This was the response I received from Zavvi regarding the status of this steelbook, not much info: :(

What kind of people are working in their customer service? They even don't know the availability of their products EEK!EEK!

Zavvidiots.

It's not the customer service assistants' fault really. I imagine they're on minimum wage working a thankless job with someone listening in to their calls ready to fire them on a whim. That's what most of these jobs are like anyway.

It's really the upper management, or decision-makers to blame. Despite constant complaints, they seem unwilling or unable to change the website to reflect whether or not an item really is sold out (or the Zavvi version of sold out) or if it's simply not yet available for preorder.

So many issues could be resolved with either...

a) Zavvi only listing titles on their site once they can be preordered
b) have a 'this item is not yet available to preorder' icon

I'm not a website developer, but it can't be that hard surely?

Oh, and perhaps they could sort their release dates out too before listing them while they're at it.

Yes, working for Zavvi CS must be a thankless job. At least I'm just buying the steelbooks and not trying to sell them.

Rumours claim that this is due to go live to pre-order tomorrow (Saturday 21st June 2014)

If this is indeed true, then Zavvi are certainly cutting things a bit fine if they plan to release this title on the 7th July! Why leave it until the last minute? A lot of people have previously complained about not having enough time between pre-orders going live and release day for other titles, so why are Zavvi trying to pull the wool over our eyes once again? I'm sure most people would expect at least a month's notice to be able to budget properly for such an event, and certainly NOT having only 16 days pre-order period! Considering Zavvi start shipping a few days earlier, that's only two weeks between pre-order and shipping!

This is NOT acceptable! I expect the release date to be put back to a more suitable date (Ie, NOT the 11th August!)

That is what I got. :) Just like Mulholland Drive is Sunday at 18:00 UK time.

Another forum is saying it looks like tomorrow, Saturday at 6pm UK time for the go-live time.

:p ;)

There is no wool being pulled over anyone's eyes. The July 7th date has been known for a while, all we've been waiting for is it to go live.
I hope none of the Disney ones are delayed again, people have had plenty of time.

There is no way we will get 5 Disney steelbooks on the first week of July. That's mental and extremely expensive. Some dates will change. Or at least I hope
