Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Yes does look odd with just the rating logos on it.

I'm guessing the print run for this is more than 4000, so in no rush to get this or Skyfall given the exclusivity is gone.

There is no rush of course but pricing is key. UK editions are the lowest priced and might attract more to buy this over the other editions which are double or triple the price.

Second time lucky with Amazon... they've agreed to refund me £3. Although they still didn't really give me a proper answer to my concerns... I asked why they were only giving refunds to a select few who took the time to get in touch with them, rather than giving it to EVERYONE.

What makes it worse is I only ordered the steelbook on Thursday (I made a mistake so had to cancel my original order), and yet they've still agreed to give me a refund. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about being given £3 back, I'm just disappointed with the way they've dealt with all this... they've completely ignored their own policy on pre-orders.

Lets say 1000 people ordered this for 15£ and only 100 are claiming their discount = amazon gets 4000x15-100x3 = 59 700 £
If they give the discount to everyone : 4000x12 = 48 000 £ for amazon

TL;DR : at least 11000 reasons why they shouldn't give the discount to everybody

My point is... if they're not going to give the refund to everyone, then they shouldn't give it to anyone at all. What they're doing is unfair and breaking their own policy, as I've already said.

I wish I hadn't posted about this as all it has done has caused people to ***** and moan instead of praising Amazon. I did not expect Amazon to do anything, but they did and that's why they're the best online retailer. I had ordered mine at 09.37 on the 29th Jan . so missed it by half hour thanks to the school run looked at 23.05 on the 28th and nothing listed. SO confusing Amazon by rights should have listed the right price in the first place also listed it sooner .

I have JUST had the cancellation message from H.M.V witch is pants that should have been sent sooner.

I think that in my case Amazon have been fair £12.50 I think is a Brilliant price.

Anyway dispatched so SHOULD be here for next weekend and that will mean that the reality T.V will be none existent because we will have Taken 2 on .
