I'm another one that really loved the first Matrix but didn't like the sequels as much. I don't hate them or anything, but I just thought the first one was really something special and fresh.

I'll even admit there are filler eps in Gotham, and I love the show. I think 22 eps for an hour long show is a bit much every season.

I really like the Ikea Billy. Not as deep as a besta or pax, but it looks really nice with those full length doors they make for it. Have you looked at any Billy HT setups?

If you love the characters then filler episodes aren't that bad. Of course I'm guessing Gotham isn't near as cheesy as the superhero shows on CW.

I've seen some Ikea Billy setups. The problem again is with the doors on there then you can only fit 3 characters to a side. I could just go buy acrylic sheets, cut them to size, and attach them...but I don't think having just that on there looks very good. I really just need to win the lottery and hire a custom cabinet maker, ha ha.

Gotham is really different than the shows on the CW. It never goes into the force romance stuff that Arrow and Flash has to do for the network's core young female audience. But the villains can be a bit on the campy side, which I personally don't have a problem with in a show based on a comic. The main focus of the show is to make sure Gotham feels like a place of fantasy, or at least a place thats not anywhere near here and takes place in no specific time. Central City and Starling City from the CW shows are a lot more grounded in realism than Gotham, and feel more like they take their influence from Nolan, while Gotham blends more of a mix thats mainly Burton with a little bit of Schumacher. At least the CW shows allow their heroes and villains to use more fantasy than you'd expect in a Nolan movie though. I think I'll eventually get back into Arrow, I just needed a break for a year or two lol. That Felicity Smoak chick is hot!

Ha! Did you think about maybe going doorless? You could also do floating shelves.

The thought of going doorless with kids around just scares me. Especially with HT's since kids are definitely going to want to play with them. I have an alarm set on my phone reminding me to dust the statues every Saturday lol. If you forget to dust once in awhile its no big deal, just as long as you never let it get caked on.

See that's why I need doors, ha. My friend and his wife are staying with me next weekend and they have a 1-year old, probably be holding my breath all weekend!

I don't think my new place has that much dust compared to the place I was living before so that's a plus!

You think you'll pick up anything else while you're waiting on Kylo?

I probably will. But I have no desire to get anything right now just to get something, especially since I'm still sour from Kylo's price, but its going to be a really long time before it ships. Don't know if I'll be able to go thorough that much of a statue drought until then LOL. If something comes out or catches my eye after awhile I might pick it up.

I really like the third ones. They have a nice blade like design. But they might be the least comfortable? The others look like they would be more comfortably contoured for your hand.

Well at least its going to be written by Kasdan. I might not ever be fully accepting of the actor, but hopefully Kasdan will at least make him be full of Han-isms. (Yeah I just made that word up lol)

If they go for the whole "Gunslinger" Han (like Silverado and Wyatt Earp) I think it will be good!

The blade faces out, thankfully, so my fingers would actually go on the flat side. And, since they are half the size of my stock levers, I'd only be using a couple fingers instead of yanking what I currently have, LOL!

So, for a "logo" I'm thinking either the word "Sith," Mauls Lightsaber, or the current Canon Sith Symbol. Haven't decided yet.

Really? I guess I thought the first Matrix was such a cutting edge movie that I felt the sequel was a huge letdown in comparison. I think it works better as a standalone movie that didn't really need a sequel. I've honestly never watched the third one.

Yeah I'm with you on Krypton being on Netflix. I watch The Flash and Arrow on a weekly basis, but man are there some filler episodes when they are trying to stretch it out to 22 episodes. Doesn't help that Arrow has gotten pretty bad after season 2 and Flash basically did the same story this year as season one.

I've never seen Gotham, I just had to get my Batman jab in there. That Krypton show definitely sounds weird. Maybe Jor-El's dad works in a crime lab and it will actually be CSI: Krypton.

I don't know about the Detolfs, you can only display 3 figures per shelf and I think they look better all together like I have them now (and I'm still missing a few). Maybe I'll get more PAX that aren't as deep as the ones I have. Or a Billy.

I'm glad you guys appreciated that video. I'm going to have nightmares about stormtroopers shaking their booties, so wrong!



I agree with Josh, the third one looks the best.

Thanks man. Yeah, I liked'em too. My wife doesn't though. She said with the spikes and blades it seems like too much. It's a theme though, and I'm going balls to the wall with it, LOL!

If it helps, most were female from what I read.

Ikea's floating shelves, like Josh said, do a good job with the 1/6 and smaller stuff. I have several of those shelves in my kids room for their minibusts, 1/6 figures and 1/6 statues, and they work well. Just a thought.

Man, I've been tempted with HT for the longest time. You just keep on nudging me closer and closer to the edge. LOL!

I agree on the first Matrix being ground breaking. It was gritty and new. The other 2 were more polished which I was ok with too, and it was a deeper, more philosophical, than the first. There's definitely a separation from the first and 2 & 3 though. That's more thanks to WB not green lighting the trilogy from the start. Had WB given the Wachowskis the ok to make all 3 at the same time, I think the last 2 would have been better received. Still love'em though. That Dock Breach scene in the 3rd one to this day still has to be one of the most epic battles ever filmed.

Oh gosh, I would rather my statues sit out and gather dust than sit in the boxes! I've hated that they have been boxed up for the last 6 months. I don't like the idea of spending so much money on something and not enjoying it.

It helps a little, but still stormtroopers should not be doing those things! I was impressed they were able to do back flips with all that armor and the helmets on. That couldn't have been easy.

I may look into floating shelves. I could cover my entire living room wall in those, ha. We will see though. I will continue to tempt you with HTs as I get them. I still have to open my Darth Vader.

I think I would have to rewatch the second Matrix movie, I have only seen it one time and the circumstances might have affected my opinion. I was at Fort Benning and we went to the opening midnight showing. By the time I got back to the barracks it was after 2 and I had formation at 5:30 that morning. So as the day went on I think I hated the movie more and more, ha ha. Man of Steel was kind of the same thing, I went to a pre-screening, but my friend didn't show up so I was in the theater by myself on my birthday. So there is a slight chance that circumstances may have made me dislike those two movies more than I might normally have. At least I'm not as bad as my two friends, between The Force Awakens, Batman v Superman, and now Civil War, I've only got one positive review and five negative reviews from the two of them!

I'm super bummed today, I found out my gym that I've been going to for almost 7 years is closing on Sunday. Now I have to find a new gym.

I think you are seeing pretty much what the display will always look like. They may have more SW PFs added in them as time goes by, but thats going to be it in there as I don't have room in my SW room for another Besta, unless I want to take up every inch of space I have available. And I don't want to do that. In the other room where I have my Batman Besta, thats probably going to be about it too, stuff is already cramped in that room as it is. If I ever move that could always change. The only must have I have left to get is a Nicholson Joker PF, and that may never happen if SS doesn't get the likeness rights. And if PF prices keep going up I might end up passing anyways. I still haven't decided if I'm going to get the Pfeiffer CW PF or just stick with the TH. I just don't know if its worth it to spend the extra money on. If I didn't have any RP to use on Kylo you'd see a lot more bitching from me about the insane price. There still is a possibility I might pick up the Droid PFs if I can find a deal on them down the road, and I may (and I really only mean may) sell my Stromtrooper PF for a Captain Phasma PF if they make her, depending how it turns out and price. There are still possibilities that I could also pickup more SW PFs from upcoming movies, but if Kylo is already $570 I cringe to think what prices will be by the time Ep. IX comes out.

If I completely fill my Bestas and I feel like collecting after that I would probably move into sixth scale only after that. I might be able to squeeze a detolf in somewhere.

Just saw the First Order Stormtrooper PF is going up for order next week, that's two SW statues in less than a month. Plus the sandtrooper was pretty recent. Who has taken over SS?

I didn't realize space was so tight in your place, that's probably a good thing for your wallet though! I've seen the droids sell for as low as $700 shipped recently...but they are still way overpriced considering R2 is plastic and not even half the size of a regular statue. They do look fantastic though. You can't sell the stormtrooper, that's one of the most iconic characters!

I can understand how Batman can be too Batman-y for the casual fan, but I'm just like "Give me more!" lol. But Nightwing is pretty awesome. It was cool when he filled in for Batman too.

I haven't tried the discount code yet, but I'm going to wait at least a couple of months before I order anything else. I can only swing one PF on Flex at a time, maybe 2 if its something really special, but I'll definitely be waiting till SDCC to see if there will be any surprises. I think the main F.O. stormtrooper designs will mainly stay the same, but I'm sure we'll see another new trooper introduced, maybe a new sandtrooper or another variant. At least I hope thats it for all of those that have to collect everything because thats going to suck otherwise lol. I hope Phasma has a bigger role in VIII. Are you still buying the Marvel HTs too? How are you able to afford all of these lines???LOL.

Nice! I'm sure that will help! I'd imagine a bunch of Flex's at once would really suck. Especially if you don't have anything shipping out to you that month. Its like you just spent a lot of money and got nothing lol. Thats a good plan you've got there. Lets see how well you stick to it a couple of months from now .

You've got those nice 2 tier Bestas, so if they ever make a Hawkman thats really wide you could always just put him on top of one of those if he won't fit in a PAX. Booster Gold would be cool! I don't really know what I'm hoping for. I'd love to see a Phasma PF. I think if I do more SW I'm going to stick to helmeted characters from this point forward, as their human PFs sculpts can be hit or miss, and the paint they chose for their flesh tones isn't so stellar. Definitely not up to HTs level anyways.

I've got all these shows I gotta watch, I'm just too lazy. I'm literally looking at my PlayStation controller across the room from me, and I just can't bring myself to go and get it, turn it on and fire up Netflix or HBO. Its just too much work LOL.

Oh gosh, I would rather my statues sit out and gather dust than sit in the boxes! I've hated that they have been boxed up for the last 6 months. I don't like the idea of spending so much money on something and not enjoying it.

It helps a little, but still stormtroopers should not be doing those things! I was impressed they were able to do back flips with all that armor and the helmets on. That couldn't have been easy.

I may look into floating shelves. I could cover my entire living room wall in those, ha. We will see though. I will continue to tempt you with HTs as I get them. I still have to open my Darth Vader.

I think I would have to rewatch the second Matrix movie, I have only seen it one time and the circumstances might have affected my opinion. I was at Fort Benning and we went to the opening midnight showing. By the time I got back to the barracks it was after 2 and I had formation at 5:30 that morning. So as the day went on I think I hated the movie more and more, ha ha. Man of Steel was kind of the same thing, I went to a pre-screening, but my friend didn't show up so I was in the theater by myself on my birthday. So there is a slight chance that circumstances may have made me dislike those two movies more than I might normally have. At least I'm not as bad as my two friends, between The Force Awakens, Batman v Superman, and now Civil War, I've only got one positive review and five negative reviews from the two of them!

I'm super bummed today, I found out my gym that I've been going to for almost 7 years is closing on Sunday. Now I have to find a new gym.

LOL! I used to hang out with a guy who was super negative about everything. The only SW movie ever made, in his opinion, is ESB. No other one exists to him. Needless to say, it was a short lived friendship.

And they look sleek as hell. I'd love to have those for some of my SW stuff, but everything I have is too heavy. They are more made for 1/6 stuff, and those display just awesome floating on a wall.

I think I'm going to pass on the Dredd statue. I really like it, but it doesn't go with any of my collection and I don't have the room available to display a quarter scale piece all by itself.

We watched them around Christmas time IIRC, but I do the Dock Breach scene as a demo all the time.

Just saw the First Order Stormtrooper PF is going up for order next week, that's two SW statues in less than a month. Plus the sandtrooper was pretty recent. Who has taken over SS?

Yeah I need to stop making impulse buys. I have my Marvel PAX mapped out so I'm going to try to stick to my plan. My DC side of the wall has room for expansion so I'll probably keep buying those as they come, but I'm probably done with the bat-verse. Nightwing and Riddler would be the only two tempting ones, I don't need Robin (and probably don't need Batgirl).

I didn't realize space was so tight in your place, that's probably a good thing for your wallet though! I've seen the droids sell for as low as $700 shipped recently...but they are still way overpriced considering R2 is plastic and not even half the size of a regular statue. They do look fantastic though. You can't sell the stormtrooper, that's one of the most iconic characters!

Its great to have a plan if you can stick to it. But pieces can come out you don't anticipate and then your plan can fall apart quickly. I'll definitely be cherry picking only my favorite characters when it comes to SW.

I hope they make a Nightwing for you. He's definitely one of my favorite characters. His outfit looks awesome too as long as they stick to the Blue and don't go with the Red New 52 crap.

If I go for the droids I'll probably get the new ones and get them one at a time. With a 5000 ES they'll be available for awhile. The Stormtrooper is definitely iconic, just don't know if I like the design better than Phasma's chrome outfit though. I'll wait to see what happens anyways. There could be more awesome PFs coming from Eps VIII and IX.

Watching the extras for TFA, it seems Phasma was added late when Kathleen Kennedy saw the design and said it needed to be in the movie. The fact we got Phasma at all is pretty lucky since it was a design for Kylo Ren that was tossed in favor of his current design. I will say though that it was a missed opportunity by Abrams to have her fight Finn instead of "TR8R."
