Ha! Yes! That's awesome! :p

I'm glad you found a brand new line and a brand new company to order from so quickly. I don't think you've ever talked about Tweeterhead before seeing the SDCC pics. This is pretty exciting! :)

I was going to guess Aquaman would have been at least $1200 from Sideshow if he looked like that. Do you know what XM's original MSRP was on Namor? It would be super awesome if he was cheaper than what SS is charging for Thanos. They seem kind of similar in complexity.

The one dude I was talking about was super stingy way before he got married. Other friends married or not are quite a bit less stingy than him, but none have a super expensive hobby. Well, if your brother and his wife don't have room for all of those kids you know where they'll be going :ohno:. Hopefully he gets snipped soon .

I feel so bad you got that awful situation with your dad. Its bad enough when someone has issues with their siblings, but having issues with a parent must be the worst.

What would you do if your brother ended up homeless, would you take him in? I have a feeling one of my brothers or I is going to have to let our dad live with us eventually. He owns the house my two youngest brothers live in so hopefully that's where he'd go.

I didn't ever mention Tweeterhead before because all they were making was Batman stuff, ha. But yeah, I'm definitely excited especially since XM will be making statues in the same scale so I'm hoping I can cherry pick all the statues I want. Do you have your next Arkham statue picked out?

I looked it up, Namor retailed for 1050 SGD which is $771.73 USD. XM doesn't really jack up the prices, I'm pretty sure Ghost Rider was still within their normal price range too. You know Sideshow would have charged $2K for that piece (and all of them would have arrived warped or broken). That's what's annoying me about Sideshow now, they are trying to charge what they think the statue will be worth on the after market instead of sticking to regular pricing. They are an extremely shady company!

Do you want to try to guess what I got for all my Mattel DC action figures? The last lot ends on eBay on Sunday.

Yeah, I guess I would have to. But he's on full government assistance because of his mental illness. So he should be good, as long as he doesn't get arrested for something lol. His mom (he's only my half brother) takes care of all of his house needs for now but after she passes one of her family members is supposed to take over and he does not along with her at all. So I'm not really looking forward to that at all. Is there a possibility if your dad moves into the house that your two brothers are in that he'll kick them out?

Ha, oh yeah I forgot :p. Are you at least going to get Batman from this line or XM's? I really love all the stuff TH puts out, especially their Batman '66 line but I just don't think I'd want to actually collect it. I ordered Arkham Knight Batman last week :D. But I flexed this one so I'm not getting him till the end of December. :meh: After that I don't know who I'm going to get next. I might get Scarecrow, or their new Catwoman that was at SDCC. Or I might go back and get either Two-Face or the Arkham Knight. I wish I could get you into playing one of these games eventually lol.

A price like that for a piece like Namor is super reasonable IMO. Considering the epicness of that piece. Its the aftermarket price increase and the extreme shipping that kills whatever desire I have of ordering an XM piece. That Ghost Rider is so amazing, but that marked up price he's going for is insane. I just can't justify that for 1:4. Sideshow is really shady, but I think the worst thing for me about them is they actually ship out returned pieces they already know are eff'd up. I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Tell me you didn't get something insane like a grand lol. I literally have no idea what the value is on any of those so I wouldn't even know what to guess.

Dang, well I hope his mom lives a long, healthy life! Well my dad is living in his mom's house rent free right now. They finally put her in a nursing home since she's 95 and not really there anymore. I have no idea what will happen when she dies. I guess if they sell her house he should probably get enough of a cut to pay off his debt then he'll have to find a place to rent.

I will get Batman...believe it or not I have a few Batman related characters on that list I made. It's pretty awesome they are making statues of a video game you love!

Yeah, the $300-400 shipping for large XM pieces hurts. I should really stop ordering them beforehand after seeing the nosedive the after market is taking. I wonder if the "contacts" are going to dry up because people are going to stop ordering from them. It's just not worth it anymore unless it's a convention exclusive.

So when I first listed my DC action figures, someone offered me $1,500 for all of them. I had no idea what they were worth, but I haven't seen anyone listing complete sets like I have so I decided to just put them all on auction by sets. The last of them just sold and for my entire collection I got $3,003.38.

:OMG: Are you f#&!@ing serious?!? How the hell is this possible? I'm hoping you're happy with that. What are you going to buy with all of that money? 4K TV? 2 or 3 XM pieces? That Prime 1 Doomsday? You should totally get that Wonder Woman on the horse! :p

I hope she lives long too. When she goes I don't even know how that's going to effect that dude. If he ends up having problems with the woman that's supposed to be taking care of his things after his mom passes I could actually see him getting violent and maybe even ending up in jail. I hope your dad gets his **** together and it doesn't come down to you having to support him.

Who is all on your list so far? Iron Studios is also making a ton of characters from Arkham Knight but they are 1/10 scale and sell in the U.S. for about $100 each. I'm not crazy about that since Kotobukiyas of the same scale go for around $40-$50 each, so I again used my supreme intellect and decided to buy 1/3 Prime 1's instead for almost $1K each. That will show them!

I'm starting to consider not ordering from SS anymore after seeing the nosedive the market is taking too. Aftermarket prices of all companies and licenses are tanking so hard its almost smarter to just wait for the piece to hit eBay and save $100-$300 on it. The only thing I don't like is I still get nervous about buying an expensive thing off of eBay because if something goes wrong I have to go through the hassle and possibly fight eBay to get my money back. If all else fails with SS I can always just send the thing back and get a refund sans reward points.

Well I had nearly every figure made and the only complete sets available on eBay. But yeah, it's pretty crazy considering they were all loose figures. I should have been smart and bought a 4K TV, but instead I've been using all the money to buy Hot Toys figures. Never claimed to be a smart man.

Do you really want me to post my entire DC want list? It's like 40+ characters, ha. 1/10 scale is too small so you made the right choice with the Arkham characters. 1/10 is pretty much 6-inch action figures.

Yeah, returning something on eBay would be a hassle. I haven't had to do that yet. I get nervous because every now and then some random statue or figure I want actually goes up in price in the after market. Take that 1/6 Snowspeeder Luke that Sideshow made for example. Everyone thought it was way over priced and they were just going to wait for it to be discounted, then Sideshow made very few and now it's already a sought after figure with people whining they missed out. Would never have guessed that one. Or the Finn Stormtrooper is a HT figure that's gone way up in value.

As long as you're buying something that makes you happy thats all that matters. :)

Do it! You can always use a spoiler if its too long and ridiculous lol. Yeah, I'm not a fan of 1/10 either, they're so small and look cluttered when mixed with larger and more awesome scales.

I haven't either, but I get really nervous whenever I buy something expensive. I rarely pay attention to SS's 1:6 stuff since HT got the license. I'm a bit shocked that Luke has gone up. I'm sure once HT makes him he'll drop. Hopefully they'll make a 1:6 Snowspeeder to go with him!

I will post it later, the list is on my laptop at home. My friend collects those 1/10 Koto statues, although I think he felt inferior after he saw my statues. Man, he's a goon. He's been complaining about how terrible The Dark Tower movie looks for months. It's finally out and getting terrible reviews so of course he likes it. I swear he likes anything people hate and dislikes anything people like (he hated Dunkirk). He also just called Neal Adams a nobody.

The only 1:6 Star Wars figure Sideshow showed at SDCC was that mythos Obi-Wan. I wonder if they're going to fully step aside? I do like their bounty hunters, I'd really like to get IG-88 and Bossk. We shall see.

Ha! I know its a serious list when you got serious enough to sit down and type it out. ;) Thats how I am usually! I usually hate super popular stuff and like the more absurd/hated movies and characters (the SW Prequels, Jar Jar Binks, the Joel Schumacher Batman movies). But I know nothing about this Dark Tower movie other than its not getting good reviews.

I see a lot of people saying they think SS is just going to step aside and let HT handle the SW figures. But I think thats wishful thinking. I bet they are pissed HT was able to get the license. The only question I have is if 2 competing companies can both get the SW license in the same scale why can't other companies also get rights to DC and Marvel in the same scales? This whole hobby is mind boggling at times.

I'm assuming Sideshow allowed Hot Toys to have the Star Wars license since Sideshow carries their product. We all know they blocked XM from getting the 1:4 scale DC license. Sideshow is greedy with their licenses and they don't make anything other than the same characters over and over. They've had the Marvel license for well over a decade and they are just now making Magneto. We've still never seen a Mace Windu or prequel Obi-Wan PF either. I wish more companies could get licenses so there were more choices out there! Of course the market is so oversaturated that I have a feeling that there will only be a company or two left standing. That's what happened with the sports card business.

Ha, but you didn't hate The Force Awakens or Guardians of the Galaxy (or maybe you did?). He also liked the Fantastic Four movie and likes that Captain America is a villain in the comics now. I think he's going to snap one day, he only reads comic books for the villains which scares me, ha ha. I mean I enjoy a good villain, but I'm always rooting for the hero to win!

So summer is almost over, did you take any trips? I'm heading down to Boise on Thursday. I've never been there before, should be interesting.

I just don't get how its Sideshow's decision to let Hot Toys get it. Shouldn't it be LFL telling Sideshow to share the license and stop being a bunch of selfish assclowns? I hate how companies are able to monopolize these licenses. Wouldn't the licensor want to give the license to many companies which would in return sell more products and give them more money? I guess I never figured out how this stupid licensing thing works but I think its stupid!

Ha! Who are his favorite villains? My favorite characters from Star Wars are the villains :ohno:, I hope I'm not going off the deep end too LOL. Yeah, I like TFA and Guardians, but neither one are my favorite movies from the series. I still prefer Fox's X-Men movies and Sony's original Spider-Man movies over just about every single MCU movie made. I'd even rank MoS and BvS above them too. I do still enjoy the MCU movies, but it seems like they are the majority of people's favorite CBMs, but they have been getting stale to me for a few years now. But I have to be honest and say that DC characters and the X-Men and Spider-Man are my favorite comic book characters ever, and all the characters that the MCU has are not my favs, so that could have a big thing to do with it too. I really got into it with one of my CBM buddies a few months ago, the argument ended with him calling me a weird bastard . For the record I am not a fan of any of the Fantastic Four movies, I still haven't seen the newest one, but again I am not a big fan of them in the comics either.

I had a very lazy summer. What are you going to do in Boise?

Maybe it wasn't Sideshow's decision? I have no clue how any of that works. But we do know one company was able to block another from getting the 1:4 DC license so it's all whacky!

I'm not sure who his favorite villains are. Gosh, maybe I should introduce you to my friend, ha ha. ;) I do love the original Spider-Man trilogy, but the X-Men and DCU movies don't really do it for me. I really appreciate the continuing story lines and universe building that the MCU movies have done. Granted, most of their intro character movies are pretty much all the same formula. I don't know anyone who likes the Fantastic Four, whether it be comics or the movies! I don't mind Human Torch and Thing, but the other two are just blah.

I'm going to visit an old roommate and we're going to a concert on Friday for some band he likes. A couple other old friends are meeting us there too so should be fun...if I go that is. I'm having another extreme bout of insomnia and have hardly slept all week. Definitely not going to attempt a 12 hour drive on no sleep.

Here's my ridiculous DC character want list, let me know who I forgot!

It just sucks letting only one company have each license when it comes to statues as you are then stuck with only one option and if you don't like the pose, design or likeness then you could be left waiting years or decades before another one comes along. Or worse, you could be waiting for a specific character and they never make it because they choose to do the super popular characters over and over because that's apparently making them more money. That's great for the company, bad for collectors and completists.

Ha! I can be bizarre at times :p. I still like the super popular stuff too though. What really gets to me is when the fans of the super popular stuff gang up and hate on fans of the less popular stuff. Sometimes that gets me so pissed I almost start hating the super popular stuff just because of some of the fans' attitudes. My brother is the only one I know that likes the Fantastic Four comics, but he doesn't like the movies either.

Sounds like fun, minus the insomnia thing.

Excellent list! But you aren't going to get Harley? I'm glad you got Catwoman and Poison Ivy on there. I just hope they make a normal Catwoman too, and not just that purple dress and green cape version. I really hope they make an Eradicator! I always loved that design, it just screams 90's!

It's definitely a frustrating hobby when only one company has the license then they completely botch the statue (yeah, I'm talking about Sideshow of course). Then you're right, it's years waiting for another one to come along. This hobby is frustrating because we aren't going to live forever so Sideshow taking 10 years to make a character makes me mad as hell! Plus the 1+ year wait time even when statues do go up for order is also frustrating. That's why I was excited about XM possibly getting the 1/4 scale DC license. They've already done a ton of Marvel characters Sideshow has never touched in what, 15 years? Then Sideshow blocking them on the DC license has pretty much cemented my decision to never order another statue from them.

Ha, that's why I started hating on Batman! The Bat fans (not you) just get on my nerves sometimes. I saw an article yesterday that was a list of comic book characters who could defeat Thanos with the infinity gauntlet...of course Batman with prep time was on there. The article went on to explain how he can defeat every member of the Justice League, I just rolled my eyes. Thanos with the gauntlet could wipe him out of existence with a snap of the finger. I sort of get annoyed by all the fans out there that claim to be big Marvel fans, but really know nothing about the characters outside of the movies.

I might get Harley. I have a few days to decide. She does look really cool. I definitely wouldn't buy a caped Catwoman, might have to go through XM to get a version of her I like. I'm excited to have multiple options! And yes, Eradicator rules! I loved that whole Return of Superman story line. I wonder if I should add Steel to my list, I forgot about him. Hmmmmm...I'm actually reading the Superman: Doomsday trade right now. It collects a few different story lines from after their fight. They really should have left Doomsday stranded at the end of time since he's impossible to defeat and is a one dimensional character, but just looking on Wiki I can see that they've brought him back multiple times since.

Yeah I was definitely talking about Sideshow too. If I was collecting X-Men and had to wait this many years for them to get to Magneto I'd be pissed. And then he turns out pretty unexciting when they finally get to him. I guess thats why XMs goes for $3-$4K. Sideshow blocking XM on the DC license was such a dick move! I hope their 1:6s turn out so awesome they get people to sell off their PFs.

Yeah I can understand that. Sometimes I am surprised at his popularity at times. But I'm starting to think Iron Man might be the most popular hero currently. Even I don't think Batman could beat Thanos, but if they did actually somehow put that in a comic I'm sure Batman would somehow win. And I'm sure you'd hate him even more. :p

I was just watching Sideshow Live and they had the Tweeterhead Harley, Joker and the hyenas on and I actually had to turn if off because of how awesome they looked! I just can't let myself get sucked into this line. There is only so much money and so much free space.

I think they brought Doomsday back just because of his popularity because he killed Superman.

Doomsday is virtually unstoppable. Every time he dies, he comes back immune to what previously killed him and he's just a mindless killing machine. He could probably destroy the entire universe if he had transportation. Even the gods like Darkseid can't beat him. They kinda wrote themselves into a corner with how powerful he is.

Are you sure...?

Doomsday unstoppable? Pshhht. Batman would slap the **** out of him in like 5 seconds.

Those look so cool together. When they were showing Harley on the video her smoke effect even looked awesome, and you know I don't usually like smoke effects. I'm going to wait and see with these. I've already got my money tied up with P1 Batman right now, but you never know with me, sometimes I impulse buy once something actually gets in stock.

Even if Batman beat him, he'd just come back immune to whatever he did to defeat him! That's why Superman left him at the end of time, but apparently Brainiac retrieved him. I have noticed whenever the Justice League fights Doomsday that Batman is never there.

I'm impressed you like the smoke effect. I'm not sure I like the green gas on Joker. I wonder if it's detachable. I guess I'll find out when I get it. I withdrew money from my PayPal to pay for him next Tuesday! I'm already addicted to this line and I don't even have one in hand yet.

There's a thread to vote for your five most wanted characters for the Super Powers line. For some reason people keep voting for Batman even though he's already in development and it's obvious A-listers will get made. After a few people (me included) pointed out that's a waste of a vote, the next person to post their list had Batman at #1. I also keep seeing people hounding Tweeterhead about showing Batman or whining that they won't buy Joker without seeing Batman first. I'm loving that they didn't do Batman first and the bat boys don't know what to do, but their entitlement is triggering me!

How are you going to find room for all your 1/3 statues?

Batman clearly isn't there because he would beat him too easily and quickly! The fight would literally only take up the first two pages of the comic book, and the rest of it would be Batman banging Lois and Wonder Woman at the same time because he's so awesome, while he forces Clark to watch!

I'm surprised I like it too, I even like the green gas on Joker's base. The two hyenas are really what makes the collection for me though! Its so awesome Tweeterhead made them, its going to make that set so unique! I think you're really going to like Tweeterhead, for the money they are one of the best companies out there. The only downside about them is the small scale but with all of those that you have on your list the scale won't even matter. Its going to be one of the most epic collections ever!

LOL. I don't know why people would even think they wouldn't make a Batman. Just seeing the stuff they've already made he's clearly one of their favorite characters, and all they would have to do is look at the ones they've already made to see how awesome their Batmans turn out. I better go vote in that thread. Is it possible for me to vote for Batman 5 times?

I don't even know yet. That's just another reason why I can't look at these Tweeterheads right now. I think I'm either going to move my 1:2s out of that room and put them in the main living room so I can replace that space with new bestas or a PAX, or I'm going to move everything else out of the bestas that are already in there and dedicate those to 1:3 only. Then I'd have to find somewhere else to put my Burton Batverse stuff.

Can't Batman impregnate women just by looking at them?

That's funny because I have no interest in the hyenas. I don't even know who they are. My friend who likes Harley didn't know them either. Neither of us have seen the animated series though.

You realize you're supposed to move down a scale when space is an issue. :p

The K-2SO Premium Format went up for order for $650 .

Wow, $650 for a super basic statue. The arms and legs are thin and it's not even 23 inches tall! How are they justifying that price?

Did you see this...
