Have you ever seen a life size bust in person? They really are quite impressive! Is the helmet not removable on the Vader bust they currently have in stock? If you're going to spend that kind of money I would track down the previous one as that unmasked portrait looked amazing in my opinion.

Oh yeah he had his hands on Catwoman's whip before his dad grabbed him and I decided at that point to just move them all.

That's crazy about the Son of Dathomir TPB. It's odd that happens sometimes with out of print TPBs. I want to get John Byrne's Man of Steel run on Superman, but volume 4 goes for an insane price. I'm impressed you got through 2000 pages, that is such a daunting task, ha. I actually got through the 1000 page Walking Dead compendiums in under a week each, but those are much easier reading.

Aren't you picking up all the #1's for Rebirth?

Just do it! I still need to order Finn. That 2-pack deal with TR8R is actually a pretty good deal. Crap I still need to order Fett, he's actually in stock now so I better do that soon.

I'm going to have to google "weighted hip thrust" because I imagine it's not as weird as what I'm picturing in my head.

Too much? Heck no, I think you should just go all out! I like the top three choice the best, I would go with what Josh suggested: Sith Apprentice on the top and Son of Dothomir on the bottom.

Wow, that Black Panther is pretty badass, I hadn't seen that one yet. The Spider-Man is a little too busy for my taste. It almost feels like you're buying the base and Spidey is an accessory, ha. I don't know that they have U.S. distribution rights, I think SS just made a deal with them to be an exclusive distributor of their Marvel products. I'm not sure how that all works though.

Wow, that sucks about Darkseid. I'm sure the full payers they charged nearly three weeks ago aren't going to be happy! Mine is on flex pay so whatever. At least they didn't just send them out as they were (which I'm actually shocked they didn't). Sideshow really should just start focusing on becoming the distributor for XM and Iron Studios to go along with their Hot Toys (and Mondo and whatever else they have) and stop making their own product until they can figure it out. All they've been doing is raising prices and not improving quality, it's frustrating as heck! I have never once opened a Hot Toy and been worried about what I might find inside. It's always a gamble with Sideshow products on what you're going to get. I mean Lobo and Gladiator Hulk are absolute works of art, but then they come up with that Supergirl and I'm wondering what the heck they are doing.

If Darkseid isn't bad enough, I just read that the current batch of the Superman PFs have also been deemed unacceptable by SS. I have no idea wtf is going on. Either there was some water leak or something like that on the container ship, or they have lost all control over their overseas manufacturing department. I just know SS is cutting as many corners as they can, so if the overseas department is the problem it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

They could easily just make the book into a police/mystery type story on different planets and it would still be interesting. I just saw Marvel is making Captain America a Hydra agent starting with the new #1 issue coming out. I mean seriously what the hell? They even admitted it's going to piss a lot of people off so I don't know what their angle is here.

And then the regular #1 is the series that will be picked up. I have no idea if you will have to read each Rebirth #1 before you can read the real #1 to figure out whats going on. I'm pretty confused by the Rebirth #1 and regular #1. Maybe I'll ask my comic book shop owner today and see if he knows. I'm sort of guessing the rebirth issues are kind of like origin stories for this new universe, but who knows. Have you seen any spoilers about who is responsible for accidentally creating this new universe?

Hmmm.. I'd stick with the Darth on top and then add either Sith Apprentice, Sith Lord, or Dark Disciple on the bottom. I personally really like the others too, especially Son of Dathomir, but its going to take a real SW nerd, or Maul nerd to figure out the bottom line of some of those. With something simple and Sith or Dark Side related the causal SW fan will pick it up right away. But you gotta go with what you like. All of those ideas will look really cool

I'd love to hear what they have to say about their licensing restrictions, but they'd probably dodge the question.

I know Adam had this piece on order. What in the hell is going on with SS's QC. I'm glad they caught this before shipping them out, but there is a massive lack of communication and supervision in between wherever they are making these in China and then at SS itself. How could they possibly have made all of these without catching the problem? Kind of reminds me of the Apocalypse PF, a bunch of those had massive paint errors and rust stains, but at least they didn't ship Darkseid. I'm sure there will be more price hikes on our end coming soon to cover this blunder.

1st, sorry Adam. That must suck! 2nd, gotta give SS some credit for "catching" this before those pieces got to customers (Aayla Secura PF hint hint). That said, I'm not surprised. I don't know who they are using to make their stuff, but it seems like other manufacturers are doing better. The days of SS, GG, etc. being at the top are over. I totally welcome what IR, HT, XM, P1, and anyone else I missed are bringing.

It is as weird as you think, LOL! Chicks mostly do it to build their glutes, but I've been doing them for almost a year now, and everything feels more "full" now. I do multiple variations (flat bench, step, flat on floor). Anyway, here is a vid on the flat bench and step version. I would always start with just a bar in the beginning to get used to the movement then add weight.

Wouldn't surprise me either. They probably picked the cheapest manufacturer they could get. It's less about quality and more about quantity. The DS PF's must have been really bad for SS to start over on those. I've seen what bad looks like and SS still said they were acceptable.

I would recommend at some point going for one life size bust in your collection. Has to be a must have though for that kind of money.

I'm waiting for the inevitable day six months from now when a Sideshow employee is wandering through the warehouse and sees a ton of Darkseid PFs sitting by the trash area and says "oh look the new batch of Darkseid PFs have arrived, I need to get these shipped out"

Thanks, but I'm not too worried about it being delayed. I had it on flex payment so it just means my final payment won't come out for quite a bit longer, oh well. I definitely agree with SS's days as the top dog being over, that's why I'd really like them to focus on distribution especially for XM!

Well I stopped at my comic book store and bought DC Rebirth, I won't spoil it for you. I also bought the second volume of Sex Criminals...it's about a guy and girl who can freeze time when they have sex. Yeah that's right. I love Image because they publish all sorts of independent comics and they have some crazy concepts. Of course Walking Dead and Saga are their big draws.

See even Lou thinks you need one! Did they ever make a 1:1 Maul bust?

I did see this, I would definitely buy Daredevil even though I sold all of my Marvel figures (actually I still have all the GotG). They said on their FB page that both Daredevil and Punisher are coming, Punisher would be tempting as well. I might actually buy the latest Captain America. He's my favorite character from the MCU. Of course I'm trying to keep up with all this Star Wars stuff too so it's tough wanting everything, ha. I actually bought R5-D4 today with that $25 code they sent out. I thought he would look cool with the jawas (or even Tatooine Luke).

Okay so those hip thrusters are actually what I thought they were. I see girls doing those at the gym all the time, I'll have to give it a go.

I have three DC busts: Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern. I'll try to take them out this weekend and snap a photo.

Well I stopped at my comic book store and bought DC Rebirth, I won't spoil it for you. I also bought the second volume of Sex Criminals...it's about a guy and girl who can freeze time when they have sex. Yeah that's right. I love Image because they publish all sorts of independent comics and they have some crazy concepts. Of course Walking Dead and Saga are their big draws.

I did see this, I would definitely buy Daredevil even though I sold all of my Marvel figures (actually I still have all the GotG). They said on their FB page that both Daredevil and Punisher are coming, Punisher would be tempting as well. I might actually buy the latest Captain America. He's my favorite character from the MCU. Of course I'm trying to keep up with all this Star Wars stuff too so it's tough wanting everything, ha. I actually bought R5-D4 today with that $25 code they sent out. I thought he would look cool with the jawas (or even Tatooine Luke).

Would you ever consider collecting all the Justice League busts if they made them? Flash would probably look really cool.

Whoa, that sounds like a pretty cool comic. How is the artwork in it?

They did make a Maul but if I was going to spend that kind of money I'd actually go with Vader. Just looking at the pics I know that thing would look phenomenal, and when I think SW he's the still the character that pops in my head first.

You totally should get DD and Punisher. Its so awesome HT is diving into Marvel TV stuff as well.

No, I still have't watched any CW shows regularly in at least a year and a half. I made it through up to about half of the third season of Arrow and that was it, and I've seen a couple of the Flash eps but they were just random ones. I did see the one where Mark Hamill came back to reprise his role of the Trickster. I did buy the original Flash 90's series on DVD, I actually really liked that one, could be nostalgia though.

Thanks, but I'm not too worried about it being delayed. I had it on flex payment so it just means my final payment won't come out for quite a bit longer, oh well. I definitely agree with SS's days as the top dog being over, that's why I'd really like them to focus on distribution especially for XM!

Yeah, I think a 1:1 bust in every collection isn't a bad thing. Same thing with a full life size character. Someday....someday, LOL!

Ok, cool! JL busts. Now you need a WW "bust" to make it complete.

Alot of girls I see doing them go light. The reason is, they are shaping more than building. I tell ya man, when you get to the point where you can put some weight on there, you'll start to wonder why you never did those before. I'm just now at the point where I rep with 415, but when I started, it was 95lbs. Don't rush it. Give your body a couple months to get used to some weight before you go balls out! Also, you'll probably get looks for the bench guys who never do legs, LOL! Anyone else who does heavy squats will definitely get it.

Thanks man. I wonder though, is it really ever done? Like collecting. I have a riding buddy in Olympia who has a hardcore sportbike rider friend who just hates what I'm doing with my bike. He's one of those "put every manufacturer for every product you use on your bike sticker on your bike" kinda guy. That's just not for me. I don't like manufacturer badges on anything I ride or drive. Anyway, I do hope to one day be finished, but I know once I add a part, a year later, I'll find the same part that looks a little different and get that one, LOL!

I agree, go with Vader. I love my Maul bust, but TBH, the 1:2 Maul bust is painted far better, and looks more like Park/ Maul.

This does look really awesome. I doubt I'll flip my OG Maul for it though. I do love the new pose, but its the same outfit. If this was a fully robed Tatooine version I probably would have bought that and kept the OG. I'm still really excited to see how this turns out, and I'm really interested to see how the base looks. This also looks like this might be an extremely tight fit in a besta with the way the decided to have the saber down by his side straight. I just took the arm off on my original and the only way that would fit is completely diagonally across the entire besta.

I wonder if the the artist already knows for a fact she is a Skywalker. If she ends up not being one then we all were overreading into everything too much the whole time LOL.

An XM Maul would be phenomenal, too bad I won't be affording that thing.

Edit: Just clicked on the full size version of the Maul picture and in the bottom right it says lighting added for effect. Looks like this will be another one that doesn't light up.
