Stolen in the Mail??

So pissed off right now
Its been 20 days since I placed an order with HMV and Amazon Germay!!
Still have not received my steelbooks from either of them and I spent alot of money on them as a Christmas gift to myself!!
It would figure, that neither of them gave me a tracking number!!!
Can I do anything to trace them without a tracking number??..All that money I spent and neither one of the companies can spend the extra $1 to give me a tracking number!!!...So stupid!!

Have you called them ? and i guess it depends on your location , i have waited for 7 days in the past from hmv and play and its still a busy period in-between Christmas and the New Year .. Amazon normally give you an idea on when the parcel will be delivered on the order page ..

Im in the USA...Amazon always gives me a tracking number, and of course, the first time they dont, I didnt get my package!!
This is only the third time I have ordered from HMV, but the last 2 times, my packages arrived within 10 days
I spent over $200 on steelbooks, and a few of them are now sold out

It's the holidays so there is a good chance your packages are stuck in customs.

Yes, especially for the international packages. Although I would email amazon.de before 30 days just to be safe and can get your items replaced.

I emailed amazon.de and they said to wait until after 1st, if I still don't have them..

I have had packages from AMZ DE and HMV take 5.5 weeks to get to me here in Canada. 20 days is only 3 weeks. I wouldn't worry just yet 93cobra. Like Horhay said most of that time its usually just sitting in a customs warehouse waiting to be processed.

someone on these forums is waiting on a steelbook from me sent from the UK to DE and it was sent 10th december and still hasnt got there yet , i got his package inside a week so no clue as to why the wait the other way around

I sent a package with tracking to the USA it took well over 6 weeks to arrive i am sure they will arrive.

Its just really odd this time around, because amazon.de always gives me a tracking number and this time they didn't...And, its never taken more than 10 days for me to get anything from HMV and its been 20..
So, hopefully it's just the holidays, that are slowing it down this time!!

Check that... I was chatting with my sis and she said she received an item from HMV UK once after 7 weeks! So it does happen, sucks, but it can take a long time sometimes.

HMV haven't got the best reputation for shipping, and thats in the UK where they are based. No wonder they are in trouble, their CS is terrible.

I have stuff coming from Amazon CA and the shipment was sent 27th, will wait and see how long that takes to arrive. Amazon USA shipments usually arrive well within 10 days.
