I think I have lost 5 or 6 ebay auctions trying to score this beauty. May have to bite the bullet and just do a buy it now for a crazy high price

funny how things can change within 2 months.. won an auction for ~25gbp including shipping yesterday

so much for "next grail" ;-)

Not that I would ever call a holy grail early, but this release will probably remain desirable for years to come.

This was only released 3 1/2 months ago. Many true grails didn't earn their grail title until 3 1/2 years after they were released. Every release needs time to 'mature' and there have been quite a few this year that could well be grails years down the line.

When I say grail though I mean sought after, not necessarily expensive. But the more sought after it becomes then the price will obviously increase accordingly over time.

In this hobby there are lots of fly by night collectors who come and go within a year, many who stick around for a couple of years then lose interest, and then there are those that stick around for the long run and have been around since the 'beginning'. The latter category are likely to be the only ones who have actually watched a title from release to grail over time, and could well be the only ones to see such huge price increases on titles they have owned from new.

Nowadays too many new collectors think there could be a quick buck on 'the next grail' and it can artificially inflate prices as soon as something sells out. That doesn't make it a grail. The true test is to look at something a few years down the line and see how sought after it is. Given that this is a Terminator title which is quite unique I expect it will stand the test of time.

Quote me on this in a few years time and we'll see if I'm right or just talking a load of crap :p

Just received a copy of this from a fellow ninja. I was a bit peeved that the GB came back the day after I bought it but now that it's in hand all that's forgotten, bloody gorgeous steelbook. Brilliant embossing and a silky smooth matte finish, this is how to do matte, none of this streaky crap. Awesome.
