I dunno, I mean, Thor & Dusk Till Dawn sell out at 14.99+15.99 each, had the same print run and are both back catalog movies. And I believe each of those (not sure about FDTD) had previous steelbook releases, while Conjuring is a new movie, a very popular movie, an exclusive steelbook, so far exclusive design and the only steelbook announcement for this movie, and a relatively cheap price. It's only 17.49 - coupons could be even 15.75 - which is less than what the back catalog movie 'Thor' costs.

I smell an increased (unannounced) print-run here .

Any admins who have more information about a possible increased print-run?

(Just assumptions btw, movie might sell like ****, but I highly doubt that ).

Thor and FDTD are much more popular movies and have built up a steady fanbase. I think lots of people ordered Thor just so they could complete thier Avenger collection without stumping up the money for the HMV one. As from FDTD most people ordered it for Selma (WEA helped).

This one will sell out eventually but lots of 4K print run steels hang around for ages (some of the Play ones are still like that - Man on Fire and Goldeneye for example). Once they're gone people go into panic mode and hunt for copies when they weren't so bothered before.

I for one could not wait to December to watch this, especially with the Halloween season upon us. Poor timing for a release if you ask me (for the steelbook that is). I'm definitely double dipping on this one. The lenticular release is fantastic as I'm sure this one will be as well. Watched it last night, and man, this one is spine tingling! It only has 3 special features in the extras though. Wonder if this will be the same or have more?

Releasing a horror film start of Xmas season is a stupid idea really.

I hate the wait too so purchased US disc and now am sold it in time for this.

Agreed! If possible watch it with as little chance of interruptions as possible in a darkened room. The atmosphere makes all the difference for this film imo. My brother first watched it in his hotel room with his friends giggling throughout. Needless to say he didn't think too much of the film until a second viewing.
