This does look really awesome. I doubt I'll flip my OG Maul for it though. I do love the new pose, but its the same outfit. If this was a fully robed Tatooine version I probably would have bought that and kept the OG. I'm still really excited to see how this turns out, and I'm really interested to see how the base looks. This also looks like this might be an extremely tight fit in a besta with the way the decided to have the saber down by his side straight. I just took the arm off on my original and the only way that would fit is completely diagonally across the entire besta.

I wonder if the the artist already knows for a fact she is a Skywalker. If she ends up not being one then we all were overreading into everything too much the whole time LOL.

An XM Maul would be phenomenal, too bad I won't be affording that thing.

Edit: Just clicked on the full size version of the Maul picture and in the bottom right it says lighting added for effect. Looks like this will be another one that doesn't light up.

LOL! Why am I not surprised. Now here is where we say, "Maybe it'll be cheaper since it doesn't light up" but we all know that won't be the case. The only reason I'd get this is because the sculpt looks better than the OG version. I'd still keep my OG version too though. Now that I've heard XM is currently working on their Maul, I may just wait and go for theirs since I already have an SS Maul.

Yeah, I have my OG Maul in a Besta cube with the Mythos version. That saber does pretty much have to be going all across the back of the cabinet in order for the statue to fit. If this new Maul doesn't light up, maybe the blades can be removed and the hilt put on the belt (like the Kylo PF).

We totally are all hoping he was instructed to draw it like Anakin, but he was probably just browsing through SW photos looking for a pose he liked and found that one.

First, that Charlton Heston gif, LMAO! That's totally it too! LOL! Their reasoning will be, the XM one will be more, so why not charge a couple hundred dollars more even though it costs us $50 to make.

Last I heard, the XM Boba just had to be painted and apparently that is now done which is why they are working on Maul now. So, I guess we should be seeing pics soon. I hope.

The only problem is the who they use to paint those. If they go with the same painters they used for Savage, it definitely won't look like it does in the pic.

Too many QC issues with SS before we get the product, during making the product, and after we get the product (sometimes way after like the Wraith on Steed from LOTR). I had heard XM had a similar issue with one of their statues leaning well after they had shipped, and XM offered replacements. Something SS has never done. Not to mention when XM does stuff like that, it is with little issue, as where with SS you have to fight tooth and nail to get a replacement or your money back. And, even then, they don't give you a full refund.

It is. Like I said though, you have to be close to notice. But, in those pics I took, those paint app issues can be seen.

LOL. I'm still hoping they kill him off! I don't want to say if he ends up being Snoke that will ruin the character for me, but its certainly not going to help.

I honestly didn't think this was coming. With the lull that there was I was thinking they were eventually going to announce they were only going to release SW items through their HT partnership. Especially when they couldn't even get a TFA PF up for order on Force Friday when every other company under the sun had product out or up for order. There is still a part of me that thinks Jango got completely canned. I can't believe we saw the Sandy and Maul first.

Man the pricing in this hobby has gotten so out of hand the last couple of years.

I just wished they would have pushed a little harder to have had Kylo up for order at least when the movie was still in the theater. If the blades don't light up, then they will definitely be removable. That seems to be the way they do those (Grievous, Ventress). I guess if it doesn't come with a cloak like as an EX or something, the MYC cloak is an option.

That would make sense, but apparently R2's popularity is way higher than I ever knew. I always liked him, but not as much as some I guess. Out of the two I think Threepio would be my favorite.

You're so right! If I see a chick in a SW shirt its almost always got an R2 design on it.

I never really even use the lightup but its definitely something I like to complain about not being there LMAO! Once I start getting PFs whose sabers don't lightup I'm just going to take the batteries out of all of them as I don't want to have some that turn on and some that don't. Its kind of a downer but oh well. It does make it worse that we won't be getting a price break though. I'm just so Maul obsessed that was the first thing I noticed when I looked at MYC's cloak. It does look like its really nice quality though. He has a cloak for the Luke PF too. Now thats one I'm not familiar with as far as accuracy goes but it also looks really nice.
