Do they have many in store as I may be going to over to New York during the time it's released so might try & pick up a copy or two.

Most stores usually carry 15-30 copies. I've noticed certain stores sell out of anything steelbook related right away, while others will still have an item a few days later. it all depends on what location you go to. But I will definatley advise you to get to a store when it OPENS.

I hope that this artwork is going to change ... it is so much more beautiful than the other.
But I do not believe too

I think it really depends on the store as far as qty. Sony loves to release the same cover worldwide. Based on the fact that the art for other countries is different, maybe this is a slip, or they finally decided to do a different cover for this one. Fingers crossed, can't wait to pick this one up:)

Seeing that UK has this artwork for the slipcover, could Best Buy be including a slipcover with this steelbook? Interesting possibility given that, as DB said, Sony loves to release the same steelbook cover worldwide.

The Japanese version has this artwork as slipcover over amaray and on steelbook separately, so there is a chance this artwork might stick.

I don't care for the idea of a slipcover on a steelbook. I would think there would be the potential of scratching it up. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'm really hoping they stick with this art but if they don't the other artwork used in other countries is just as nice! :D

Usually, slipcovers for steels are really nice. Germany and Japan have some. They actually are effective at protecting the steel, while giving it bonus artwork.

Typically studios only have a few choices that they approve for the artwork of a movie, so it's entirely possible that they will reuse the art done for the regular release in one area as the "special edition" art for another.

Same thing happened with Iron Man 1 & 2 from play.com.

The steels have the artwork released with regular amaray slipcover editions that we saw here in the USA.

I'm sticking to the theory that the USA got it's own print run, with special artwork, just for Best Buy.

Now crossing the fingers that it's actually correct... :ohno:

BB Exclusive SB with a slipcover?...Doubt it but it would be nice.

If the coverart sticks than FS will have the samething meaning there online photo is incorrect. I keep thinking how Snow White & The Huntsmen had different artwork as opposed to those sold in europe and asia.

Don't you guys have Best Buy in Canada also, if not I could probably help you get one once it is released

Best Buy owns Futureshop in Canada. The Amazing Spider-Man steelbook in Canada is a Futureshop exclusive (and will not contain the 3D disc). Moreover, Best Buy Canada is not carrying the steelbook sold by Best Buy USA, and, so far, the advertised artwork from Best Buy USA differs from the advertised artwork from Futureshop. The only place where the advertised artwork from Best Buy USA seems the same is from Amazon Japan.

Typically, Futureshop in Canada carries the exclusive steelbooks (not Best Buy).
