It is not really that expensive IMHO. The asking price from most vendors for the standard 3D Amaray is - $40. For the quality and collectability of this beauty the price is pretty reasonable and worth every single penny IMHO.

50 $ for this one its not really expensive when u have knowledge how good this steelbook is ( but u forgot mention about shipping costs + 14$) imo still worth to buy it. But overall for this price i going to be more selective. Every steel is worth that much how much u able to pay for it (how desireble is for you)

Thankfully not every steel I want IS worth that much to me or costs as much as this one does. :)

If all steelbooks were of this quality I would be happy to pay more for them but I'd be forced to be much more selective with my purchases though.

LOL even "grail" titles I open. Don't have one title in my collection that hasn't been opened, watched and then placed inside a plastic slip for protection :D

Go on open it you know you want to lol!

Same. There are a few titles on hand that I have sealed but I don't consider them part of the GT collection. They are simply future trade / gift / give away fodder.

Yep, I have a second German copy of Kick Ass 2 on the way that will remain sealed, but I already own it unsealed. Just a spare/maybe trade at some point. The rest I open. I buy them to keep them so mainly just buy films I actually like and want nice copies of.

Just ordered a Lenticular copy yesterday directly via Kimchi. Cant wait!

Like others have commented, I can't believe this is still available. Did they increase the limited print run? Has something like that even happened with any steel manufacturer in the past? hmmmm

Many steelbooks have had increased print runs. I doubt kimchi would increase a print run though at risk of their reputation. Congrats on the purchase  it's my second favourite release I own beaten only by Lion King Taiwan.

Interesting.

Oh yeah, last week I ordered the Lion King Taiwan via eBay (seller in Taiwan). Let's see which one gets delivered first!
