly better mix. I do hope we get an Atmos mix someday.

I honestly don't have really much of opinion of Joss lol. I liked his Avengers movies, especially the first one, but I've never been a Buffy fan, and I've never even seen Firefly. Its just that Snyder's style wouldn't be my pick for SW. I don't mean to trash the guy at all, he's actually from Green Bay, so its really cool to have someone from my state out there directing hollywood blockbusters.

You have never seen Firefly?? Friendship over. :p That is one of those shows where the entire cast is awesome.

I definitely don't collect Steelbooks. I only have 3 too, and thats including yesterday's Force Awakens. I do like the way Deadpool's looks though, so I went with it, and Best Buy always adjusts the price to the same sale price it is the first week it comes out, so it doesn't hurt to preorder at all. But I always buy superhero movies the first week they come out, just because I want to watch them again as soon as possible. With other movies I'll sometimes wait till they hit like $8, I'm a cheap ass LOL.

Ha! I can't believe I've never seen Firefly either. And I think Fillion is a cool dude, and Summer Glau is smoking hot. I'm sure I'll get into it eventually.

Pretty sure it's on Netflix, go watch it! The first episode is a little slow, but it gets awesome.

So we're in the same cheapskate boat when it comes to blu-rays. I don't even buy superhero movies day one anymore, I just wait for everything to drop in price. Plus I own probably close to 100 movies I've never even seen...I clearly have a problem. I actually need to sell off a ton of movies from my collection!

I'll see if I can get to it this weekend. I also told Lou I'd watch the new Fantastic 4 movie on there, so we could discuss that. I still haven't gotten around to that yet.

Thats what I used to do back in DVD's heyday. I'd buy a couple new releases each week and wouldn't even watch them. I bet I can still find some that are still sealed LOL!

Yeah, I wasn't a Buffy fan either, but knew plenty of people who were. As for Firefly, dude! No, I mean DUDE!!!!! Watch the 14 episodes on Netflix, and then watch Serenity which is also on Netflix. It's a good show, and an even better movie.

Which is weird because IIRC, Rydstrom mixed TFA as well. Hmm, I got my copy and will be watching this evening. Good to know that the sound is dynamic. Something that is missing terribly from the Avenger movies, and I thought for sure would carry over to this since, you know, Disney.

Agreed! I mean, it's corny and campy sometimes, but it's a good show. I absolutely loved Serenity. One of the best SciFi movies ever, IMO.

LOL! I guarantee you have a better bench than I do though. My bench has been on a decline over the last 5 years. Not sure why, but whatever. At this point I'm just trying to stay healthy. 400 is a good goal. FWIW, I know you don't see me wearing them, but try using a belt and knee wraps as you progress up to that weight. It'll help your body get used to the weight better. I don't use belts or wraps anymore, but back in the day they helped me get to where I am now. What kind of deadlifts are you doing?

You gotta watch the show and then the movie man. I'm tellin' ya!

I used to do the same thing with DVD's back in the day. Learned my lesson there, and now only buy every once in a while. Too expensive of a hobby.

Yup, same here! LOL!

I'll have to watch it again because I've completely forgotten it. ;)

I really have to make it a priority to watch Firefly. It seems to be really popular and I have no idea what its even about lol.

Well I wouldn't put the TFA blu in any top 10 greatest audio mixes or anything, but I did enjoy it. There are certainly much better ones out there though, if you were hoping for the perfect demo disc this isn't going to be it. I do think it was better than the Avengers one for sure though. But speaking of Rysdtrom, he redid his original audio mix for the Jurassic Park 3D blu, and it is one of the BEST audio tracks I have ever heard. That guy is amazing!

When Blu's first came out I had to cut my buying way down, because those things were expensive. Now that they've been out for a long time their prices are much similar to what new DVDs were 15 years ago.

Yes! I'm glad to hear you like Firefly as well. I love it, in fact Nathan Fillion will be at ECCC so I'm hoping to get autograph #2 on my Serenity movie poster this weekend!

I'm just doing normal deadlifts with hands outside the legs. And I always wear a belt when I squat or deadlift. Surprisingly I have no leg/knee problems, but my entire back/neck is a mess. I basically deal with chronic pain daily. I've never had a strong bench so I wouldn't be so sure!

I wish I hadn't gotten crazy with my blu-ray buying, I blame the movie deal section on the other forum!

I stopped at Walmart tonight and figured I'd check out the BB8 cover. They had a giant SW display up front that was all DVDs so I walked to the back where I saw a BB8 display and that was all DVDs too! I finally checked the new release section and no BB8 covers but there were maybe 5 regular blu-rays. So they had hundreds of DVDs and only a handful of blu-rays which is odd because online it says the BB8 cover is available for pickup today at that store. Maybe they're all hidden in the back.

That deal section on the other forum is dangerous. It seems sweet and innocent showing you a nice $5 deal, but then you see another 10 and before you know it your broke when you weren't even planning on spending any money that day lol.

That sucks. Well that's Walmart for you. I don't even know if other stores are any better. You'd think they could at least get their **** together for Star Wars.

You guys see this?

Dude! My WM had plenty of the BB8 BD's in stock. They were all over the place. I bought the regular packaging.

Well, lately my bench has been about 280 (+ or - 5lbs on the day). And by lately I mean the last year or 2. My leg strength has increased alot, but seems it's pulling away from my chest, LOL! Yeah, I remember you said that about your back and neck. I definitely feel your pain. Every one I tell that I'm permanently partially disable shakes their head wondering how! LMAO! Exercising is a huge help though. If I weren't doing it, I'd be much worse off. Try some good mornings next back or leg day. Those have also helped in my deadlift and leg strength.

My wife would love to meet Nathan. She's a huge Castle fan, and I'm talking obsessed! I heard he charges alot for autographs though.

BTW, I've watched TFA BD twice now, and went back and watched the other 6 movies. Have to say, ROTS is still my favorite with TFA nipping at the heels. I also noticed, as I was watching AOTC, how much Williams took from that soundtrack for inspiration for TFA. Actually, even from TPM and ROTS as well. Not sure if you guys have heard the similarities, but they totally stick out now that I've viewed the movie at home.

Holy ****, we finally saw footage! I was beginning to think this movie wasn't even real lol. So its looking like tomorrow the trailer should be online. I'm actually shocked that they didn't release it on May the 4th, considering they made us wait this long anyways. And for the record I still heavily preferred Star Wars Anthology over A Star Wars Story. It just sounds so Disney'd up, and after seeing TFA, its clear Disney hasn't Disney'd up SW. (At least not yet. *knock on wood* :ohno:)

I can totally hear similarities between the prequel movie soundtracks and TFA's. I'll admit though TFA's is my least favorite of the 7 so far. I didn't hate it or anything, but nothing new really stood out and grabbed my attention like it did with the other 6.

Apparently my Walmart sucks! Is 280 your max or is that a working set? I will have to add good mornings. Have you ever tried yoga?

Yeah Fillion is costly. All the bigger names are unfortunately. I think Stan Lee was the most I've paid so far. But I had to do it, he probably won't be around much longer.

Did you see this?

I love that Ewan is willing to come back. They need to scratch that Solo film for this!

I'm sure you guys have seen the trailer by now. what did you guys think? Whats your favorite part?

Whoa that's awesome! First time I've seen it. That POV shot of them running towards the AT-ATs is pretty wild. That actress playing Mon Mothma looks exactly like her. Is the base they are on at the start Yavin 4?

I hear ya! And, you're right. Love or hate the PT, Lucas had fresh new ideas. He pushed the technology and gave us cool locations like Coruscant, Kamino, Utapau, Felucia, etc. just like he did in the OT with Hoth, Bespin, Dagobah. He didn't play it safe. Abrams and Disney obviously did. And, while I can see how some may not like that, I'm ok with it since TFA is Disneys way into the universe. I think more chances will be taken once Disney feels they've established Star Wars as their brand. Haven't had coffee yet, so hope you know what I mean.

I keep imagining a scene where a Rebel soldier looks off in the distance into a smoke filled area and sees a dark figure with a red lightsaber striking down Rebels. It just seems so Edward to do that, LOL! I think R1 will be awesome!

Did you see this?

This is so awesome! So, you know they've had conversations about it then, Ewan and Kathleen. "Maybe even a trilogy." Hint fully dropped!

I'm sure you guys have seen the trailer by now. what did you guys think? Whats your favorite part?

I slept in today, but first thing I did was watch that trailer when I woke up. It was also the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 20th, 50th thing I did, LMAO! It looks good man. That beach scene, love it! So many good standout scenes. Mon Mothma, that Kylo Ren looking shuttle, white cape dude looked imposing, dark hooded figure kneeling before a chamber with 2 Red Guards on the sides, Felicity at the end in that outfit, but most of all was the retracting disc on the Death Star. The shadow it cast as it retracted, gave me chills!

They totally need to do an Obi-Wan movie instead of a Han one!

That AT-AT shot is insanely awesome!

They are totally doing an Obi-Wan trilogy!

I absolutely loved the tone and cinematography of this trailer! I thought it would have a different feel than the other SW movies that I'm used to, but I didn't know it would be so obvious even from the first trailer. I know its really early but I really, really like the tone here maybe even more than the usual SW tone :wow:. I know thats a really extreme statement lol.

There were so many awesome awesome shots here, but my favorite would be the one where it looks like Ben Mendelsohn's character is walking up to the beach area through the water, and he's just walking through all of those stormtrooper bodies floating there and destruction all around him, and he's got his white cape thing draging through the water, zero fu**s given about getting wet, and he's just walking intently towards wherever he's going. Amazing looking shot!

And that chick playing Mon Mothma does look just like her!

I'm going to go watch it a bunch more times!

They totally need to do an Obi-Wan movie instead of a Han one!

That AT-AT shot is insanely awesome!

I didn't realize how stacked Felicity Jones is, LOL! I can't wait to see how they are doing Cad Bane!

I love that scene too. I think we'll be seeing more of the Death Star than ever before.

Who do you think that guy is thats kneeling in that scene with the royal guards and that glowing thing in the center of the room?

I want to say Vader, but probably not. Or, your favorite, Ezra after he's turned to the dark side, LMAO!
