Yeah, I saw Stephen Stanton post about it on Twitter. Very exciting. Reaction video, here we come! LOL!

Right, all that could have been done already. They still can though. I mean, besides Carrie, Luke and Han can still get away with looking a little younger. Can you imagine the Han movie opening up with Boba Fett climbing out of the Sarlaac Pit, and then the flash forward like 20 years or so?

You know I'd love to see that too. Sadly, I don't think Disney has any interest in exploring that time though. TCW to them may be a done thing. I hope not. A live action movie would be sick!

For me, it's still Deadpool, but yeah, Suicide Squad was pretty good. Loved seeing Affleck in it. And, again, Leto was just awesome!

Also, just in case you hadn't seen my IG or FB lately:

I love the shots! :D

It seems like Deadpool came out so long ago, its hard to remember that it was this year lol.

They totally should be pushing for some movies that take place right before TFA so they can bring back the original cast. I'm sure if the script was good Harrison would be game for it.

I think LFL really is trying to distance themselves from the prequels. I read an article that was talking about what Iain McCaig was saying during a recent conference about TFA and VIII, and he implied that any ideas that had inspiration taken from the prequels, like either characters or environments were banned from moving forward. TFA didn't offend me when it came out because it ended up being a very good movie, but I will probably always have issues with the way they kept trying to overly appease the OT only fans during the marketing of the movie. I think over time we are going to hear more stories come out about LFL/Disney further distancing themselves from the prequels, although I don't think they are ever going to directly say that themselves. That really sucks because I'd love to see more stuff between II and III, and between I and II. There was also this image which came out that has Anakin's force ghost, but the ghost apparently had the ability to slip back into being Darth Vader:

Obviously that whole thing had to be scrapped, but there definitely were people that wanted to get Hayden back into the movies.

BTW, it has begun. I've sold off my first piece. Say bye bye to Chewie. :)

Thats definitely must have been a hard thing to do, but I just know its going to lead to some awesome stuff soon. At least now I can finally say I have a SW PF that you don't :p. I'm so geeked to see all of these new XM pieces, but if they pull the same **** as they did last year at STGCC I think I'll be so pissed I'm going to throw my computer across the room.

Lmao! It starts soon, right?

I think they are just trying to make Star Wars their own. I think if they were really distancing themselves from the PT, they wouldn't have used Ewan in TFA, referenced Clones in TFA, put Pod race engines in TFA, etc. Not to mention bringing Maul into Rebels. I'd like to see that article. And, I just wonder if that guy is just another PT hating sack of scabs stirring **** up.

Imo, Disney really wants to make Star Wars their own. While we may be getting flooded with movies that are a continuation of the Saga and set around the same period, I think Disney will move on once they've made a lot of their money back from the purchase which is why they are focused on the iconic characters (Han, Vader, Luke). They know all fans, OT and PT will flock to watch. Watch, they will venture off at some point and do something completely new.

I really enjoyed Suicide Squad. As of now its my favorite DC movie from their current movie universe. Will, Margot, and Leto were so great in the movie.

I hope they see fans wanting a Vader movie and we get one eventually. I guess the good thing about Vader is they can always put a big dude in the suit and it will probably work out. I just hope they make it happen while JEJ is still alive and able to do voice work. If only we could get Ewan and Hayden back to do a TCW live action movie though! That would be so awesome too!

They had so much time that they could have done a Han movie with Harrison that took place after ROTJ. I guess I kind of gotta blame George a little for not getting the ball rolling on that decades ago. We could have had a Luke movie too. And a Leia one while Carrie was still good looking.

Did you hear we are getting a Rogue One trailer on Thursday? I hope its not the same minute long one from Celebration that recycled 60% of its footage from the first trailer.

Saying Suicide Squad is your favorite of the three movies isn't really saying much :p I still haven't seen it though, I'm not going until next weekend.

Someone explained it perfectly on another board. They said Marvel movies are like Pixar movies, they are made for everyone (young, adults, old people) to enjoy. You can bring your family to a Marvel movie and everyone can have fun. While nobody can figure out who the DC movies are being made for exactly which is probably why they're so polarizing. You couldn't really bring your kids to BvS and most people I've talked to (who do like the Marvel movies) were extremely confused by BvS.

I think even PT haters will admit Ewan was awesome so it's not surprising they haven't distanced themselves from him. Most of them think Maul and Qui-Gonn were the other two great things to come from the prequels. Plus the Clone Wars were mentioned all the way back in ANH so that might be the reason TFA still mentioned it. Of course I'm not a PT hater and don't think they should distance themselves from the PT.

I hope Disney ventures off and allows something different. I would love a Rogue Squadron movie!

So I need to vent. My dad got arrested again last night because he's completely off his rocker and was going around town taking stuff and putting it in his friend's yard. He needs to be hospitalized and on medications. This is so frustrating having to take care of him like he's a dang child. He was doing okay for a while then quit taking his meds and started drinking beer and smoking weed 24/7. I hadn't talked to him in over a month because he's so sporadic and mean. He lives 250 miles away in another town so that's good for me at least, but my cousin was telling me it's scary living in the same town as him. This is so frustrating!

Yeah, I think its early next month.

Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid or something, but I'm just not feeling any PT love from LFL. I guess it is good they referenced clones in TFA, but they did in ANH too, so I don't know if they were really trying to appease PT lovers by putting that in there, although I will say adding Ewan was a nice touch.

Here is the article: (It has possible Rey spoilers for VIII and IX at the end, so be careful if you want to avoid possible spoilers) http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2016...ens-hints-at-star-wars-episode-viii-plot.html . Iain McCaig is very far from a prequel hater as he did lots of artwork for them, so he definitely wasn't bashing them himself.

I'm hoping they do something new too. There is so much SW stuff out there they could do that isn't related to the core saga.

Ha! I know :p. The DC movies really have a bunch of different tones with the 3 films they've done already. I'm not so sure they even know what they want to do. I think they are just trying to do a bunch of different stuff and see what the audience likes most. Marvel definitely had a much better thought out plan from the start. I can see how someone would compare them to Pixar.

Yeah Ewan's performance was pretty well liked by most from what I remember, even the PT haters. Thats why I would have thought they should have felt more confident with a Ewan Obi-Wan movie over a newly cast Han movie. We'll just have to wait and see what happens with that one. I've already seen quite a few people online that are claiming they won't be seeing the movie. There were people that were saying the same thing about TFA once they found out it was writing over some of the old canon, but the movie still smashed so many records out there so I don't know how much faith I put in people staying home.

A Rogue Squadron movie would be awesome. Before Rogue One was even confirmed there were tons of reports coming out that the first spinoff was going to be about Rogue Squadron.

Holy ****!!!! I have a brother who has a mental illness that has a real problem staying on his meds, and has a weed addiction too so I know its never fun trying to deal with all that stuff. My brother luckily hasn't done anything really bad for a few years so I guess I'm lucky. He does get really ****** up when he smokes pot in combination with not taking his meds though. He can say really mean things, and sometimes can even get violent. One of the last times he was in the hospital he smashed a TV in a fit of rage. Another time he threw a potted plant at his step dad's head. He's almost 50 but still has the occasional explosion. I hope your dad can get the help he needs, my dad used to actually work with the mentally ill, and he always said its almost impossible to get those people to stay on their meds. If you add drugs or alcohol in with that and you can have a real nightmare on your hands.

Not going to lie, I'm one of those people who has no intention of seeing the young Han Solo movie. The actor may very well be great, but it just wasn't a character that can be recast like James Bond. Of course I've been totally failing on seeing movies lately, there are 4 in the theater I want to see right now!

How do you deal with your brother? I have no idea what to do, I've pretty much stopped talking to my dad. He was awful to grow up with, he was verbally abusive my entire life. I just don't want to deal with him anymore, he's so mean to me. Apparently he got bailed out of jail today then the cops picked him up again later, no clue what he did the second time. I don't trust the guy at all. I was saving up to get new carpet, but I'm kind of debating on buying a gun now instead. Maybe an over reaction, but I would sleep better!

Its like constant stress with my brother. When he goes off his meds I have to basically walk on eggshells with everything that I say to him. At first he won't admit to being off of his meds at all, but I can tell because he will start to become extremely paranoid, thinking everyone is out to get him. Because of his illness he can't drive a car so he has to walk or ride a bike everywhere he goes. But while he's out on the streets he'll start flipping off cars as they drive by because they were "looking at him", other times he does very bizarre things like climbing up on top of public benches and starts shouting random things, regardless if anyone is around or not. Its really weird. And while this goes on he feels the need to call me multiple times per hour sometimes to tell me about how badly everyone out there is treating him, sometimes I get up to 20 calls per day. Usually most of his problems can occur from simple 30 second or less interactions with customer service at stores. His mom who I also assumes has some type of mental issues, and definitely a drug problem will just scream at him and hang the phone up on him. When she does this it f***s him up even more and he can say very scary things to me about wanting to harm her. There have been times I had to talk him into going to the hospital after this. I'm assuming sooner or later I'm just going to have to completely cut my ties with him, but since he's my brother I'm always doing my best to calm him down, telling him to get back on his meds, and to stop doing drugs. Sometimes this works, sometimes he'll get pissed and hang the phone up on me.

The only thing I can say is if you think you can talk to your dad about getting help, that would definitely be best for him. Although if he's destructive there is a good chance he won't want to hear any of that, and depending on his mental state anything can happen after that. If you are really concerned about what he could do to you then you absolutely have to cut all ties to the guy. And if its bad enough where you feel the need to buy a gun to defend yourself, definitely cut the ties and probably get the gun too, because there its not worth chancing it if you think he really might try to hurt you. As much as you will want to help, if he's set to self-destruct there probably won't be much you can do anyways and you gotta make sure you look out for yourself. Like I said sooner or later I might have to do the same thing with my brother. Its a really sad thing, but often they won't even realize the stuff they are doing is effecting other members of the family, not just themselves. It sounds like your dad is really off of the deep end right now, so hopefully since they arrested him again they will realize what is going on with the guy and court order the guy to mental treatment, medication, and substance abuse counseling.

I'm thinking right now I'm not going to even want to see the Han movie, but once they drop a trailer with some SW music that might make me change my tune. I wasn't excited for BvS at all either until they dropped the 3rd trailer that was heavily Batman centered, so if they trailer is done right sometimes I get weak LOL.

Speaking of Trailers, the new Rogue One trailer just dropped about a half an hour ago:

This seriously has a much different tone than any SW movie I've ever seen. I don't know whether I like it or not. I guess I'll have to see the whole movie to find out. I really loved the last shot when she was walking right up to that TIE Fighter. And they seriously wussed out with that quick little Vader shot in the end. I wanted to see him do or say something at least!

See I don't know how you do it. I pretty much shut down when people start yelling at me, I don't know how to deal with it. Sure it may be because of a mental illness, but how much are you supposed to take before you have to get that person away from you. I mean do I just deserve to be miserable the rest of my life or should I just cut ties with my dad? I'm honestly not sure if he's mentally ill or if he's just a drug addict at this point. I mean he had a horrible temper growing up and would fly off the handle all the time, but he never really exhibited the mania signs of bipolar. He was just a manipulative verbally abusive jerk. So now I wonder if he really is bipolar or if he's just his ******* self who is now addicted to alcohol/drugs on top of it. Because his therapist said he's still manipulative and careful of what he says so I don't know that bipolar people can be like that. Thanks for talking to me about this.

Okay I think Rogue One looks awesome, that trailer got me excited. I like that it feels different. I'm hoping for something gritty and if they really want to go for realism then most of those characters are probably going to have to die in the end. We'll see if they follow through with that. It's still going to take a LOT to sell me on the Han Solo movie though.

I'm honestly not sure how I manage to do it either. And I have snapped on him and have hung the phone up on him in the past too. I guess I keep telling myself that he's mentally ill, and has no idea what he's doing or saying. It can get really mentally taxing on me, so sooner or later I will probably have to cut ties. If he takes his meds and stays off of the drugs its he's like a normal person. But then he'll decide to smoke some pot once, and once he does it once he won't stop. He completely replaces his meds with weed. Within a few days he completely isolates himself in his house and will wake up at 4 in the morning each day and he'll start smoking right away and continues throughout the day. Some months every dollar he gets from government assistance he spends on drugs. It doesn't help that his mom has a drug addiction as well. They recently had a family member commit suicide on that side of the family, which brought them closer together but now they just have huge house parties where everyone goes over there and smokes weed for the entire day. Somedays its so bad with his mom, she is almost oblivious to his drug problem. She's even asked him to sell her drugs in the past. I've honestly never tried weed once in my entire life, mainly because I've seen what its done to my brother. Sometimes I wonder myself where his illness ends and the drug addiction problem begins.

Like I said before if its to a point where you feel endangered by your dad you gotta cut the ties, and don't feel bad about doing it. Its not worth feeling miserable your entire life over. You have to look out for yourself. If he's been offered help, medication and counseling and doesn't take it its because he's chosen not to. A lot of the times the addicted like to blame everyone but themselves for their problem, but sooner or later they've got to take the responsibility of their own actions and get help. I hope your dad can do this one day, but if he can't don't feel bad about letting him go.

Thanks for letting me vent my b.s. about my brother too. We are really in the same boat with our family problems.

You guys will probably think I'm crazy for saying this, but I didn't love the Rouge One trailer. I thought the visuals were incredible, but I thought this trailer was a lot of style over substance. I didn't connect or really feel interested in any of the characters. This was more like a teaser than an actual trailer. It wasn't like the second TFA trailer, where I cried man tears with the "Chewie, we're home" line. I guess I wasn't expecting a line like that, but when they showed Vader I literally felt nothing. I don't know what I was expecting from him, but a 1 second close up shot from behind wasn't it. I'm giving the trailer a 5/10. Pretty disappointed :meh:

LMAO! I replied, but again didn't post! Ugh!

I moved across the country to get away from my father. Best thing I did.

That's exactly my point. They know that there are PT fans so why would they alienate some of the fan base? They wouldn't. Disney will take what they want from the previous movies and use it as they please. The fact they've already used Maul, mentioned a Clone Army, showed pod race engines, etc. I know there are a bunch more I just can't remember right now. If Disney seriously thought that distancing themselves from the PT to appease the OT purists was the right move, then they have some real geniuses working for them.

When I got to the part where it said a reader attended the event, I stopped reading. Pure conjecture. Had an actual news source attended the event and reported on it, it would hold more weight.

Saw the trailer and loved it! Edwards is doing an awesome job it seems. I did a reaction vid on my channel and I was in awe. It's going to be good!

Thats what I'm thinking too. I'm not really worried about not liking the movie, I'm pretty sure I'll really like it. I'm just not sure why this trailer isn't grabbing me as much as the first R1 trailer did. I think that only 1 second Vader shot just pissed me off :p.

I'm probably just reading too much into that stuff. Its just when I read any kind of semi anti-PT story coming out it makes my blood boil for like a week. Even if its not true, my blood is still boiling as I'm just passionate about the saga as a whole and I guess I go into some kind of super defensive state over it.

I watched your reaction video a couple of days ago, you definitely were more stoked than I was. The good news is I've watched it a few more times and I like it more than I did the first time.

Did you see the Kylo reaction video:

OMG! That Kylo vid, LMAO! "Ground to air missle launcher against an AT-AT? Where were those on Hoth?" Dude, I lost it!

I don't blame you man. You know how I feel about it too. I think we will eventually see some PT era movies or a movie of some sort. When those that grew up with the PT are about our age, they will finish what George Lucas started. ;)

Yeah, I knew they wouldn't blow their Vader wad in the trailer. They'll wait for the movie. That said, was that Naboo on the opening shot? Like a dried up wasteland version of it?

I just watched this International trailer:

I liked this one quite a bit better. I'm back to being super stoked for this movie again!

I'm not watching it yet. May do another reaction vid. My first one has nearly 1200 views. Pretty pleased with that.

That had so many great lines. "Can you be trusted with this many blue neon displays" and "Oh my God its Hayden isn't it" I was dying LMAO!

That would be great. It would be really awesome to see all of the countless PT bashing vids on Youtube be replaced by countless PT supporting vids instead. I still think they should have done an Obi-Wan movie instead of a Han one. I wonder if they are listening to what the fans are looking for with spinoff movies.

It looks like it could be a dried out planet. I'm sure whatever it is it will probably be another dry, sandy, dirty Tatooine knockoff lol. I refer to Jakku as Jakkuooine to my SW buddies :p.

The international trailer isn't that different than the US one. There are a couple of new things. I just thought it flowed better overall.

I ended up watching it. Figured too much time passed for a reaction vid. I like both. The music in these two trailers is just incredible.

Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought it was Naboo in the trailer. A bunch of others on FB did too. You're right though. It's probably a different planet.

It's already happening. Now though, the PT guys are bashing the ST, and the OT dooshes just bash everything, lol!

I've watched that kylo reaction vid a dozen times, and it still gets me everything he busts out laughing, .

I gotta start watching more of those pro-PT videos. I'm guessing in 20 years we'll see the people that love the ST and hate the OT and PT lol.

I've watched the Kylo reaction vid even more than the trailer. Its so hilarious! Gets me rolling every time.

Haha! I know! There was a guy on one of our rides that went on and on about the new movie. I finally said, I'm a big fan of it, and he avoided me the rest of the ride. Too funny.

Iron Studios just teased their first 1:4 SW statue:

More SS competition has finally arrived :D.

That's gotta be Vader!

Boom! I saw this on the other board, everyone seemed to be guessing it's Kylo based on the fabric. I honestly can't tell the difference so who knows, too bad it will cost as much as a XM piece!

That Kylo reaction video was great! I checked it out the other night, my friend thought I was stupid for laughing at it.

So I finally saw Suicide Squad last night. I kind of thought it was a mess, I would give it a 5/10. I definitely have no desire to ever watch it again. I will say I enjoyed Leto's Joker, still wasn't a fan of his look though. I didn't think the Joker ever cared that much about Harley in the comics so I asked my friend who is a big HQ fan and she confirmed the Joker pretty much abused her non stop. Guess it doesn't matter, WB has already confirmed they couldn't care less about the source material.

Yeah, I'm still getting a kick out of that video.

Hmm, could be Kylo. Still thinking Vader though.

That definitely looks like Kylo's fabric. If Iron Studios gets US distribution for their SW stuff this could come in around $700ish maybe.

There was a lot of Joker stuff that was cut out from the theatrical release. Jared Leto is pretty pissed about it too. There were quite a few behind the scenes vids online where he is slapping Harley around, and they were nowhere to be found in the movie. I'm guessing the studio decided to cut these out because it probably would have caused whining from women's abuse groups. That really sucks, because I think we would have gotten a version much closer to the comics. Its sounds like they are planning to at least include most of the deleted stuff on the Blu-ray.

LOL!

Yeah, I'm still getting a kick out of that video.

I'm thinking by the look of the pattern of the fabric its either Kylo or Palps. Vader's cape looks smooth, and there definitely looks like there is a pattern in the fabric. Unless my eyes are going and I'm imagining I'm seeing something that isn't there LOL.
