The listing on Zavvi doesn't actually state it having a gloss finish. Only the OP here makes any mention of gloss :(.

I opened mine up and it has a scratch on the back like a thin one at the top would I still be able to return that to zavvi? Don't know if they let you replace open ones?
Thanks

If its faulty or damaged you can return if it was opened and are entitled to a replacement or a refund or you can accept their partial refund if they offer you that
As it damaged you can choose which of the above options you want to accept

If it was a unwanted item as in not faulty or not damaged it has to be unopened to return for a refund

In your case its
You opened and then noticed damaged so it would be classified as a damaged product
Its best to take a photo that clearly shows the damage so request for a replacement or refund is processed easily

Note sometimes it can be that's its not damaged but just needs a clean with a fibre cloth so try that first to make sure it not damaged

Thanks for the quick reply I will send them a photo as it's my fave I want it a bit more pristine.

Love this one... the colours are really vibrant thanks to the gloss. I like how the gold parts have a bit of a metallic shine to them too. And yay for the return of Zavvi's white boxes!

I might be the only person disappointed with the return of the white boxes - this is the first of my zavvi steelbooks to come dented!

I think they should have kept some consistency on this steel. I don't get why they decided to do the back so drastically different. Anyway, I'll see when it arrives. I really love the front, the embossed musical notes, fantastic! Can't wait, might receive tomorrow because it shipped out Monday. Shockingly, my last steel from Zavvi (Under the Skin) to Canada only took 4 business days. Hoping it arrives before the weekend! Fingers crossed.

Yes, they will if it's damaged. I found myself in a similar situation with my first copy of Mulan. It was dented on the back, but this was not visible until I had removed the shrink-wrap and the j-card. At first, they offered me a 15% refund, which I refused insisting on a replacement, which they eventually provided. Unfortunately, the whole process is very slow compared with retailers like Amazon. E.g. 1-2 days to respond to each message. I first raised my query on a Tuesday, but they didn't email me a returns label until the following Sunday. It took another 9-10 days for the replacement to arrive. With Amazon, they reply almost instantly and send replacements immediately via next day delivery! Zavvi could certainly learn a few lessons in customer service!

Just got arisocats with paint loss around the border, will be sending this back for a replacement. A part from that the steel is very nice.
Sorry I can't show a photo, it keeps saying the photo is too large and I have no idea how to make it smaller:-(

If you haven't got any photo management software on your computer, just select the photo and chose the option to send it via email. That usually gives you the option of making it smaller. Once you have it attached to a draft email, you can save it back to your computer (best chose a different file name, though, so as not to over-write the original!). Then, viola, you will have a smaller photo file. Oh, and you can then delete the draft email at this stage!
