Saw this last night.... I enjoyed the film but I don't know if I'd bother picking up the Blu-Ray

I seen the trailer for this, just looked like another poor effort at a scary movie, they def don't make them like they used to, these type of movies are all too similar and boring imo

Is the Re-watch Factor low for this then?

When I watched the conjuring for the first time, having seen no trailers or read anything about the film, it put me in mind of when I saw the amityville horror when I was 9,(it scared me back then) conjuring had a very similar feel to it (for me anyway).. if I had been 9 again this movie would have scared me to death, I can see why the conjuring has had the reaction it has from its audiance, it is, in my opinion the best film of its type out of american I have seen in many many years.. the script, acting and an amazing job by the director, perfect. I'm really looking forward to watching it again on it's release day. It is the kind of film that after watching twice I will keep it on the shelf a year or two before watching it again myself but if inbetween that time I have friends over who haven't seen it,I would enjoy watching it many times over with people who haven't seen it.
I love the steelbook art, and pre ordered as soon as I watched the film.
Having seen the back and inside art I am happy with it although someone posted their own ideas for the rest of the art work used and I would agree that their choice is much better..and I would have liked to have seen that on this steel.. but I am happy with it as I am buying it for the movie and front art alone.:movie:

I really like the artwork for this steel. Contemplating a blind buy for this. I was a big fan of insidious and sinister, so if this film is anything like those two I should enjoy it.

This film is better than sinister but i will rate same with insidious. Both films are very good film:scat:

hey i saw insidious the other weekend & it was unexpectedly good actually. Its about as scary as seeing your sister in the shower, but the whole poltergeist-meets-new-age thing was pretty cool.

i c there is a squeal out in theaters this Friday 13 too, which i might check it out if i remember

Its out 22nd October in the US!!

The US release has very limited extras though. I'm very surprised by that! I think WB will double dip on this release and I highly doubt the US will see a steelbook version unfortunately.

Sinister is at least ten times scarier and jumping than this!

I thought Sinister was pretty pathetic. The only reason I watched it all the way through was because I thought Ethan Hawke is a great actor.

Not scary. Jumpy at bits. But not scary jumpy. Just jumps for no reason. Crap.

The Conjuring is a masterpiece compared to Sinister. And I have no idea why people compare them. They are nothing alike.

You should compare The Conjuring to movies like The Haunted (1991) and The Amityville Horror (1979). Related movies.
