No, it is not....
it's very similar to the EU release ...the only differences are: debossed/embossed eyes and embossed T2, a bad chosen interior artwork and a ugly slipcase (back side). novamedia's release is much better in my opinion. the debossing and embossing is superb, the artwork is great (I love it, when they use the poster artwork for steelbooks) and the intererior artwork is much better (but still not the best for this movie) and the lenti is awesome.

For example, the T3 image on the back of the T2 Lenti slip. That's what I call improved :thumbs:
sure it's a mistake, which 99% of all buyers didnt even notice ;)

each to their own.

@harry, mine just arrived... and it's beautiful.. so so happy I managed to get a lenti, it's frigging awesome.. and the steelbook:OMG::OMG: it's easily one of my favourite steelbook's now. I didn't like the art used on the back, no..I did like the art I just don't like steels with that little image with a blob around it, wish it had covered the whole of the back of the steel. . But the image itself looks sharp (for some reason I thought it might look blurred ).

Just tested the disc in my REGION B player and it works fine:) it's not like I need another T2 disc to watch but it's nice to know I can play it if I want to.

This steelbook is going straight up on display. .. I    it! hope you don't have to wait too long for yours to arrive:thumbs: I'll quit rambling now.. just super excited:bag:

I completely agree, but nevertheless the Kimchidvd version is not rubbish. Only because a nicer steelbook is released does not make the older release look bad. I remember when the Kimchi release was very sought after and many were disappointed that they did not get one.

It looks beautiful. Can't wait to get my group buy! If every steelbook had original poster art and gloss, I'd be in heaven. That's my main reason for ordering the Star Trek movie steelbooks, as I think this is the closest we'll ever get to poster art steelbooks for them.

I am really bummed out by the T3 image on the back of the Lenti. I wish Novamedia would see their error in it and offer a free replacement with a artwork for proper movie or just a blank backside. Is it even the same studio who owns T2 and T3? I wonder what would have happen if there would be a Iron Man image on the back?
I really hate open mouth endoskeletons and i know Stan Winston would turn around in his own grave if he knew about this.
