Thats exactly what I'm thinking! I don't know why they are hyping the Executioner so much, the design isn't even that amazing. The Flametroopers from the last movie looked way cooler and weren't hyped as much. Try to avoid official TLJ drawings as much as you can. Its not a massive spoiler but its pretty cool.

Get the Hot Toys one. How often are you actually going to use the remote control on this thing? And if you do you might run it into something and break it or scratch it and it will look bad on display. Its probably even more cheapely made than Sideshow's. (Sorry if I just crushed your dream . If I did just ignore what I said)

You totally just crushed my dreams. How am I going to get through the day now? Sigh. Is it bad that I'm tempted to get that executioner trooper? I'm getting caught up in the Force Friday hype and need something! Ha ha. BBTS has it, but they're actually charging a NRD like Sideshow. I hope this isn't the new norm. It does seem like a lot of people on the boards order at BBTS so they can cancel later if they want. Or maybe BBTS is just scared of being stuck with a ton more FO troopers!

You will regret ordering the Executioner within a couple of hours, if not only within a couple of minutes! Its super smart of BBTS to charge a NRD on it because they would get crushed by cancelations. I hope its not the new norm, but from a business standpoint if they are getting a lot of cancellations they will pretty much have to start charging NRDs. If you need to get yourself something just go to Walmart or Target and pick up a cheap Hasbro figure so you have something fun to open, then go to Kohl's and get yourself a TLJ t-shirt. You can make it through this, I know it!

But now how many people even know its Force Friday or even know that Force Friday is even a thing? The average SW fan is not going to remember things like this. Battlefront II isn't coming out till November I think.

The only Lego set sold out at Wal-Mart was the one I was looking for (of course). Thankfully TRU had 3 of them.

The guy at TRU told me they had about 20 people in line at midnight last night. You're right though, none of the casual Star Wars fans I talked to knew what Force Friday was.

Ha, if the trailer doesn't drop tomorrow then I won't be expecting it anymore. Heck, maybe I won't even watch it at this point. The less I know, the better! I do think it's silly that they keep copying vehicles from the OT, but they just keep making them bigger. I'm so nervous this movie is going to disappoint. I'm skipping the Han movie so I won't have Star Wars for 2 years!

Bigger explosions usually equals bigger box office and thats all they care about. I think its The Mouse that is in full control of reusing all of these OT things, I don't think it matters who the director is. They are too afraid to try something new, but they'll gladly take the criticism they are getting for recycling plots from previous movies because they are making bank while doing so. I was caught up in full blown SW hype once they announced new movies were coming, and then when TFA came out I was still in full blown hype mode. But now I can finally sit back and begin to critique TFA. I still really like the movie, but it definitely felt the most unoriginal of the entire saga for me. And now going into TLJ I'm already hoping its not going to be a complete rehash of Empire.

I like it, and I think its unique. Is this a custom? I'd still hold out for the Jim Lee one unless you're hankering for a new Superman statue and going through withdrawals lol. In which case I totally understand, and I say get it!

This is the same exact figure from the 40th anniversary thing, but I figured this one I could actually open, and I already did LOL. I am now fully back into Star Wars mode. I was out for awhile, but now I'm fully back in. Now I just need the damn TLJ trailer to drop already!

My account is acting squirrely, so I hope this goes through...

Well by the time XM gets the 1/4 DC license then I'll probably already have a pretty comprehensive 1/6 collection so I wouldn't go back. I would probably try to get Superman, but that's about it. Honestly I'm all of the sudden realizing that it was ridiculous how much money I spent on XM statues. I agree that the amount I've spent on some statues has made me think Hot Toys are "cheap" (which is scary!). I do still feel I'm getting my money's worth with Hot Toys figures. They come out of the box looking great and ready to set up plus the tailoring on the outfits is incredible. The Sideshow 1/6 figures on the other hand...IG-88 is decent and nostalgic, but really he should have only cost around $150. Sideshow figures definitely shouldn't be the same price as Hot Toys.

And no, there has been no mention of Poe yet. They still haven't released a bunch of figures that they have teased. Hopefully Poe comes out with TLJ figures. He definitely needs to be in his X-Wing gear! I'm hoping they make a Finn that's the right size since he's basically in the same outfit as well.

I would never have gotten into 1/4 Star Wars if Hot Toys would have just continued with the line after Bespin Luke. They really hosed me there! I'm not even going to address that Superman comment.

XM just announced their list of preorders for STGCC and Darth Maul is on there so we may finally see that statue! There were no DC statues on the list other than the samurai line.

Finally!! I hope they show it. I really need to find a place to buy these from. You said you had a good source, right? Think I could jump in on that?

You are probably right about Disney and the designs. It's unfortunate because people aren't going to stop going to the movies and the only thing that will make Disney listen is if you hit them in the wallet. I enjoyed TFA as well, but it was mostly because I liked the new actors and characters. The story itself was lacking and I would probably rank the movie in the bottom two out of all the Star Wars movies. I was very excited for TLJ especially with the new director, but I'm getting a little nervous as well. Someone said they read a leaked script and it's nothing like ESB if that makes you feel any better.

That Superman is sort of a custom. A small company does tiny runs of like 40 statues. It's the same on that did the Shazam statue. That Superman is actually based on a Jim Lee drawing.

That Vader is nice! You should probably get the 40th anniversary pack and keep that sealed as well. I've seen that one on clearance at WalMart, I think they over produced them.

I could see them tack on another $5 to $10 max, but and extra $20 was way too high. Nobody wanted to spend $40. I don't even know if these black series figs are worth $20 themselves. The helmeted characters look great, and I love the soft goods on them, but the human sculpts are barely better than some of the 3.75".

So they didn't even release a TLJ trailer during the 3 day Holiday weekend. WTF?

I'm a sucker for believing stories about leaked scripts and plot details. I guess if they put it on a computer its definitely stealable. I just remember the cast talking about how secretive the scripts for the SW movies are, and they were saying the security on them is like nothing else they've ever seen. I would think Disney is doing everything they can to make sure they don't get out when they aren't looking directly at them.

Are you considering getting one? I guess $1K shipped for something that is sort of a custom is fair. If it was me I'd just wait for Prime 1's though, that thing is going to be a masterpiece.

I hate everything! Seriously there is no pleasing me. I guess I just want Hot Toys quality for $20. Why is that asking so much? The Black Series probably is worth $20, but after receiving high end stuff I'm just not accustomed to this cheaper stuff yet. I actually totally feel my TLJ 3.75"s are worth $8. And I will get more of them! I guess I just want the Black Series to be priced at $15. That would make up for the inconsistency in quality between each figure to me.

It's officially 100 days until The Last Jedi by the way. Tomorrow will be down to double digits!

I try not to read it either, and I usually go out of my way to make sure I avoid the SW spoilers but now they are printing spoilers on toy packaging and digital trading cards months before the movie comes out. So I think spoilers for this movie are going to be pretty unavoidable. I just hope they don't reveal Rey's parentage before the movie comes out.

Oooh that's exciting! Now I'm really hoping you get it! You've been talking about getting that Superman collection going for awhile now, this would be so awesome to add to it!

You're almost done with Marvel statues? You should do what I'm doing and get back into toys! Then we can both complain about how $20 is too much money while we both continue to buy them .

Yup, that's what I'm saying! "Deals" do still exist out there. I'd really have no problem or complaints continuing to buy more from this line for this price. But it just goes to show how inflated the prices are on the stuff we are buying. I wouldn't be surprised if SS/HT/P1/XM are banking 2/3s or more of what they charge.

I was so excited two days ago. But then when yesterday started to wind down I realized they weren't going to drop the trailer during the weekend and now I feel like all hope is lost lol.

I know! I'm actually thinking about doing a Star Wars room and putting my Superman stuff out in the basement now. I think it's because my nephew got sweet Star Wars bed sheets and now I want some for my spare bedroom, ha ha. I need to get that collection going though! I should just sell off my Marvel statues to fund it.

I have decided that if you're going to collect figures then you need to get the entire vintage collection that ran from 2010-2013. I love those vintage card backs, those almost got me back into figures when they came out...and they're coming back! Here's a sneak peek:

I hope they do everything they can to keep that under wraps, but I know that's the one thing the people that want to spoil the movie are going to go after.

I love the idea of doing a Star Wars room! Although, I may be slightly biased lol. Its so hard to collect Star Wars, DC and Marvel stuff at the same time unless you are a millionaire. Not to mention how hard it is to fit in displays for everything. Do you have a list of Superman pieces you want yet? I wish more big name companies would start cranking out more statues of him. Not to mention his villains too. You have to get that Prime 1 Doomsday!!! Sell your XM stuff if you have to lol.

I bought three from the new Vintage line a couple of years ago, but I sold them. I'm pissed I sold them now, but I should be able to get them back for cheap. I really want that Vintage Jyn already! And that Death Trooper looks awesome too! I forgot to mention I watched Dean Knight's full review of the Hot Toys Jyn last night and now I actually kind of like the head sculpt .

That's a possibility. I'm not a fan of his though so I'm okay with them getting someone else. I have a feeling they are going to end up keeping Rian Johnson. I'm surprised how many people online are already wanting that without even seeing VIII yet.

I know what Superman pieces I want, someone just actually has to make them! I'm hoping from Prime 1 that I get a 1:3 Jim Lee, Kingdom Come, and Reeve Superman! Then I'm hoping Iron Studios does a 1:3. As far as stuff that's out right now, I basically just need to track down a Reeve and Cavill Hot Toys figure. There are a couple DC Comics statues I might get too. I haven't decided on Doomsday, I don't want a single 1:3 villain if there won't be anymore.

I love those vintage card backs. Like I said, that was the closest I ever came to getting back into Star Wars figures. They are great for keeping them in the package collectors. Ha, I'm glad you came around on Jyn's head sculpt! Someone posted the process of people reacting to Hot Toys figures, I think you reached the last stage.

I just want some original stories and good movies! I couldn't care less who the director is as long as he can deliver on that. I'm guessing we're going to have the First Order hunting Finn like the Empire was hunting Han and we'll get Jyn training with Luke like Luke training with Yoda...then we'll get Jyn running off to save her friends and she'll probably getting a limb cut off in the end. Or Luke will show up in the end to save her and they'll kill him off. My inner child won't be able to handle seeing Luke die.
