I'm totally over reactionary lol. But this looks like they took the head off of the Jyn in Imperial Disguise and plopped it on this one. I was never a fan of that head sculpt at all, I thought their first Jyn was nearly perfect. Head sculpts will always be subjective though. But as of now I do think the Jyn PF head does look better than this one . I still don't like the Rey PF head. It doesn't really matter anyways because the paint Sideshow uses on the production versions for flesh tones will completely kill a good sculpt even if the statue has one. HT has them whooped in that department. I just wish Hot Toys could learn to stop with the "death stare" with so many of their sculpts lol.

I guess they are. Are the R2 units now obsolete?

You can still use a Besta for HTs and it will look great. All you need is one of these mini shelves: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40295552/ and then you can fit between 6-8 of them comfortably in each cube.

It definitely doesn't look as good as the prototype, but I can see enough of her in the videos where it probably won't be a big deal to me. I'm not even sure how they could get rid of that death stare. I think it helps when they don't have the eyes looking straight forward, other than that there's not much they can do.

Dude, using Bestas is actually a pretty dang good idea. Each cube can hold 6 figures and I could just organize them by theme. Plus Bestas are way easier to put together with the doors and they are easier to move. I do like the way mine currently look in the Bestas, I just need some of those shelves (and I can actually have those shipped, yay). I still haven't gotten around to purchasing the sliding door frames I need for my PAX, it just seems like a lot of work!

But maybe it will look good inhand.

I would have put it back on too. After spending so much money I wouldn't want to display only part of a statue, even if its most of it.

How does this happen for $215? You can go and buy a $7 hasbro figure and everything will be fine. Its stories like this that make me want to immediately reevaluate why I'm continuing this stupid hobby. I hope this was a rare case and yours is okay.

Thanks! I was struggling to find anything...might be because lots of sites won't load at work. My nephew wants an AT-AT walker, that First Order one should work. They should still be around in the evening right? I'm not going to the store at midnight!

I'm hoping Jyn and IG-88 both look good. Don't ask me how this stuff happens. The only other Sideshow figure I have is the AT-AT driver and he can't hold onto a weapon either. Sideshow still thinks their 1/6 figures should cost as much as Hot Toys though.

That First Order one does look pretty sweet. If I remember right during the TFA Force Friday thing the Lego stuff was readily available throughout the whole day. Only some of the 3 3/4" and 6" Black Series figures were sold out. I'm not going to the store at midnight either, but I have a feeling I will yet again order something online when they go up for sale. I have no idea what I'm going to get though. I am eyeing a few of the 3 3/4" figs.

I'd have a really hard time talking myself into buying a 1:6 Sideshow product, but if they are the only ones out there making the character you want then I guess you really don't have a choice. I still don't think theirs should be over $100 .

Its cool Sideshow is carrying their stuff, but its really disappointing they never carried their blue/grey Batman. I do like their black one a lot, but I've decided the outfit looks too much like Keaton's so I'm not going to get it. Their Wonder Woman has huge arms that make me feel really emasculated .

I just saw production pics of the HT Daredevil and it looks freaking AWESOME!

I'm pretty excited about HT Daredevil. I keep seeing more horror stories from people getting their IG-88. The guy today got a broken gun and broken leg. I'm picking mine up after work, wish me luck!

Ha, you're just jealous that she hits the gym. I'm waiting not so patiently for Prime 1's Jim Lee Superman. I would totally buy a Reeve Superman. I would probably even buy a Cavill Superman in a smaller scale than 1:2. I should try to track down the Hot Toys Reeve Superman instead of spending money on Sideshow 1:6 figures.

I totally am! You should definitely track down the Reeve HT. I'm 99% sure Prime 1 will make a 1:3 Justice League Superman. There is a lot of speculation he will be wearing his black suit during his return scene, but I don't think thats going to happen. But if he does and Prime 1 makes a variant of that suit I'll be all over it. Or if Hot Toys ever goes back and releases a Convention Exclusive variant of the black suit from the MOS dream sequence I'd be all over that too. I absolutely love that outfit!

I miss the store hunts too, but it was so stressful at the same time. Now its just so easy to buy the hard to find stuff on ebay. You're such a good uncle! I would have kept it for my selfish self.

Well the entire card industry took a dive because they were all being over produced (just like comic books) in the 80s-90s. Once eBay came around it really gave you an idea that there were tons of these cards out there and you didn't have to pay the price guide prices to a local card shop.

Ha! That's true about Sideshow pieces. I've noticed on the 1/6 board that there are complaints in every single thread (even for Hot Toys figures). They want them all to look exactly like the person or it's the WORST sculpt ever. Even when some are spot on there's always someone who says it looks nothing like them. It seemed like everyone was loving the Daredevil then one person complained about the mouth so the next few posters all piled on that the mouth was terrible. They nitpick a little too much for me.

So that Daredevil bust didn't sell (obviously). I sent him a message offering him $950 shipped outside of eBay and he told me no. He said I could send him a best offer when he relists it...which is pointless because he has it set to automatically decline any offer that's not close to his asking price apparently.

Probably the best sculpt anyone has ever done for that matter. If that person isn't happy with that one than he must not be happy with any of them.
