Steelbook Hall of Shame

As much as we love movies...we also love a steelbook with a great design...inner artwork, embossed/debossed covers, intricate designs...BUT once in awhile studios get lazy and give us sub-par design, unimaginative steelbooks. Some might like it but majority of us just don't get it! so this is a place to "celebrate" these bad releases!

Any nominees...?

looks like Spiderman 1, 2 and 3 from Future Shop will be a great contender and Casino (Play.com) with red faced cover.

The recent Independence Day from Germany was pretty bad. Also I only saw pictures of the japanese BTTF steels (the black ones), but they look horrible.

I think the Kick Ass (first release) is pretty aweful, great film and the best they could come up with was the title sprayed in yellow on a black background . . . Meh!

I love the Japanese BTTF steels! I do think Source Code was pretty bad!

The original UK Kick Ass was my first steel so i've always forgiven its lack of anything sexy.
I don't even count the abomination that was Source Code as a steel book.....

I quite like all of those.

Fair enough, there are better steelbooks for these films out there, but I wouldn't consider any of the above in the top 10 (or even top 20) of the worst steelbooks ever. Obviously that's just my opinion though.

The FS Spider-Mans for sure!

I know most people love 'em but the white wave from Japan that's just a purple/blue image on a white background (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Blade Runner, Heat, Matrix, Last Samurai, etc). Total lack of creativity.

That white wave from Germany was just AWFUL. They truly are the worst steelbooks just all around (and to think I own one ).

X10 they look fugly , worse than the Spiderman's (just a little)
