Well with Choi and Tony meeting to discuss the slipcover design i'm pretty sure the end result will be impressive. Either it's a full slip or a quarter it doesn't really matter..as long as it looks good. But I think the majority prefer the quarter just so they can see the steel which of course makes sense.

I actually prefer a full slip for this one. Not many steelbooks get a full premium slip with an embossed title. The art on the slip should be completely different from the steelbook, because if not, it is an unnecessary redundancy.

As for the whole appreciating a steelbook 'naked' thing, I bought an extra copy so I could open it. Touching the actual surface of a steelbook is ten times better than feeling it or seeing it through foil. Daz (wherever he is) was right, steels should come open (like in polybags), so ppl won't be afraid to open them.

I thanked Outlaw1986 by mistake. Dam this iPad. ;)

@Steelknight47. I agree with you buddy. I also bought a second copy so I can open it and see this Steel in all its glory..

Walk me through the logic of why a full slip is desirable? Are we steel fans here, or slip fans here? Because if you're a slip fan, I hate to tell you, you might be in the wrong section of the forum. We do have a slip section, you might wanna go there instead. So let me try and follow your logical train of thought. In order to actually see the steelbook, a person MUST purchase 2!, just to have the pleasure of viewing? I guess the next best answer would be just to open it. But what happens to the value of the steel when opened? Is this a viable option? I'm of the opinion that many would want to keep this sealed, as there are many versions of this movie available to watch.

Oh BTW, for all of you who don't wanna see a full slip, you better speak up now, or forever hold your peace.

I will like a slipcover with arnold scharwzeneger face on the front, just in front of the terminator head... Like this, when we will take the slipcover, the terminator face will appear...

Hi my friend Anthony

Kimchidvd's still making several design concept art regarding scharwzeneger image or something looks so different

Merci!

While you're discussing the full slip thing, you tell Tony that the best way of approaching this is Elite Squad Blufans excl. This has the the factory seal beneath the slip, and would please both parties, not just the full slip crowd. You tell Tony it makes absolutely no sense in covering steel with cardboard. Having a great steel wrapped up in a material that my cookies and cereal comes in is not desirable. Failing that, get rid of the full slip, go with a quarter slip instead.
i am a fan of both slips and steels, although admittedly i am a slip fan more. but this option seems like a really good idea with the shrink wrap over the steel and under the slip.

I don't know that I necessarily want no slip, but I definitely would like to see the steelbook without having to open it, so a slip on the outside of the shrink wrap seal might be a good compromise. I have somewhere around 150-200 of them and only one of them has been opened.

Yeah, there is definitely a lot of crossover between Steel, Limited Edition, Digi and other 'specific' kinds of edition fans. To each their own, I hope with a partial or full slip they really provide something nice for this title. I love Terminator, so I am stoked! :scat:
