I agree, it's a great price for a new release SB, excellent film, lovely artwork, limited to 4000..It's hard not to wait with zavvi's (almost immediate) price drops.. but its definitely worth the price tag as it stands.

Pretty shocking that it's dropped less than a week after release. I know its only £2.50 but still. Almost like being penalised for pre ordering these days. Trouble is when these new releases are limited to X copies you never know when it may sell out so pre ordering is pretty essential. Just my opinion.

I read it in the style of the exorcist,

Was worth 17.49 to me too.. used a code (horror code a while back) paid £15.87.
I may be the only one.. but I'd love a SB release of the original amityville horror, I think these two films compliment each other well, both cases were investigated by the Warrens, the films were made around 32 years apart but I felt there was a connection in some ways whilst watching the conjuring.. maybe its just me.. anyway, awesome steel, wouldn't have wanted to of missed this purchase

I've not seen what that looks like but I take it its awesome.. maybe zavvi would sell more if they added some nice slips to some of their exclusives

Amityville was really the next case they worked on but sequel will be based on the Enfield Ghost (finally a big US horror about British haunting)!
I got original amityville on blu from US.

Watched the Amittyville's this week, all 3 in the Scream\Shout factory set...great watch..

And ive caved and ordered The Conjuring....its a quality looking steel and enjoyable film

Haven't upgraded my amityville from dvd as yet.. it would be cool if they made a few warren ghost hunter movies and then release them in SB's.. that'll be a set I'd be interested in collecting in the future

It may well be something that will help zavvi so they don't have to drop the prices so quickly, considering how many releases zavvi have per month it would be difficult to make that happen, maybe they could do a few select SB's at first, slips, lenticular etc and see the kind of response they get. I do wonder if they look at what their competition is up to.. ES don't seem to put their prices down, kimchi and blufans etc with all their extras.. I think zavvi have done some great SB, theres just too many let downs inbetween

Well there are 3 movies being made from Conjuring, one will be sequel with Enfield Ghost and second will be pre-quel about Annabelle Doll. No news on third.

The Enfield Poltergeist story for The Conjuring 2 is weak and makes no sense.

1. The Warrens were not involved.
2. It was a few disturbed kids jumping off beds having a laugh.

If The Conjuring 2 intends to expand the Warrens legacy, then this is the wrong story. I repeat, The Warrens were NOT involved in this. They may have looked into it after it happened. They were NOT present at the time of the bed hopping or any of the other hoaxy poaxy.
