Hey designer dude, this is no national geographic's documentary about the reproduction of turtles! :shoot: As much as I like the movie, I won't buy it.
Thought they would have chose better artwork for this but oh well I'll probably end up getting it regardless

... and this is why we will keep getting offered below par releases.
Same as some others. Even with the artwork being questionable, I do need to add the film to my collection in steel, so even if they had a pile of turtle poop on the cover, I would be forced to get it as it's the only release.
Personally, I don't feel me "taking a stand" and passing on it would get a steelbook with better artwork released. The only thing it would get me, is no steelbook.
Exactly not much is going to happen the steelbook is going to sell no matter the artwork really, all the people who hate on the art probably end up pre ordering anyway like the scream and sin city steels. I like the film I don't own it rather have it in steel than amaray so I will get it.

I know what you both mean but I don't think it's making much difference they're always gonna sell out with these "ultra limited print runs" but I'm an average collector don't own any international steels only UK releases so if the film isn't released here in steel I tend to go for the amaray but that's my choice. If I get the chance to own it in steel here I would rather have it in steel these kimchi and blu fans don't interest me they're nice art and stuff and I see what people mean they are better than half the stuff zavvi release but I'd rather have my collection all UK releases. All comes down to what you want to spend your money on.
Except this title isn't an ultra limited run.
Of course it would, money talks. If they don't sell their allocation then the retailer will go back to the manufacturer and complain/inform them of poor sales. But the problem? People still buy it anyway (even if it's terrible), like you said. I really wanted a nice Sin City steelbook, but no way would I want that disaster on my shelf, so I didn't buy it. But plenty of people did...
I'm not singling you out, but you (and many others) are the reason these below-par releases are selling out. Why would Zavvi care about artwork and customer complaints if they sell out their allotment? The same can be said for Kimchi, Blufans etc. They could send out the most horrible steelbook going, slap a Kimchi sticker on it and it would sell out. It's like people aren't even exercising their own judgement anymore, they're just buying anything and everything that comes out!
The design of this steelbook is not good, and it's a real shame that it will probably sell out anyway. And I'll be left without another title I wanted to own, but didn't want to spend ~£20 for - due to the poor design.
