It almost was. Batman had'em. I can't wait to get this on blu. I only saw it once in the theater (did the same thing with MOS) but will get viewed a couple dozen times at least when the BD hits. My youngest and I watched Daredevil last night so she could get her Affleck fix, LOL! I still like that movie.

I can't wait to watch it again. I think its coming out to Blu in the middle of July. But hey we got Deadpool coming out in less than 3 weeks! :D

I still like Daredevil too. There were a couple of cheesey moments, but that movie was a lot of fun. I really liked Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin.

I have only ever seen the director's cut of Daredevil and I quite enjoyed it. Some of the action sequences weren't good, but I thought it was a decent flick.

And to answer your question Lou, I thought WW was pretty cool. I will be honest I was more focused on Superman the entire movie, ha. The ending with the funerals was like reliving the comics all over again!

So here's some progress I'm making and need an opinion. Does it look weird having black Bestas on the wall with the tv while having white pax cabinets along the side walls? Here's some pics:

Finally some pics! :D

I like it! :) You've got the black/brown ones that match the tv and stereo components, and then you've got the white one thats off to the side that matches the wall color.

Are you planning on reinforcing the PAX shelves? I only ask because I've read they do bow over time. There is some write up on one of the forums that explains how to add metal strips along the front and back so it won't do this. The besta shelf will bow too if you've got comic Supes or Bats placed in the middle. I learned this first hand and it only took a few months. Its a lot of weight for the center. If you add a fabric cape that would probably negate the problem too.

Thanks! Yeah I thought the black looked better next to all the black media equipment. I'm planning on putting more white cabinets on the wall opposite where I have the other ones. I still have more work to do, it's been a slow process, I usually am not too motivated in the evenings after work and the gym! The good thing is I think I'm in a rare position for a statue collector in that I actually have more display space than I do statues!

I did put the metal strips on the backs of the shelves. The bottom shelf is also reinforced in the front by that shelf flipped on it's side so I'm not too concerned about those. We'll see if the top shelves will be okay with just having the backside reinforced, that XM Daredevil is as heavy as the Gladiator Hulk. If not I can always add the metal tracks to the front as well.

Thats in a good position to be in. At least you won't have to worry about having to sell off a statue just to make room for another one for a long time.

Good to hear about the strips. I think if you have the weight more evenly distributed around the shelf you will be a lot better off too. When you put a heavy piece in the center of a shelf all by itself its way more likely to bow. I wish Ikea made the shelves a bit thicker.

Every time I see that Gladiator Hulk I want it more an more. Thats got to be one of their most impressive PFs ever. I hope we get a Planet Hulk movie eventually. Is the XM Daredevil your favorite piece?

Well IKEA doesn't make the highest quality stuff, ha ha. You could watch the animated Planet Hulk film. :p That movie was my first introduction to Beta Rey Bill, I was so confused as to who the heck he was. And you should get the Gladiator Hulk!! Have you read the comic before?

I don't know if I have a favorite piece, do you? That XM Daredevil makes the SS Daredevil look kind of awful when they are side by side. Then knowing the SS one has a high probability for leaning issues makes it even worse.

Ha, ha. No their stuff definitely isn't the greatest quality, its basically just overpriced particle board.

Okay I don't know who Beta Rey Bill is either lol! :p I haven't read the Planet Hulk comic, but I just want to see Hulk fighting in a Gladiator pit on the big screen. I guess Hulk is going to be in the third Thor movie. If it does well maybe he'll finally get his own movie from Marvel Studios.

I don't know if I have a favorite either. Almost every time I open a new piece I think its my favorite lol. I think that new TH Catwoman of mine is probably it though. I've already seen pics of a Daredevil PF that fell over and smashed. I don't think SS was thinking about longevity when it came to that piece. That new Spider-Man PF of theirs is another one I'd be concerned about.

Well technically it would be his second MCU movie...I actually like the first one with Edward Norton. So Beta Rey Bill dresses exactly like Thor, but he's some sort of horse creature. I have never seen him outside of that one animated movie, he wasn't in the comic. I'm guessing they couldn't use Silver Surfer for the movie since FOX or whoever has the FF4 rights. Of course XM already has a Beta Rey Bill in production because they are making EVERYTHING!

It really sucks SS gave their DD such shoddy treatment, even the pose is weak. The Spider-Man actually has a bar that runs up into his arm for support, for some reason they decided they didn't need to do that with DD. I have that Spider-Man and the Green Goblin (and Wolverine) on order, my two Marvel PAX are going to look pretty bare until they get here.

I should have said finally another Hulk movie from Marvel Studios. That 2008 movie seems like so long ago. Its the only MCU movie that doesn't have a sequel, or planned sequel at least. Edward Norton has gotta be one of my favorite actors, that guy is awesome. I don't remember why they said they weren't going to do any more solo Hulk movies after that one. I thought that movie was pretty good, and definitely better than Ang Lee's Hulk where he fought Poodles lol.

So XM is making Horse Thor? lol. I just can't see that one being a big seller.

I didn't want to say anything about the DD PF, because I know how much you like the character but I always hated the pose. That XM DD just completely blows the PF out of the water. You should flip it and pick up another Marvel character PF. Thats good to hear about the bar in Spider-Man's arm, just looking at that thing would make me weary about it massively bending and breaking otherwise. That Green Goblin is one of the most amazing looking PFs I've ever seen from SS.

Yeah, alot of cheesy moments, but a good movie overall. Plus BULLSEYE! LOL! Damn I forgot how good Colin was playing that character.

Really?! Nice! I DP twice in the theater, but yeah that is getting multiple views on BD right away as well.

That looks awesome man. I love the contrast. Had no idea you had all that! Lookin' really good man.

I hate you! LOL! We bought a new and bigger house, and I actually lost space compared to my old room.

IIRC, I had read that they weren't doing any more Norton Hulk movies because he was hard to work with. Not sure why they haven't done one with Ruffalo.

I'm loving that we are getting most movies out on Blu within 4 months after they are in the theater. I remember back in the VHS days sometimes having to wait a year or more.

I remember it was originally reported that Norton wanted more money to be in the Avengers, but then there were other stories that came out saying all types of different reasons he wasn't returning. One report even said that Marvel said Norton wasn't good enough??? WTF lol. Who really knows what happened. I just hope if Thor 3 does well enough with Hulk in it, we'll get another Hulk movie.

Hulk fights poodles? Like the dogs? Ha, what the heck! I've obviously never bothered watching that movie. I've heard lots of conflicting stories on why Norton didn't come back so who knows what's real or not.

I don't know, Marvel fans like their Beta Rey Bill apparently! One of my friends is a big fan of his, even has a mini bust of him. I would love if XM had the DC license (other than the fact that I'd be broke), I can just imagine some of the lesser characters I would love to have in statue form like Booster Gold! I wonder if XM would ever make a Darkhawk...

I'll hang onto the SS DD for now, I do prefer the more original costume on that one. Yeah that Green Goblin looks fantastic. It was super expensive though, luckily I got the 10% discount on that one.

Yeah Colin did Bullseye pretty well. Maybe a little campy, but it was pretty good. Bullseye seems like a hard character to portray, I mean I don't know any other villain in comic books who has no backstory or real name!

Thanks, I just got all those cases and Sindvik doors. I've been slowly putting everything together. Hopefully I'll have an actual collection to show like yours soon. How the heck did you lose space with a bigger house?

Yeah definitely watch the director's cut, I've heard people who disliked the original movie actually liked the director's cut.

Yup, they were dogs that were made huge by Bruce's crazy dad played by Nick Nolte. Some of that may have happened in some form in the comics at one point, but that was definitely something that should have been left there and not brought into a movie lol.

I've literally never heard of this Beta Rety Bill Horse Thor guy. But I have definitely heard of Booster Gold, his popularity seems to be increasing like crazy lately.

XM is making these weird Japanese inspired Batman 1:4 pieces, I don't know if you saw any of those yet. They look kind of interesting but definitely nothing I'd be dropping that kind of money on. Also Prime 1 is making some of the New 52 characters in 1:4 scale. They have a Supes coming, although I know you're not crazy about the New 52 outfit. They also have a 1:4 Darkside coming that looks like its going to be absolutely enormous. The hand of the thing is almost the size of a normal human hand!

I'll definitely get the DD directors cut next time I order stuff from Best Buy.

Yeah...that doesn't sound like a good movie idea. And Booster Gold should be more popular, he rules! Ha ha. Didn't Nathan Fillion say he wanted to play him in a movie?

I saw those Batman statues. They are cool, but definitely not something I would spend money on. Weren't there samurai Star Wars figures too? I saw that Darkseid, that thing is going to be crazy huge! Thankfully I have no interest in the New 52 stuff. Green Lantern is about the only one I would look at since his costume didn't really change much.

Here's some Beta Ray Bill for you :p

Wow! Thats... wow. LOL. So is that Mjolnir this thing got a hold of, or is there another Hammer out there that gives the Thor power and outfit.

Fillion should totally be Booster Gold!

Now that you mention it there are samurai SW figures, they look pretty badass too.

Speaking of Green Lantern, I heard that they are going to put Hal Jordan, Jon Stewart, and Kyle Rayner in the Green Lantern Corps movie they're doing. Apparently they are looking for a slightly older Hal, someone like Matt Damon.

I thought Norton was awesome! But, so is Ruffalo IMO. I actually liked the Bana Hulk also. That tank scene is still one of my favorites. The dog thing was a little weird though, and while I appreciated what Lee was trying to do, it just wasn't what the majority of audiences wanted. I still watch that movie now and then though.

Yeah, I'm loving that too! Who knows! Maybe the window will get shorter and shorter to the point where they just release the movie on home video within a week or two after the movie hits theaters. Hmm, this sounds familiar. I know someone foresaw this at one time (George Lucas) LOL!

We watched the Directors Cut. Yeah, alot better.

I ended up with a smaller room than the previous house, but everyone else got bigger spaces. It's all good. The wife and kids are happy, so I can't complain. Plus, I do have a loft available, but I love having everything in one room. Guess I need to get over that. Take your time man. Before you know it, you may have to many pieces to display.

Yeah, there were 2 pitbulls I think and one poodle, LMAO! Was a good fight scene though, but just odd with the dogs. There's a scene where Hulk escapes an underground military base though, and it is awesome! Definitely worth checking out just for that part.

I like Damon. I especially love we are getting another Bourne movie.

That Ang Lee Hulk movie was just too odd for my taste. I thought Bana was okay, but the movie itself just wasn't my cup of tea. I don't think I've watched it in at least a decade. Maybe I should give it another watch just to laugh at the dog fight scene lol.

I remember Spielberg talking about how more homes keep adding excellent home theater systems and how there will be a big dropoff in people going to theaters to see movies eventually. He was also saying that he thought movie tickets would eventually reach the $100 range and movies that actually made it to theaters would be a really big thing. I don't know how much of that last part would be true, but even with my very modest 3D and HTIB setup I enjoy watching movies at home just as much as the theater, and that way I don't have to deal with stupid people in the audience that won't shut up or their phones going off, or having to spend $25 just to get some snacks lol. So the faster movies come out on Blu the happier I am.

I'm excited Damon is coming back for another Bourne movie too. I'd really like to see him in a DC or Marvel movie too, and if he could be in a DC movie with his buddy Ben that would really be awesome, which is why I'd love to see him play Hal Jordan.

Was thinking the same thing. I take it that Lantern won't be in the new Justice League movie then.

Lucas had the idea about movies being streamed into homes before it even happened, LOL! I'll have to find that interview, but funny how it came true.

I think I might watch that tonight too. I don't think it was all bad. Just not as good as Norton's Hulk. Everything from the underground military bunker escape to the San Francisco smash was gold though, IMO.

From what I heard Green Lantern isn't going to be in JL. Unless they cast whoever is going to play him without making it publicly known, so they surprise everyone.

Whoa thats cool. These genius filmmakers are always way ahead of the curb when it comes to home entertainment. But even as awesome and convenient as streaming is, I still like being stubborn and buying the physical media of a Blu lol.

Yeah, I like discs better. While it's nice to pop on some Netflix while I'm in bed, when I do serious moving watching, it's always in my room, with a BD, and the sound at reference level.

Yeah, probably not the first one since they are already filming, I think, but maybe JL2 or 3?

BTW, almost died today. Not being dramatic either. Thankfully I got it all on video and plan on sending this encounter to the company that the driver works for. Anyway, here it is:
